  • The MET Trenta 3K Carbon Road Helmet is probably the perfect balance between Fast, Safe, Lightweight and Cool (ventilation not trendy :-)).

Lol I use the Met Crossover, with all the stuff on it. I have to be honest that I have it with me, but I don't always put it on. I mean...when I need to have one on I do, like on the tracks and such. And in some occasions it makes you simply feel safer. So in heavy traffic. More and more I start learning to wear the thing. And I liked the METs versions since well...colors and style, and they seem sane enough. With a light in the back. I liked them. And they feel and fit ok.

With people trying to sell you helmets, I often feel like I would be better of without their help. I don't know why, but it seems that they simply sit there, just like the helmets. Helmets are a sensitive thing though, it has to do with taste...I guess, first if they are safe, than the taste comes in...MET helmets look better in a way. I like them.

Anecdotally I heard the 3K carbon model is palpably narrower across the width versus the non carbon one.
    Did you try both?

Hi there - yes I did try them both and at the time didn't notice any difference. Unfortunately I only have the carbon now so I can't do any precise measurements. Sorry I can't give you a difinitive answer.

That's always going to be a matter of personal opinion 🤣 - however, I like the look of this helmet. I think it sits well with the shape of my head.

what do you make of the same helmet on ali express for $20??

    • @RealLifeReviews

In short, without actually having one in my hands I'd say it was too good to be true. I can't see one that actually claims to be carbon, is the correct weight with the correct number of vents or has the safety features (MIPS air, safe T etc.).

Are you willing to take the chance on your life for $20 fake helmet.

My Trenta 3k carbon looks good. Unfortunately the padding deteriorated fairly quickly and came apart. I contacted MET and they said that was normal. Haha! I have helmets 20 years old where the padding is still good.
I will not buy any MET helmets in the future and can not recommend them.
    Btw their customer service sucks!
