- In this video I talk about custom door leafs, custom door handles, window ganging, and the different wall closure options for windows. While I don't mention it explicitly, everything I mention about windows pertains to doors as well. I only scratched the surface of windows and doors, but hopefully the video teaches you something new and helps you explore further.

All the models in this video were created using the Shoegnome Open Template and the Shoegnome Work Environment for Archicad 25. Links below:

As always the template and work environment are free; a good Archicad template (and work environment) is too important to horde. If you want to click the PayPal button on the template or work environment pages to support my endeavors and encourage future development, that's wonderful. Whenever people do that, it makes my day.

Glad you liked it.
THANKS!
You're welcome!!
Great video and good pace! Is the option to choose individual handles inside/outside standard US library?
It is.
👏👏👏👍😀

What tool did yo use to add the frosted glass?
I just changed the Surface material of the glass in the window/door settings.
@@Shoegnome Thanks for the quick reply! I thought the moon shape was just a cutout (no surface). I must be missing something.
Oh sorry. In the custom door leaf, the frosted glass of the moon shape is just a slab with the BMat/surface set to frosted glass.
At minute 3:57 you "eyedropper" that in - do you have a video that describes that process?
This is an ancient blog post and video, but the basics are still the same: www.shoegnome.com/2014/10/22/parameter-transfer-archicad/
Why is archicad not as popular as revit ?

Looks good but is a very confusing explanation. You are showing things way too fast and not explaining what tool you are using to create all these shapes.
Let me know if there's anything in the video you want more explanation on.
@@Shoegnome it's good. I had to watch it a few times before I understood how it works for a custom garage door. It would be very nice if you could do a video on custom windows and doors. Detailed one. I use Cad Image. That's much easier but would like to learn how to use actual Archicad tools to do windows and doors. Also, how do you label your windows and doors for North America? After the builder’s stamp 22 no good labelling.
I have a very old video on custom windows and doors, but a new one is a good idea. For labels, I use the out of the box marker for floor plans and a simple label for elevations.
@@Shoegnome if you could show the whole process that would be golden.
I'll add it to my to do list.
