You mention the road builder at the end of the video and I agree. @12:30 you could have settled 4 9 2, cutting their road and capping them at 14, allowing you to lock road if you act quickly. Road and army is hard to beat. It also leaves you the strong 9 3 11 settle on the connect. If they branch out to steal the settle spot it guarantees road for you because they're capped at 13. I like your positive vibes. Keep it going. Regarding placements, 3810 is a mistake imo. The wood is only useful when you have decent brick to pair with it. 4911 would have been my pick. It will take a while to get on 642 but when you do, you have double OWS and will out dev your opponent.

True, but then his opponent can prioritize a triple road plow which he would get a decent amount of the time.
His placements were fine. Everything that came after was hard to watch. Especially the turn at 12:05.

I think there might be some merit to waiting a couple more turns to settle 8 10. Gets you moving upwards way more quickly in the long run.
