We will start off near the TESS Orbital Observatory, which enabled us to take a slightly deeper peek into the fascinating abyss of the cosmos. With its help we will visit the environs of the dim red dwarf TOI 700 to make acquaintance of its wonderful planets potentially fit for life.
After that we will go to the Teegarden’s Star to observe the most Earth-like planet of all those discovered by now. Next in line is the bizarre world of Gliese 1214 b, which falls into the exceptionally rare category of ocean planets.
Then we will reach two representatives of the most furtive and mysterious celestial objects - rogue planets. Deprived of a parent star’s warmth, they roam the depths of space for billions of years, avoiding anyone’s curious glance. After these dark and cold worlds we will see a selection of various space objects which have one thing in common - their incredibly lethal properties. Extreme temperatures, harmful radiation and a harsh environment - with all these combined, these planets’ are truly horrifying.

it’s insane that i can watch this for free on youtube. you seriously deserve to get picked up by BBC or another company that makes documentaries!
I feel like a big professional production company would ruin Kosmos content in exchange for access to "quality production equipment" and "wide marketability"
@@HIPPYGOATWITHCHEESE SEA is really good too, melodysheep also
Please no! I want this here…
@@pacotaco1246 That’s true! I just want them (Kosmos) to have financial success and do well on youtube, so maybe investors or something? You’re right about companies ruining stuff though.
Correct this the best channel out there
Don’t y’all think it’s crazy?!?! That we are literally on a planet in space! And theirs billions more. It’s just mind blowing to me.
Check out a channel called spacerip it's mind blowing. Mostly about quantum physics and string theory but great visuals and all beginners can understand it. I'm addicted you would love it if u like this.
As I lay here trying to ease my mind before I fall asleep. I’m imagining how amazing it would be to travel to an Avatar-like planet. And wish it was actually possible to just travel thru space in the blink of an eye. How incredibly euphoric it would feel to do it….
I hope that when I die my soul is able to infinitely travel the universe
brother take some shrooms 😳
@smacksrus2330 agree. I've seen it myself. We are and we will continue to.
Sounds like you need to try DMT lol
So true. I've done alot of drugs to try and get that feeling. But nothing gets me there 😂
These are unquestionably the best kinds of videos on yt, no one will change my mind
You should check out SEA, if you're into space facts. There are few who can match him, when considering quality content creation ;)
@@heidetermeg427 @Hei Det Er Meg wayyyy ahead of ya, man! 😅 I'm glad to SEA he's finally getting the level of recognition he deserves (I promise no more terrible puns, too)!
SEA, Kosmo, PBS Space Time, and Cool Worlds are the absolute BEST channels on here, with honorable mention going to Kyle Hill and ReYOUniverse, too.
I only exclude the last two from The Big Four because Kyle Hill has a very wide & diverse focus on his videos & ReYOUniverse seems to deal quite a lot in hypothetical situations (i.e. what if this happened, etc.).
That's not to suggest at ALL that they both don't have a great deal of content on par or superior to the rest, they just don't have quite a tight enough focus on astrophysics like the others do, so while that's the one reason I personally would put them towards the end of my recommendations, I would still absolutely nonetheless recommend them without a second thought!
Don't forget about Anton Petrov. He's probably one of the best with keeping up with current events and using critical thinking and discernment when it comes to new theories and discoveries
So nice that the global elite on this planet have decided to send humanity on a trajectory to extinction. No human will ever get to explore any of these awesome exoplanets. EVER.
I recently bought my first house and played all your videos while I painted the rooms and did some minor repair over the course of two months before fully moving in. Your videos are the best and are now forever part of my memory of my new home. I was born and raised in Hawaii but moved away. This video is so fitting for me to finally have made a comment with a Hawaiian name given to the super cluster. Thank you.
Hmmm, saw this comment posted elsewhere...
The next 15 years are going to be amazing with the James Webb telescope.
