In this episode of Because It's Hard I learn how to shuffle poker chips. This trick was actually so much harder than I expected it to be, taking over 3 hours to learn.
    How To Shuffle Poker Chips:
    1. Set two stacks of chips next to each other, start with just 3 chips in each stack in the beginning.
    2. Your thumb and pointer finger surround one stack while your middle, ring, and pinky fingers surround the other stack.
    3. Using your ring finger lift up that stack just over the first chip in the other stack.
    4. Slowly squeeze stacks together letting chips fall into place. Starting very slow and methodical.
    5. Work the chips into position using your ring finger to lift the chips.
    6. Once all chips are in position squeeze the stacks together one last time to make the new stack neat and tidy.

My recommendation would be that you get the feeling for the chips and start by dividing your chips into even sets by sensing the feel, weight and sound of the chips. Next focus on index and middle finger as a group. Middle, ring and pinky as another group. Then learning to work both groups independently of one another. Your ring and thumb and pinky should be able to lift the back stack, without moving the middle finger so much.
