Hey Mike I always think back to those days at Alans. I miss him like crazy...like you said, he treated us like people, like we meant something, where no one else cared a damn about our fate. I owe him in so many ways..

Thank you for giving me the experience of magic, Michael. I enjoyed your presentation and marveled at your skill, which you conceal beautifully. I was hoping for the transposition of the three Aces and Ace of Spades at the end, thinking that that would be incredible, and then caught myself gasp when you pulled it off. It was truly magical.

Yet another superb, outstanding performance Michael; the clarity of what was happening throughout each stage, was perfect. Many thanks for sharing your thoughts and wisdom. Similar to yourself, Alan Alan was one of my heroes. In 1979 (aged 15) I first visited his shop. I will never forget the time that he always gave to me; some 'rough and ready' east London kid but with a passion to learn. Upon purchasing Afterthoughts (with my pocket money saved for weeks) he took the time and effort to ensure that I could perform the Ultra Move; so that I didn't return home with a disappointed purchase. I have written my thoughts about Alan Alan and his shop upon the Genii Forum, if you have the time and want to check them out. Once again, many thanks for sharing this very inspirational broadcast.

Just to good. I have the feeling i know nothing about card magic. your aces appear and disappear wherever they want to who cares whats possible...
I mean i dont't think you would lie and use more than 4 aces but still your perfomance is so good i think what how... :D
I guess i will watch your "small" card routines a lot in the future because they are so beautiful and maybe i can start to follow a little bit in what you do. At the moment this is just pure magic with 52 cards.. I mean i think i must be so simple it's a card it's clearly there and ....... ........ ....... puff ^^ I lose track the instant i cant see them anymore. :D
Just pure magic Michael Vincent and 52 playing cards...

Hello Michael. I hope this finds you well. I’ve just ordered your ”Rhapsodies In Silver And Other Mysteries” DVD. Until it arrives I plan to review the original “Travellers” in Stars of Magic I’ll be very anxious to see the variations that you have put in place in the “Mushin Travellers”.
I think that we both grew up in a very fortunate time. By that I mean the sources for learning magic were limited. The available choices were another person teaching you as you mention in multiple videos that you put up on CZcams and also books. I am a solitary person by nature and learning information from books has always been my preferred method of gaining information. It’s quite refreshing to see another who values books on magic as I do. Thank you for your tuition and your generosity in uploading these videos. I’ve watched them multiple times and I learn something new each time. One of my favorites is I believe, a talk you gave at The Magic Circle regarding all the books that you grew up in magic with. I have probably watched it half a dozen times. I always laugh at the part where you talk about how intimidated you were when you first read “The Complete Works of Derek Dingle” The reason I laugh is because that was exactly my reaction when I looked at that book for the very first time. Wonderful. I am also working on the “requisite skill” you mention when talking about “The Sting” from “Cardshark”. Reminds me of the Hippocrates quote:”The life so short the craft so long to learn”. Stay well.

Bless you Peter. Thank you. I encourage you to study The Travelers from Stars of Magic. I have given this routine plenty of head space over the last 35 years. Once the DVD arrives, have a look at The Mushin Travelers. That routine is now obsolete. You will be ready for my Ultimate Travelers👍🏽

Mr. Vincent, you truly are someone who makes close up card magic, not only breathtaking, but beautiful. I've followed your career online from the States for years, and unlike other magicians, your patter, your smooth handling, it all adds to the effect. I put it above others who may do theirs in silence, and have some amazing effects, because you, you have that personality that is able to engage, talk, ans work all at once. I fancy myself someone who loves and can do some basic close up magic, but I watch you and realize there is ALWAYS more to achieve. Not because you're a MILLION times better, but because you show your love for the magic as well. I still have nervousness for a trick you'd consider basic. But I still watch you, not for your abilities (which I consider the best of any slight of hand/close up artist I've ever seen), but because of your love, your patter, and your immersion into the craft. Thank you for all you do. I hope one day to simply meet you, and thank you. You're someone who has been my inspiration to always try and be better, and more happy with every trick I do.

What a great challenge! The firing squad really brought it home for me. I am a sleight utility move junky but truth be told, routining always takes a back seat and therefore, no signature effect has found it's home in my hands.
This message serves as a challenge to work on sewing these utilities together and produce something I can call, the signature effect!

Your poise, body language, voice tone, attention to perfection is clearly seen even during performing for friends on CZcams. You are my friend a Rare Breed!!! Thanks again michael for sharing stories of your heroes cy endield and Alan Alan. They were very inspirational to you, and I know they would be very proud of you. Oh, I remember Alan Alan being interviewed on the tv magic program called. Heroes of magic. He quoted a line from cy endield which I think is one of the cleverest and true things about the performance of magic, also comedy, acting etc. He said : look inside yourself and put out on display what you feel will be accepted by the audience. Apparently that’s what cy endfield told his actors. That’s stuck in my mind for years since I saw that program years ago. I had it on video, I’ve got it on dvd now , I think. And at the end a masterclass from yourself , your version of aces for conniessers. ( my spelling is terrible) . I’m sure you do a performance of this on your dvd classic magic of Michael Vincent ( I’ll have to go back and look ) Thanks again. Look forward to your next post.

Your stories are priceless, and from such as your perspective and genre, you were my awesomest in that pocket. I am a huge fan, and can’t