I'm convinced that when we pass on from this planet, we will be birthed into a life form on a new planet, somewhere in the vast universe.
Yes, I agree. And probably because of a force we don’t understand yet we may be reborn again on this planet the same way on other planets
@@marvinpolanco6010 I don't think we will ever be incarnated into another living being on this planet again.
that would be amazing
It's funny what people believe as an alternative to dealing with reality
@@garyk1334Can’t argue with that, I’m sure theres one or two people who actually believe in Jedi or Pastafarianism. I prefer cosmology, astrology and dare I say horoscopes over religion any second of any day though. Reality sucks, its not easy dealing with it, let people have their things as long as they aren’t forcing it on others or leads to harm. I like to believe myself to be grounded in logic and don’t actually believe much of anything beyond the fun thought of it, but entertain the thought living past and future lives in our current reality, akin to living through ancestors via a shared conscious…just you’re you now but have the possibility of perhaps via a brain injury remembering 1000 years earlier and personally having to re-adapt.
Shoutout to the cameraman risking his life to show us these exoplanets and their discoveries.
Were the first 20,000 times this comment was posted just not enough for you?
Thanks for the shout-out 🤗.. it was s bit difficult. 😅
To whoever is watching this video our sun is not yellow... its white.
Well my sun is black
@@fenneko212 you are killin' me... 666
The sun was much more yellow when I was a kid, in the 80's. Now, it is much more white!
@@haydenwhite8255that’s not how that works buddy. 30-40 years isn’t enough time to the sun for such a drastic change to be seen by you.
@@tgj42495First of all, buddy, I NEVER said anything about any change in our sun! Also, can you direct me to some peer reviewed articles that can verify your claims of such timelines with the Sun, buddy?
BTW, such a visual distinction would more than likely, very necessarily have some cause with the Earth's atmosphere, not the Sun, right buddy?
Can you stop the juvenile insults, attempting to demean others to boost your own ego?
Your channel is something very very special. Top 3 on CZcams for this type of programming in my opinion. It boggles my mind almost as much as the information you provide in the shows, how you only have half a million subscriber’s. I feel like I’m getting in early on a community with the potential to reach 10 million subscribers or more. Just fantastic ground breaking work you’re doing here my friend. I’m honored to be a part of it. I will be making donations to the channel going forward. Thank you for what you’re doing from Canada.
🙏💫🇨🇦🍻
It serves the fringe where the most peculiar proposals are put forth.
In today's believe anything or nothing atmosphere it fits in quite well. Kinda like a History/Discovery Channel II. Channels from universities have current research with lectures from top astronomers. Quite enlightening.
among the top 3 my first pick is anton, followed by this channel kosmo and finally astum
I tend to put on Kosmo videos as a party trick - and it has a 100% success rate. You might think space is boring, but wait till the mention of a "black heul" and watch your friends' reaction.
That being said, his accent is somewhat of a guilty pleasure to me. Even to the point of overshadowing the actual content itself lol
Hi, this documentary is wonderful. As astronomy lover I'm fascinating by exo planets and by their evolution. I believe that life on Earth is not alone in our Galaxy, it just exists in another form...
At that point, we get to the super interesting question: what separates life from non-living matter? At a basic level, nothing really; life is just a series of very interesting chemical reactions. OFC, there are criteria for considering something alive, but even those aren't perfect.
@@juniperrodley9843 Incorrect. I suggest some graduate level courses in biology. Good grief.
@@brianhammer5107 What is the fundamental physical separation between what is and isn't alive? It's one of many categorizations we've made up to understand things better, and it does its job there.
@@juniperrodley9843 pure gibberish
@@brianhammer5107 Okay, be like that if you will lmao
SOMEBODY hates questioning the objectivity of their own assumptions
Becoming more and more of a fan of this channel with every video. Keep up the great content!
