please push for bus drivers and truck drivers to have their student loans erased like first responders qualify to have their student loans erased or pay bus drivers for schools and public transit and truck drivers more money like how train conductors get paid well (or so i hear)---PLEASE we work so hard to safely deliver people or even goods. During the pandemic truck drivers carried everything everyone needed. Trucking can never go away everything involves trucking. Please help us

A lot of them have a Starting salary for being a truck driver is $50,000... with how the economy is paying rent, furniture, insurance for your car,food and maybe if you have a car as a single person without kids that's manageable. As a truck driver if I made $70,000 guaranteed or more I wouldn't have a problem paying loans back but as of right now I can only pay $10 a month while my loans are steady accumulating interest. I'm from Chicago -rent for a 1 bedroom apartment in a diverse area is $1000+. Car insurance,car note,routine oil changes,phone bill($80 a month) ,grocery bill ($400 a month), furnishing my apartment, putting money up for a emergency ....$50,000 a year is not enough to live off of when you have to pay a student loan bill off that's for 4 years of college and equals to $60,000.
@@kleindropper I hear there are truck drivers that do make over $70,000 a year but I haven't gotten there yet after three years of work. $50,000 a year with a $60,000 loan bill is very difficult. There's people who work at non for profits who get student loan forgiveness and so do first responders and doctors and a handful of others...when the pandemic happened truck drivers were at the forefront delivering everything everyone needs like pilots do...pilots make over $300,000 a year....
@@kleindropper being a bus driver is not an easy thing. My friends deal with a lot of things when it comes to operating a bus. There's homeless people who try to sleep on the buses,you're literally carrying people all day...that's a huge responsibility like a pilot of a plane...why can't the pay be better. Especially because you can't have DIU convictions on your record as a bus driver or truck driver. That's a very big thing with how many DUI's and wreckless driving offenses are handed out yearly. Pilots, conductors,truck drivers and bus drivers literally carry the most important things and people to different states in the United states...why can't they be paid amongst the best.
@@kleindropper there's a lot of people who got degrees in fields they don't work in because it wasn't what they expected it to be or they weren't happy or they physically couldn't handle the requirements of the job like the hours or the pain in their body standing all day.. they got a degree in something and turned out to being bus drivers or truck drivers ..without bus drivers and truck drivers a lot of things would be on hold and there is a problem filling the truck driver and bus drivers roles..why not just pay better or off people loan forgiveness if we need more people in those roles...
