We WISH we PACKED these 5 things for HIKING Mt. Kilimanjaro

Hello! We are Haley and Ryan at HR_Adventures! We are a married couple from Ohio that travels every chance we can.
We recently conquered hiking Mount Kilimanjaro in October and wanted to share what we wish we had packed and what we wete glad we brought .

* We summited in October, 2023.
* Mt. Kilimanjaro is located in Tanzania, Africa.
* It is the tallest free standing mountain in the World!
* 19,341 ft Elevation.
* We chose the Lemosho Route. We hiked about 42 miles in 8 days. This route has the highest success rate.
* The company we chose to go with was Peak Planet. They were absolutely awesome and we do recommend them.
* This was one of the most difficult hikes we have done and learned a lot from our experience.

Peak planet are superb to climb with

Ambien is a big no no at altitude. It depresses breathing and reduces oxygen intake. This works against proper acclimatizing.
Melatonin is fine but no prescription sleep meds.
