- Design Options in Archicad 27 are awesome. They are arguably the most important addition to Archicad since Building Materials were introduced back in 2013 with the release of Archicad 17. In the first of my four part series on Design Options, I'll cover the basics plus some other items.

Extremely useful video. Looking forward to the follow up vids as well. This is a major improvement to Archicad and will work perfectly with my workflow. No more having to copy the entire model 500 feet apart to create various options.

@@Shoegnome do you knowing any issues of importing a v26 model into 27 and then using the design options?
@markrenz9381 I'm literally doing that right now! In fact I've almost exclusively worked on design options with projects migrated from 26 to 27. No issues other than needed to set them up from scratch.

when Generate An Elevation its keep generate the View Every Time I open it even if there is nothing update
can you help me
You can set elevations, sections, and interior elevations to Manual rebuild Model. Similarly you can set any placed view on a Layout to manual instead of automatic update.
In general you want to avoid this though. If the model is slow to rebuild when you open a view, check to see if there's some model elements slowing things down (complex geometry, excessive SEOs, bad objects).
Often it's worth saving a copy of the file, deleting elements, and figuring out if it's just one or two bad items. It usually is.
