The tapered side (with the number) goes up, the more broad size goes up against the cuticle. That side is thinner, and it looks like you had some on upside down, that's probably why you experienced the cracking.
I recommend not putting the glue on both your nails and the fake nail because they squirt out and you don’t want your hand to be sticky. Also if you do put it on both and you see the glue come out you can use your alcohol pad to wipe it before it dries. To keep your nails on for longer it’s all about the way you prep your nail. You should use that wood stick to push back you cuticles and use the nail file to take the shine away from your natural nail and on your fake nail. Btw awesome vid and hope you use this technique or recommendation in your following videos.
I use glue on nails a lot. My first tries were like yours but it didn't take long to improve. I recommend you do your dominant hand first. That way your more clumsy hand doesn't have the added problem of nails that you aren't used to. Also, if you lightly buff the shine off your natural nails before the alcohol wipe you will have much better adhesion. Press harder or lighter to find the sweet spot for you. If you have ridged nails this type won't work because there is less area in direct contact with the fake nail and therefore the glue. Try the dip manicure sometime. I really like them.
@rondawiebe1505 Thank you so much for the tips! ❤️
So glad I wasn't the only one who has a hard time pressing the nails on. I have flat nail beds too, so it takes extra effort 😂
Very helpful! Press-on is the right choice for me 💅
❤️
I love watching you two! I always wished I had a sister that was also my best friend. I love your content!
@ritaj5864 Thank you so much!! We are so glad you are part of our sisterhood!!! ❤️
This was hilarious! Thank you!😂😂😂😂
Y’all are hilarious 😆 makes me miss my sister❤
So watching I notice you guys just put the nails on flat. The way to do it is at an angle. You put the end closest to the cuticle then lay it flat.
Love these nails you just need to know how to apply them. They last me two weeks
How durable are the impress nails you guys mentioned.
Oh no! I think on the nude nails, some of them are on backwards, and that’s causing gaps.
Oh, oops!!! These were a challenge, so say the least. LOL
Thanks for the demo, ladies! You both confirmed that these aren’t for me. Yeah, I’m with you. The glue always scares me🤣🤣
😂❤️
Thanks for the review. From your experience, I can see they are not for me. I have trouble using scotch tape rapping around my fingers when using!😂
😂❤️
I was indeed screaming at the screen as you said haha. THERE IS A LEARNING CURVE! At the point I heard 'This is the first time we put them on', I knew it would be a fail and not a good idea frankly. NOT a fair assessment or review of these press-on nails. They are the grtest thing sice sliced bread!
Hi! We're glad you like them. We tested these to see how easy they are to use right out of the package. We did not find them easy to use for non-experienced, first time users. So, in that respect, it is a fair assessment. We have used other "press-on" nails that were simple to use, first time, right out of the package. Thanks for the comment!
It looks like a lot of the nails are upside down which probably added to the difficulty with application and gaps.
Hi! Oh they probably were! We found these very difficult to use and difficult to determine which end was up! LOLOL Thanks for the comment!
What are your favorite press on nails that you found to be the best quality?
I think your nails are upside down for the solid set.
Whoops! Yeah, we were on the struggle bus with these!
Oh boy. Total fail. Thanks for taking one for the team! lol
😂❤️
