Polaris is relatively easy to solve. First you can solve it like a skewb but with the orientation of the corners being inconsequential, and then when you solve for edges, you use a series of rotate-moveouttheway-rotate or moveouttheway-rotate-lineup-rotate to put the edges to the correct corner. If you are starting with white face, you do the edges of all 4 white corners, and then when you do the yellow side you either do a series of edge swaps between YRG and YBO or YGO and YBR to get the 5th and 6th corner and then you finish doing the same thing with the last 2 corners. It is easy and intuitive.
Never got the maple leaf but i want to get it along with a lime. One thing i am struggling with is the skewb remix 3. I did solve it like 3 times but i had to solve it completely intuitively with no affirmative algorythims to solve for parities involving the last 3 or last 6 face pieces. I don't consider myself having mastered a puzzle unless i know how to solve for all scenarios.

This might be a spoiler, but the Polaris Cube is solved exactly backwards from what is in the video.
First you solve the Skewb part, then the smaller edge pieces.

Watch out for edges of the Polaris coming loose and falling out while turning. Maple leaf reminds me of a marriage between the Qiyi Chinese Coin cube and a skewb. Leaves on the maple leaf are not smooth turning but playable. Both will turn better with some lube.
