- Fall Crappie Fishing is a ton of fun. In this video we are fishing on the Chippewa Flowage in Wisconsin and we are discussing fall crappie locations and presentations. I talk about my favorite crappie lure, the Kalins crappie scrub and how I like to fish it. During the fall crappies group up and become very predictable. Enjoy some fall crappie fishing this season!

I have never used a fish finder, but will be looking for one over winter. I'm amazed at how you guys on youtube find fish so easily. As for fish tacos, I've never had one.

Loved crappie fishing on the Chip, found Moore’s Bay was always my hot spot in fall. Shelbys right Crappies make delicious fish tacos. God Bless fishing power couple.

I fish with my dog too. He is a 89lb Yellow Lab and is full of energy. Nothin like watching that bobber start swimming away then sink like a sack of cement. Liked n scribed. DOGS RULE!

Great video. I appreciate the presentation tips and info on finding Crappie. My wife and I like to take our dog with us when we go fishing, so its fun to see Shelby and Surley in the video. Gonna have to try out those fish tacos!

We fished Moore’s Bay last week for five days and all the fish we caught were in 9-12 ft water. Slip bobbers with a small jig or a small glow VMC treble and a crappie minnow. Bite was really light but we did ok.

I've done the slip bobbers before, haven't tried just the jig with grub on it, but have had a FIELD DAY with small JERKBAITS. Love Fall fishing for Crappies with a jerk bait. Have loaded the live wells a couple of times. Best so far is a 15.5" Black Crappie which I released.

Thanks for the jigging and fall tactics. That said I struggle with casting and retrieving and keeping the jig at a constant depth when the fish are off the bottom. Have any tips?

Good stuff Tom& Shelby. Around Pgh we're still in 20 ft. Have to figure out when they finally move to deeper water. Just going to rely on my Garmin 4.(I'm in a kayak). Can see some starting to stack in deeper waters. Think I was erroneously told crappies will move more to where they're at now! Any thoughts?

i run my autochart all the time. Only shut it off after fishing the area 5 or 6 times and i know i have it 100% covered.

I’ve noticed that yankee black crappies are smaller than southern black crappies, and also that they have a yellow tint to them. Anybody else notice this? It’s almost like it’s a slightly different species of crappie.
