      Biggest what-if in nba history, him and mcgrady probably anchor a 55 to 60 win team for at least 5 seasons. Don't even get me started on if Carter and Chris Bosh had stayed together in Toronto in the late 2000s. Too bad vince never had that killer instinct, he could've gotten at least one ring like paul pierce.

      Difference is Paul pierce needed to assemble a team to do so… think about that

    Imagine if Rasheed Wallace and Jerry Stackhouse had stayed until they were Seniors. Jamison and Carter would have been Freshmen. That team would have been CRAZY.

      Actually Carter and Jamison came in as Freshman when Stack and Wallace would of been juniors as they only stayed 2 years at Carolina. They left when Carter and Jamison were coming in

    It's weird looking back, because I watched UNC a lot during this era, and presumably because of the system there, Carter didn't stand out that much (Jamison being the star, if anyone). It's probably the same with a lot of players who really flourish individually in the NBA.

    • @nathanielbenford7928
      @nathanielbenford7928 Před 3 lety +9

      Definitely the system, the last time i remember a u.n.c. tar heel as a prolific scorer was hansborough. Most u.n.c. recruits are role players who fit the system and play team-ball.

      @@MitchM240i remember all those seasons. Vince was a star but for those 3 years, Jamison absolutely was the centerpiece of that team. Dean Smith focused on Antwon being the superstar. They were a dynamic duo (honestly the whole team was stacked) but Jamison was the media (and coaches) darling.
