    Great unit! Thanks for sharing!
    Few thoughts:
    I’d trade that griddle for an outside fridge. Easier to pack a Blackstone than a spare fridge.
    Keep the cubbies n the bunks!
    100% agree on the shoe cubby
    Adjust one pantry to allow a kitchen trash can for travel
    Tons of storage! More than my 33’ Jayco!

    Shoe cubby suggestion ✅
    Keep the bed cubbies, kids need them. ✅
    Make that pantry a combo pull out pantry on both sides (it's really deep), like Brinkley, and I also like the trashcan idea. ✅
    Othewise this one does check lots of boxes for us (3 kids).

    This is a cool model! That top bunk needs to flip up, or be removable. You'd then have a 2 bedroom unit, for guests or an older kid. They HAVE to get away from Schwintek for the living room slide, if not both. I like the cabinet colours. We love walk through bathrooms, too. For the size, and the soundproofing. Grand Design = storage, I love that about them. Another great video, thanks! 🇨🇦

      How can the thru-frame work with the tires under that big slide? Need to be done, I just wondered if they did what they did because of how it’s positioned over the axles.

    Thanks for the video!
    Would love to lose the bedroom exterior door and get a bigger window and space for a larger tv in there. Would also like to get an outside small fridge over a griddle that most campers already own. Otherwise its perfect.

    We're big fans of Grand Design and I like how the bunks are out of the way in the front. I really don't like the stove-top tucked into that small space with no counter prep area next to it. Not only would it make it harder to cook but the wood side panels are going to get ruined with spatters from cooking. Additionally, my XLS 23LDE has a bigger sofa for three in it and it's a couple's model. This being a family model needs a bigger sofa. Seems to me the GD needs to rethink the middle layout for the kitchen and entertainment areas.

    They should have left the dinette on the slide, if you have more than 2 people watching tv it would work for them sitting on the dinette across from the tv. I would have put the long sink where the dinette is, put the Frig and stove on the bunk wall. I think having the frig and stove on the slide is a lot of weight.

    We have a 2800BH. Like ours, this Imagine needs a place for a trash can in the kitchen. If one of those cabinets under the sink could have a removable shelf, it would at least give folks the option. Since this a family focused RV, you’re going to have trash accumulating quickly. Just a thought….
    This is a nice floor plan!

    Great floor plan under 35 feet. I’m considering a Rockwood 2911bs and this is great since it is under 35 feet. If they want to compete with the Rockwood. 2911BS they should find room for a full camp kitchen instead of just the griddle.

    Looks good except TV placement, my 2019 28' bunkhouse openrange TT has the TV directly across from the recliners. We spent months looking for a floorplan that that way but man, every person that comes over and visits enjoys how ours is laid out. One thing to note, we can sit at the u shaped dining area and reclining sofa and watch TV without having to pull the TV out. Seeing this new floorplan, glad we have what we have. Did you check out how they are addressing the plumbing connections?

  • @christinarevels8643
    @christinarevels8643 Před 7 měsíci +1

    It is overall a great layout. However, I hate when they put just the two seat recliner in bunkhouse models. I would even rather lose the pantry area and put a 3 seat recliner on that opposite wall. But the bunk room is well done. Decent size beds and privacy for the kids without going overboard and giving up too much living space.

  • @thathomemademom
    @thathomemademom Před 7 měsíci

    They need tofigure out the doors to the bunk. That valance is gonna block the door from opening.. I take it back for this model it looks like they figured it out on this model.
    I have a 21BH and the cabinets by the Murphy … you can’t open all the way. Accessing a deep cabinet where the door opens 60 degrees is so dumb.
    I also wish they made drawers and such a little bigger. We have lots of storage spaces with at least 4” of dead space.
    I can think of at least 3 solutions…
    Cool concept.
    I need to get around to posting what I’d change in ours.
    I wish there were more options for only needing sleep 2 adults and 1 kid.

  • @ispyred100
    @ispyred100 Před 7 měsíci

    I don’t understand why they didn’t put the sink where the pantry is seems like they cut down on a lot of plumbing lines if they did that. If you look at the kitchen living area in the reflection 298BH fifth wheel you can see what I mean - put the dinette and fridge in the slide, sofa where the sink is now etc…

    Still no Azdel is ridiculous for a rig like that. I had a 2019 2500RL and my buddy has a 2400 RB and both of them have de-laminated and Grand design said sorry about your luck. Never again will I buy a Grand Design!!! The bad part is I told my friend to buy it. Very dissatisfied with that company.

    • @WanderingWeekends
      @WanderingWeekends  Před 7 měsíci

      I hate you’ve had a bad experience but I’d like to chime in on this. There are a few advantages to Azdel but… 1. Azdel delaminates as well. It’s entirely possible your unit would have delaminated even if you had Azdel. 2. Most water issues come from the roof and nearly every manufacturer uses wood for roof construction. 3. Water doesn’t care about Azdel… it only cares about gravity. Nearly every manufacturer uses wood for flooring. The Azdel can simply be a conduit for the water straight to the floor.
      Knowing all of this I’m not sure Azdel is the answer for most any water problem. Maybe it solves some here or there but is it worth the extra cost? It’s a great subject for discussion.

    • @jeffgilde3250
      @jeffgilde3250 Před 7 měsíci +1

      There was no water intrusion from the roof or anywhere else I gave it a thorough check. Also watching you for years I had already used the eternabond seal over all lap sealant from almost new. I checked his as well and nothing. It looks like the glue just gave out. Azdel is a much better product than wood that’s the reason manufacturers have gone to it. Grand Design has stayed with the less expensive way and that’s the reason. I got rid of my problem and bought an Airstream. No more de-laminating for me. I think my friend after talking to Grand Design is getting rid of his too for another product with Azdel. I know you are a “Grand Design” ambassador but look at reality. Winnebago has changed that company for the cheaper and inferior product.
