- Frida is a Scandinavian vocalist best known as a member of the massively successful Swedish pop outfit ABBA. With her warm mezzo-soprano vocal range and striking auburn hair, Frida often worked in beautiful counterpoint to her blonde soprano ABBA bandmate Agnetha Faltskog.
In the aftermath of ABBA's demise, with her legendary status as a member of ABBA firmly intact, Frida remains an influential presence on the international music scene.

She was NOT an orphan. She was born in Norway and raised by her grandmother in Sweden after her Norwegian mother died. And she was NOT a Lebensborn child. The Lebensborn program was confined to children born from Aryan women who had been in relationships with SS members. (Her father was NOT a member of the SS. He was a Sergeant in the Wehrmacht (common soldiers of the regular army). The Lebensborn program excluded children born from unions between common soldiers and foreign women, because there was no proof of 'racial purity' on both sides. Frida grew up believing her father was killed when his unit was transferred back to Germany. She didn't meet her father until 1977 when it was discovered he was still alive.
@@moonbeam2062 first of all she was orphaned before 2 years old. Orphans have no parents. Yes her grandmother took care of her but she had no parents. Her father was a soldier for Nazi Germany. All soldiers for Germany were Nazis. They fought for Hitler and his diluded ideas like it or not.sort of like Russians now. Heinrich Himmler told the soldiers who occupied Norway to make as many arayian babies as possible. They were as good as lebensborn and Germans accepted them as so often taking them to Germany to be adopted by "good" Nazi families. I would be willing to bet Frida was not his only Norwegian child. Her father fled Norway when Germany list the war. Fridas family tried to find him but never could. They thought he was on his ship when it was sunk going back but it was discovered when she was an adult he was alive the whole time

Frida was not an orphan. Her father only died when Frida was 64 years old.

She was never an orphan.
In many countries, the definition of an 'orphan' is a infant who does not have any surviving parent to care for them. Her mother died when Anni-Frid was still a toddler and she was raised believing her father had died in WW2 too.

@@wildcelt88 Yes, that's correct but he was not a part of her life, growing up. It's an amazing story. If she hadn't been in a famous Pop group and her details printed in a German magazine, they probably would never have known the other existed.
