A very nicely made opening. I've just bought an Ikamper 3.0, a similar set to yours.

The fact you live in harry potters house is so cool

I just fitted mine. The comination of a hard stainless steel bolt against a metal sliding insert gave me a world lf problems and I managed to round off two of them. The omission of any washers was also surprising. The tent its self I have yet to test but the fixings etc need improvement. There should be a way to fix the tent to Thule Evo Wing bars using the channel which Thule have designed into the bars.

agreed, the fixings are far from ideal and like you say I'm sure there is a better way they could be engineered. Plus as it stands there is no security with the fixings so someone could easily unbolt and remove. I've seen some people try using some security fixings but none look that secure in my opinion.

Nothing on a roof rack is secure especially with ally bars which themselves can be cut.

Thanks for this video. Just received mine. Can I check if the ladder/fixings etc were within the folded tentbox when you got it, or in a separate box? I'm hoping they're inside and I'll find them when I unfold the tent. My living room is too small to open it up indoors and I just wanted to check before I take it outdoors!

Hi, yes they should all be tucked inside the folded tentbox.

Spied a rather tasty Santa Cruz in the background! Are you going to be using the tent for bike getaways? If so have you thought of a way to also carry the bike on the car?

thanks, yes I have installed a rail mounting system from BlokPod (www.blokpod.co.uk/product-category/bike-fork-mount-rails/) in the bed of the pickup

Whats it like for wind noise?

    • @whats_stewie_up_to5558

The side pop out do tend to flap around quite a bit with the wind, although I wouldn't say it was necessarily any worse than a normal tent. Ear plugs a must though if you're a light sleeper!

Overall yes very happy with it. The quality of the construction and materials is very good. I'd definitely recommend.

The worst thing about the Tentbox Lite cover (and on our Lite 2.0 cover) is the Tenbox logo itself - I can't stand the design, and it sticks out like a sore thumb. It put me off the brand until my wife overruled me and went ahead with the purchase.
