THOR BMW M4 MDM Mode DOES IT SUCK ON TRACK?

- So I always track and actually drive my 2018 BMW M4 with traction control fully off because I like to drive the car it was meant to be driven. However it was super hot out and my tires were getting very greasy after about two laps so I figured why not give the MDM mode a try on track. Now I have the Thor Flasher MDM GTS mode programed into the car so its a bit less invasive as the normal US Spec traction control and it lets a bit more rotation happen before cutting the throttle. Well just stare at the light on the dash and you can see how often it goes on. I was actually a bit slower with it on but not by much however this day I wasn't the most confident in the grip and setup of the car due to heat and tire compound. But still a great time ripping around with friends and Thunderhill Raceway East 3 Mile Track. Yeah just lean how to drive with out traction control its much more fun.

I enjoyed it! Really 50/50 on getting Thor. It would solely be for the Euro MDM mode... I’m curious, what tires were you using that were getting “greasy”?
Well it was 100° out and I’d guess the track was like 125°f+ I was using Federal RSRR’s the would fall off after about two laps from the heat.
I do think Thor is worth it but I just never run MDM mode because I think it’s lame. Traction off fully everywhere is how I roll

D Thomas Exactly!!!! That the only way to drive these cars in my opinion this is the only video I've ever filmed with MDM on and it definitely take a lot of the excitement and skill out of the picture.

Not too worried about the pads as I go through the fairly quickly as is on track. This is the one and only time I will ever use MDM mode on track. It’s way to invasive and cuts too much power. It was basically flashing the whole lap lol 😂

What’s ur best time on bypass?
2:05 on garbage RSRR’s and a 105 degree day. I should be able to sub 2 pretty easily with nice weather and some better tires.
What tires were you running ?
275/35R18 R888r front 305/35R18 R888r rear