Thank you. I know how much work it takes to record and edit a video this big.
they literally have to fly out of our solar system and film these planets up close. incredible work
@@mcbleh2578 Those are artist conceptions. No one knows what any exoplanets look like so it's a guess. Maybe the JWST will help with that but it will still be a lot of guesswork by the artist.

I learn a lot in my sleep listening to this
Im glad its at least a hour long video right before the weekend. I been waiting all week for a new space vid. I need to see something new every week.
The David Attenborough of Space and Science, BBC, CBC should also be picking Youu up as well !
My obsession with space is complete between kosmo and melodysheep xo
Love this channel and the amazing possibilities it brings to light
This video is such an impressive and enjoyable watch!
Absolutely loving your content! One thing I would like though is if they're not originally made, could we get the scores used in your videos? Some of these I would love to listen to on the daily
I'd like to Personally Thank You for helping me sleep Sir. You fill me with knowledge untill I fall asleep 😁❤️❤️❤️. If anything I'd ask to tune the music down a bit just a bit so I can hear you talk. Thank you again Sir.
Another member of the sleep community here. I agree as well, turn down music 10% to hear dude talk better would be nice. Sometimes the music wakes up back up
Same I love falling asleep to this. I've actually woken up knowing things I don't remember watching from this lol
I agree music gets a bit annoying sometimes
mate, that's a great videos to help me fall asleep :) no sarcasm , bless you!
Wow this is amazing😍 really love this "Exoplanet" category
Thank you for this❤ i always learn a lot of your videos
Sometimes I think I'm living on a rogue planet when I see the global madness unfold. Kosmo comes in peace ☮️
👍🏻 wish we were super man😁
Actually,.. this planet is a jewel of diverse life in the middle of *trillions* of square miles of a deadly and barren vacuum, with trillions upon trillions of dead space without even a molecule of matter ..,much less a single rock.
VALUE YOUR LIFE
as unique and precious.
This "spaceman" fantasy, is just that,..fantasy..
😅😂🤣😅😂🤣😅😂🤣😅😂🤣
@@alfrede.newman6626 I do value my life but it's the people in power who don't value ours.
Great work! Thanks for your efforts :)
i always watched and enjoyed every video u post, I have been waiting for this, thanks, make another one please
Kudos to the cameraman who went all the way out light years away to record these planets !
😆😆😆👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love your videos! Keep up the good work!!
Love this channel, incredible free content, always amazing
Been with kosmo since day one and other documentaries make me fall asleep, yet when I watch kosmo, I have to stay awake to admire the beauty and effort they have put into this work! I have learnt so much with kosmo then any other! I couldn't be anymore proud of the work you provide for each and every single one of us
The best
This is freaking amazing stuff. Big budget National TV level.
Well done to Cosmo for all their awesome content ,keep up the good work
I have never heard of these planets. Thanks for the information!Love Kosmo
If only we appreciated this planet as well as we should.
.. or.. our life.
Unique and precious for trillions of square kilometers all around.
The distance from the sun to earth is 90 million miles.
A million seconds .. 12 days
A billion ,.. 30 years.
A trillion,.. 30 thousand years.
The nearest neighboring sun is 4 light years away.
If only you realized you're indoctrinated
This is amazing. Thank you
Great video @teamkosmo, thank you!
Keep up the good work bro 👍👍👍
Always happy to see your uploads.
Thank you for this being freeeeee. Your a hero.
I want to go to other exoplanets an be one of the first one to walk on other exotic planets
It’s interesting to note that there are some discrepancies in classification of wandering space planets, rouge, planemo, or not quite a brown dwarf. These objects potentially could yield the mother load of discovery just as Teagarden, Gliese, or Trappist exoplanets prove to be awesomely promising for viable habitable biome’s. The microbes most likely aren’t the only forms of extraterrestrial life somewhere out there and in all actuality it’s only a matter of time until a point in space exploration opens up something truly beneficial to humanity, maybe not soon or maybe not later but scientific possibilities are paramount to a self aware, sentient understanding.
Hooray! New video! Your efforts are appreciated.
