I love all the comments about cross contamination and such. Yes i'm Italian, no i'm not triggered by those comments. The kind of ingredients he's cutting on that board are bread, veggies, cheese, and cured meat. Cross contamination only happens with RAW meat or fish, because of the bacteria on/in the meat, if he was cutting RAW chicken, i would understand all the fuss, but with cured meat, that's not the case at all. In cured meat the amount of bacteria is 0, everything gets killed by the salt and the curing process and that's why you can eat stuff like salami, coppa, prosciutto and so on. Beside that, it's really funny to think how some people want everything to be cut on a different cutting board, but then they'd eat everything smushed inside a sandwhich.... as if it's not okay to cut em on the same cutting board, but it's okay to chew everything and let it sit in your stomach lol

My friend ate one dish, it was like a sandwich, but with cheese totally covering the outside of the sandwich. You could not see the bread, infact I am not sure if there was any bread inside, it was as thick as lasagna, but it was not. I thought that was panini. Any idea what dish he had? (Sorry but I am unable to ask him now)
I have only had mortadella once, on accident (a happy accident) because I asked for bologna. Ot was with pistachio. Awesome! The rest of my life, I ordered it and it was no accident!
Panino simply means "Sandwich" or "roll" Panini is plural- "sandwiches" ...."a panini" doesn't make sense in Italy. I'm not sure who's idea it was to make it a singular word.

Exactly. You can't cut the cheese and the tomatoes on the same board, but you can put them both in your mouth and eat them? Weird.
