In this video, you will learn how to perform freestyle kicks in the best way! You will be able to swim fast and efficiently.
In the beginning, we will figure out, what is the main point of performing kicks in swimming. How does it help us to gain high position in the water and how much does it improve our swimming speed. When you are swimming calmly, you can perform only 2 kicks per 2 arm strokes.
Then, I will show you the best swimming drills that will help you to have high position in the water and to keep legs on the surface.
Next, we will take a detailed look at swimming mistakes that many swimmers do. You will understand how to prevent them and your swimming will ease a lot. For triathlon swimmers it is important to set up correct kicking technique. This will allow to swim efficiently to save a lot of energy.
First, we will start practicing freestyle kicking technique on land. This will allow you to feel correct movements. After that, I will show you swimming drill that will help you in setting up correct freestyle kicks. Kicking next to the wall is one of the most useful swimming drill.
Also, you will learn how to kick off and glide correctly. An arrow position will help you to feel the best possible speed you can have. This will increase your overall swimming level.
Moreover, in this tutorial, I will show you essential swimming drills that will make your swimming easy and comfortable.
It is very important that you regularly perform all the drill I have shown you.
Please, let me know in the comments, what is the most important in swimming?

I am an adult beginner and have always wanted to learn the freestyle swim technique. However I have been very frustrated with my inability to learn the flutter kick because i was having no forward motion. I watched your video very carefully and was so excited when your technique worked for me. I am able to propel forwards now. I still cannot turn for a breath but that is my next hurdle :)

Excellent video! My feeling is that technique is most important. The coach's most important job is to teach optimum technique, and the training plan must reinforce that technique. For example, looking back at some of my age-group practice years, I think some of our coaches had us doing too much distance after our form was breaking down, and that can be very counterproductive, especially for young swimmers.

Just a random swimming tip: Do not and I mean do not try to test how long you can hold your breath under water for too long, and make sure to take breaths while swimming pretty often. There a condition anyone can get called shallow after blackout. Though it can happen not just shallow but deep. It’s technically where you stop breathing. And you drown pretty fast (immediately ) Be careful don’t do challenges with other sayin who can hold their breath longer. Stay safe!

I don't do well with coaching that's why I learn almost everything on youtube, however, that's a method of coaching tbh. The technique is also very important because it will make you more energy efficient. Nevertheless, nothing can be achieved without a good training plan that you have provided here. So, I'm gonna choose tge 3rd option.

To me technique is more important because, swimming is a workout in and of itself and, is difficult to learn especially at the beginning. You need coordination and working with your breath. I’m not a strong swimmer but, I did try running in the water all the way through and, what a fantastic workout that one was! No comparison with running on land that’s for sure.
