Andy, what a GREAT video. This is the first time I have ever seen a reviewer give us this level of insight into comparisons between a comparable driving iron, hybrid, iron and wood. Makes me seriously question my bag make up going forward. Well done you average golfer saviour!

Really quite interesting as it backs up what I have found through trial and error. I'm a lot slower but in the g410 I play 7w, 5hy, 6hy and then 8i. That combination gives me good launch, peak height, descent and gapping.

I bought the PXG 7wood and absolutely love it. It carrys 210yards. An absolute phenomenal club and goes really high so bonus for stopping on greens in the summer. Then straight into 4iron after that 195.
    I then have a 17° hybrid turned to 18 then 3 wood.

Great vid Andy! I think the only thing that would stop me putting 7 wood back in the bag would be having to hit that into a head wind. With those launch and peak figures I think 192 carry would be optimistic as the descent angle after its stalled would be about 85-90 degrees🤔

Interesting. Only concern I have with having a fairway wood in place of a hybrid are those nasty awkward lies out of the rough etc where I have found it is easier to get launch and contact with the slightly smaller mass of a hybrid. Great video and I will definitely have to consider a 7w as a potential.

It's funny that you did this video now because just yesterday as i finished my round I was just thinking about replacing my hybrid with a 7 wood, it would fill the gap between my 5 wood and my 5 iron perfectly and give me a little bit more forgiveness and a little higher ball flight than my hybrid.
