Strega Vinyl Cassette (FX Patch)

- This is a patch I worked on today while on a brief hiatus waiting for instruments/utilities to arrive this week.
This patch is to create a reverberant tape warble with some crackling sounds and hissing fuzz when fed external audio.
CV Follower to agitation circuit input, activation input, and absorb input.
Agitation Shape output to decay input, time circuit input, flutter input (Above the large time knob).
Adjust filter cutoff to add more fuzz and hiss, reduce blend to hear the Strega activation circuit crackles (must be pitched as low as possible).
The slow sound movement is an introspective journey, an opportunity to explore the depths of one's soul. It is a moment of rest and reflection, an oasis of peace in a frenetic and chaotic world. Amazing!!!
I think this patch might be one of my favorites that I've made. I really enjoy the ambiance it provides, and the flexibility for lo-fi sound design. I am glad you enjoyed it. I really love my Strega synths.
@@AbyssalPantheon Yours is an incredible passion!!!
Very good; Terra and Strega, a potent combo in your hands. ❤
Hey Greg!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I am working on strega patches for a bit this week. Cables arrive today, patch bay 2 comes tomorrow, and then it's just waiting for the Cosmos (end of the week I hope). I'm hoping to be back to soundscaping this weekend with a more streamlined rig :)
the very fact that this evokes so much in my mind says a lot, and I know artists express what influences them in different ways, ......... it seems like you are seamlessly fusing together memories through association, which don't necessarily connect in obvious or logical ways....
Hey Roger!
I have been thinking about this comment since you left it, and I'd love to have some clarity on your comment regarding the fusing memories through association. I deleted my initial comment as I think I misunderstood what you wanted to get across
I wanted the patch to feel a bit fuzzy and nostalgic, and maybe a little melancholy.
I'm wondering if that is what you were referring to, and perhaps the patch/audio touched on different memories of yours and brought them together in the same line of thought?
Hopefully, I am on the right track now with your comment. I just want to make sure that I understand your thoughts on it :)
Beautiful sound!! Dig the split screen🖤
Glad you liked it!
One day I will hook up multiple cameras so I can have a live split screen, but I figured this was a good way to share the patch by having the knob positions and patch points showed. I am going to refine this one some more, as it's pretty close to being a broken cassette/dusty cables/vinyl crackle patch. I really dig the way this patch turned out, if you give it a go on your system, let me know if you like it!
Another interesting stuff! Kudos! Subbed! 👍
Thanks so much! I really enjoy your work as well and can't wait to see more of your upcoming releases!
@@AbyssalPantheon thank you very much, you are very kind! 🙏
Sounds great…what‘s better as a strega? Two stregas! Very nice patch idea👌! Greetings mate🖖👽
Hey Somnambule!
I have been rocking 2 Strega's for a very long time haha. I use them as a stereo strega and cross patch a lot. Did you know that you can body patch across the Strega and Enner (or any other body patching synth)? I have found some incredible sounds experimenting across devices.
If you try this patch out, let me know what you think. I thought it added a pretty warm atmosphere for colder sounds.
Thanks for watching!
@@AbyssalPantheon don‘t no more buddy patch synths except the soma devices and a module by Instruo the scion. You can connect it to plants, stones and bodies of all living things;-) I have a scion and it‘s great for generative music….🖖☺️
@Somnambule that sounds incredible!
