I am doing a Masters Degree in Statistics in Germany and I think this degree is soooo underrated. Some people didn't even know you could study Statistics as a Major.

I don't really thinks it's underrated. I think most people are afraid of Maths and statistics involves heavy maths so people have to runaway

This is dope, stats has been a big thing in the NFL. They’re hiring a lot more data analysts to give them the highest % to win a game. When to go for it on 4th, when it’s most effective to pass, to run, etc. it’s pretty crazy.

    • @ChristianGardner

Absolutely so cool, and data scientists to predict outcomes based on changes and fitting models to simulate performance/fatigue 😳

Hey there, i am personally doing a double major in psychology and statistics with the aim of in the end doing a masters in industrial organizational psychology. Do you think thats a viable path? Or is it too much statistics? Both degress have a bunch of atats after all...

@@ChristianGardnerhey, just wanted to ask, would you say that me being introverted and over all disliking doing presentations and research would limit my career prospects with a statistics degree?
Wondering if I should combine stats, with economics or finance, instead of psychology, which does seem mostly useless, not likely to be leveraged.
Chatgpt tries to tell me it can be used in user experience, HR behaviorial analysy, but i doubt it.
Psychology degree is a must for industrial organisational psychology, but that field doesn't seem introvert friendly in Israel.
Tl;DR: is psychology gonna help me with job search in any way, considering my interests, or should I switch it to something along the lines of Econ/business?
Sry if the comment is too long, I am just getting confused on my path lol.

    • @ChristianGardner

@@yuval1168 sounds like two unrelated questions so 1. I don’t think you’d have any problem, while presenting Atleast to your manager and such is going to be a requirement I’m sure.. presenting in front of larger crowds often wouldn’t be required 2. It really depends on what you want to do… if you really want to do HR behavioral analysis Psych is by no means a bad option .. stats and psych is a good segue to advanced psych studies in the future.. if it were me, I’d be choosing whatever gave me the most options and future prospects.
(Also just an FYI I would personally be looking at careers directly tied to a companies revenue, they are less likely to be let go. Just saying 😁)
