Right on Vin, I have had migraines since I was in 6th grade. I used to have them once a week for many years. It always resulted in me throwing up after being sick for several hours. The only thing is that throwing up gave me no relief, so it was literal torture. One day I forgot a disc and felt I needed to take it back to college class, and I turned around in the middle of a summer day with the sun in my eyes and I was driving down the road in so much pain...and the next thing I know the car is shaking. I had passed out going 60 miles an hour, went off the road and when I looked to my left the guard rail was so close I could touch it. I did not wreck, but that was a big wake up call to treat those headaches with respect. I feel you man. I still have them occasionally, but the nausea doesn't happen much anymore. I got diagnosed with leukemia last year and ever since, my headaches have pretty much stopped...so ironic.

I underwent treatment back in November/December and my blood has been normal ever since. I was going to the doctor every month to get checked, but this last time they said I could come every 2 months because I was doing so well. So yeah man, I appreciate the concern. :)
Hope you're still doing good, taffer. My other half suffers from migraines - really woke me up to how debilitating they are. Been using triptans with some success and high doses of aspirin . You're right, they're to be respected!
@@rraabbeeoo Thank you man. Yes I still have them occasionally, but still no nausea. I can usually ward them off with just Excedrin migraine, but I have to be able to notice the signs (dulling of hearing, vision problems, irritability)
and take action right away if possible. Unfortunately once that threshold has passed, you just have to wait it out and avoid light. I have this stuff called 4Head that I ordered from England that is very similar to a product that was kind of made fun of called "Head-On". They can joke all they want, it did provide instant relief so I could get by until I could get to where I could go to bed. But yeah, that's how things are going. Thanks for asking!

A lot of bands/band members/singers will keep a journal on them while they're travelling the world to document their lives/encounters/feelings etc on and of everything..this song seems to be Corey or a band members collective thoughts/feelings towards/on what they go through/encounter on a regular basis as a rockstar who's also trying to live a normal life as a regular human being and duality is probably a reference or metaphor for and about the onstage persona or character that band members/rockstars/musicians general create(d) for themselves and then themselves as the real person stripped of that persona living or trying to live a normal life on the outside of the stage...it's what all musicians go through presumably...

It was written about a conversation between the lead singer Myles Kennedy and the lead guitarist Mark Tremonti, Myles was struggling with faith and had alot of questions after his dad passed away. And mark is saying dont lose hope, maybe there is something out there! They even sing back and fourth to each other like they're having the conversation, it's an amazing song and the note Myles hits at the end will blow you away

Hey Vin, I have had at least 2 Complex migraines ..they are the absolute worst.. symptoms are pretty much Stroke status! (What you described sounds like it might have been a complex migraine) ... knowing what you want to say, But can't verbalize it..can't think clearly...cold sweats..half of your body goes numb.. the weird light patterns you see... the blacked out areas where you can't see at all, and stay in the same spot in your eyes when you move your head.. Topiramate is working ok for me, Excedrin migraine works ..this might be tmi... but when excedrin don't help, starting the process of forcing myself to throw up does... something about the pressures it causes in your body.... weird but, you'll do almost anything sometimes to get rid of a migraine! Oh, and really loud ultra low frequency bass music works too (for me)

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 5 years ago , this is no exaggeration, I literally hurt all over my body 24/7 , none of the pain pills or other medication that is supposed to help does absolutely nothing , or at least it does not seem like it does

I have chronic migraines, the pressure point between your thumb and forefinger does help a little. Also between your eyes and if you rub your hands to get them hot put them over your eyes--it helps some. For me, a hot shower in a dark bathroom is best.
The bang as you call it is what makes slipknot if they didnt have that they probably would be as good as they are
Slipknot is in my top 5 band. One of my favorite songs from them is Gehenna from All Hope Is Gone album. It's almost 7 minutes long and has this progressive/doom metal vibes, so it is not a typical Slipknot song you would start off when you are not familiar with the band. I find Gehenna very interesting song with very catchy chorus and weird lyrics. I don't wanna reveal to much if you did not hear it before! You should react to that song. Peace!

Their' banging a keg, and its not the only thing they play. There are 3 percussionist in Slipknot, and that's what makes their' rhythm section unique.

I like the take on a cry out to the big homie JC coming from this song. That's the 1st time I've heard somebody give that side on it. From my take, it is similar but different in the fact that he's just saying Jesus if this pain goes on I'm not gonna make it. I cant take this shhtuff anymore and the only thing stops the pain is pushing my fingers into my eyes to inflict more pain to even feel. Drugs, addiction, depression, anger, emotional abuse and or just (sic) of the world and this life's journey etc. I really dig that take on the cry out to the lord for some kind of reason and relief just so that an answer could even want to be accepted from God since this is coming from a self-proclaimed atheist Mr Corey The Great Big Mouth Taylor himself. So it does raise more awareness on a deeper level for God's existence to reveal himself so the pain can stop even if only momentarily. Anyways great channel guys. Apologies for the long comment 🤷♂️🤘

I've been getting migraines since I was 5 or 6 years old, and hell.. The visual distortion, the sweating, the nausea.. You're not kidding, my dude, it's one of the most hellish things. As far as research a couple years ago, medical science doesn't quite understand migraines, but here's a "fun" fact: migraines can often be accompanied by symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, schizophrenia, epilepsy, fibromyalgia, etc, in addition to the blurriness, nausea, pain, etc. and so on, days to WEEKS before AND after the actual "pain" part of the migraine. That, it just straight up insanity to me. It doesn't make a lot of sense, but I hope medical science gets their shit together cuz dealing with these things so often, it feels like I'm being knocked down a few more pegs every time I get one.

Opus is metal, like classic metal, Infestiss is Classic rock. Meloria is modern rock. The new album is glam/classic rock. Those are the normal genres I would classify the albums as.
