He got spoiled; just like me in 1990; so what if the Spread says you'll lose? We'll find a way! The the 1990's taught me reality.
And Reality for fans is this: The ONLY thing guaranteed from fandom of one team, is DISAPPOINTMENT. Even Patriots fans got to get their hearts ripped out in 06,07,09,10,11,12,13,15,17. Painful upset losses in the postseason. Being the underdog winner is great, but it sure sucks to be on the other side of that. 12 teams enter the postseason, 11 fan bases get to feel a kick in the balls. Now its 14, but really, those last 2 have no business there so it'll hurt a lot less.

Coughlin was not going to play that game. Last 8 minutes or so the Giant D had the Steelers number for sure. That's what won them the game.

TWO 1000 yard Rushers Brandon Jacobs, and the OL was so good a 5th year 7th round pick Derrick Ward got another 1000 yards. The NYG defeated ALL final 4 teams, Cardinals, Eagles, Steelers, Ravens. A #1 seed. Lost to Eagles first round. No Plax isn't the reason; that's a comforting lie for Giants fans; he was 4th place in NYG receptions. Fans love to place blame on one guy; always; its THAT guy. The QB; The HC; 2006 Colts Patriots its all RECHE CALDWELL's fault. Giants on that 08 team know it was a Total Team collapse against the Eagles in Playoffs. What the Cowboys were famous for; sucking against an NFC East Rival in either week 17 or the playoffs.

Plax isn't magical unicorn that fixes everything, if he was, he'd have gotten way more catches then he did pre suspension.

Buress was one of the leaders on the team, he caught the winning TD vs the Pats. I don't know if NYG makes it back to the superbowl but it is simply absurd to think Plax shooting himself didn't have a huge negative impact on the team.

The double move by Steve Smith with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter was something to behold. I miss a four man pass rush. Man what a team.