Your stuff is amazing and a great bed time listen too! Keep it up!
you should get an award for these videos.
This channel is very fun, thank you .
Brilliant and informative video, every minute is fascinating. Well worth watching 💯.
Just before sleeping time a new Kosmo video. 🥰

This channel is awesome 👍 top quality documentarys .
Amazing channel! The best I have seen. Thanks for the content
Mind blowing & lucid explanation...just like a top University professor.☺️
Absolutely brilliant work.
There is something unique in this channel, beautiful work
Prefect. ty. no music. just knowledge.
Absolutely mesmerizing! This video takes us on a captivating tour of exoplanets, showcasing their uniqueness and sheer variety. From ocean worlds to scorching hot planets, each one tells a story of its own. The visuals paired with insightful narration make for an engaging exploration of the cosmos. Well done!
Just got a new tv, def gonna watch this next
Great work!
Thank You for sharing
I imagine living on a planet with a red dwarf would be, absolutally visually stunning at all times. Constant twighlight orange skies. It is flwwting in Earth, bit we do know how beautiful it actually is.
I'm not even religious but THANK GOD FOR THIS CHANNEL!!!!! 🙏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
I love your documentaries thank u for your hard work amazing
One of the top space channels on CZcams
The thing is if red dwarf planets have a slight eccentricity like mercury's or even a large enough moon/moons, its very likely the planet wont be tidally locked and may orbit like mercury rotating 3 times for every 2 transits making it more favorable for life.
I want to go to an ocean planet and live on a very large boat that will never sink .
Titanic II leaves tomorrow. And watch out for Sharks.
still love the video man i listen to stuff like this while i go to sleep so i gain nolage and helps me dream about space and aliens and adventures it's amazing I've met well over 50 species in my dreams since all i watch it like doctor who, supernatural and time travel, space shows and movies so i got a lot of stuff stored in my mind for dreams.
The production value is wild on this.
This is even better than STAR TREK minus alien lifeforms
So cool video to watch! So interesting topic you have revealed. Thank you for your video
One of the best documentaries I've seen on YT
Thanks you for your information. Soon, i will know everything about another habitable planets, and about another worlds.
I absolutely love your videos!
Imagine being stranded on a similar planet like earth and you decide to just try to build a house and lay low in a forested area while finding new things that are edible
I really enjoyed watching every bit of this documentary
Looks like only robots/AI will be able to live the thousands of years to reach another planet -
Excellent video.....keep them coming !
Have been refreshing your channel for so long waiting for an hour long vid 😭😭🖤🖤 now I shall watch it, and... goodnight 😌
I always wonder what the surface of planets that are in the Goldielocks zone look like . I hope we have the technology in my lifetime to find out .
I allegedly helped the Kepler mission by playing a mini game inside of the notably bad space based video game “eve online” AKA, the best spreadsheet simulator around.
Legend has it that the devs didn’t know how to program a game, so they built an os.
Super video, saved to my collection...!!!
Space is so cool. Thank you 🪐
thanks for having the subtitles available in my language!!!!
Thanks!
I believe space travel to other exoplanets wont happen with our physical bodies. I believe it will be more of an avatar thing, where you are only there mentally.
Amazing!
I'm more inclined to believe in the hypothesis that life bearing bodies would be more common in orbits of super giant planets as "Moons" more than individual ones orbiting the Goldilock Zones of Stars.
dang surprised Earth wasn't listed as one of the horrifying planets
There must be scientists raising people, from birth, In different types of environments based on other planets climates, right? That way they can slowly evolve to adapt to their new environments.
Just doing this channel yes 🙌
Very nice video keep up the good work💪💪
The cosmos fascinate me. Such strange objects that our brightest, no pun intended, scientist can explain and comprehend. Nevertheless, I still believe in God, the creator of the universe, the engineer who created the atom. I find the darkest corners of space terrifying.
@kosmo absolutely premiere content! Worth a subscribe for sure
