Hey! While you're scrolling.. drop a like on this video! It helps us out so much!
Ever since the algorithm clearly not treating you right for some arbitrary reason, I make a point if liking and commenting on everything you do. Wishing you a lovely weekend and all the best, you bring many many people much joy
@@tuomasrantalainen Appreciate that!
Agreed, Tuomas R 🙏
Always drop a like.
By the way, your custom signed puzzle, has at least two solutions. The one you show, and another more difficult solution.
Here’s a thought: after solving a puzzle why don’t you do a stream with the creator so they can walk us through their process of creation and the mechanisms behind the puzzles. That’d be fire.
Heck yes!! Brilliant idea!!
Great idea
how about a movie where he discovers his love for puzzles, begins solving more complex puzzles and giving lore on where his love for puzzles and methods of working them come from, and inevitably he'll end up unknowingly solving a puzzle that saves humanity
Chris did that with Japan trip, the OG of puzzle boxes, these new guys coming up are great in their own way, but there's so many different types of them it's hard to travel all over just to interview. Most have their own sites and channels, my favorites are the metal shop puzzles, precision, and it feels good in your hands, the weight, the feeling you can't break it is awesome
Great idea
21:26 That is actually a Ceasar cipher and it's basically the alphabet shifted a few letters backward or forwards. So let's say we have the word "captain" and we want to make it a Ceasar cipher. First, we need to decide how many letters forward or backward we want to shift it. Let's be simple and shift it one letter forward. That means that "c" would become "d", "a" would become "b" and so on. And in the end, from the word "captain" you get "dbqubjo". And btw it says "Horses of the sea. there shall be three. Wardens of the 'CIPHER' wrote. Hidden in the navigation note."
Oh, I thought it was a Journey to the center of the earth ref.
@@Lucas-Stl bru
that's so cool, I didn't think about that possibility until seeing your post
There was more
I think it would be so cool if you did a super long video down the line and do all of the puzzles together for this awesome saga of Nemo. Like a full length movie of epic puzzle solving. Could even run with some kind of epic cinematic theme with it to. Just my random thought lol. Love ya Chris, you do amazing work, and I greatly enjoy every one of your videos. Stay awesome!
Totally. Compilation videos are great when they tie a series together
Boooooooboooo
Definitely 💯
Yup yup, fully agree.
I would love to see that!!!
Thanks for showing these puzzle boxes. I could never afford one so it's nice to be able to experience them like this. The high quality of your presentation, the mood-setting intros, the camera setups and video editing all make for as good as an experience as can be had without having the puzzles in my own hands. All it cost me is an optional click of the 'like' button. Great stuff.
This was a fantastic solve
❤
I second this. Thank you!
Same. Awesome puzzle dreams are made of! ❤🎉
I loved every piece of this puzzle, but the compass and map part is just pure genius! Kudos to the creators!
It’s been a while since I got stuck down your rabbit hole. The QUALITY of your videos have grown immensely. The stories to go along with make me feel invested. Well played Sir. This is a nice twist on the topic of puzzles.
I would push the plunger in fast and see if the added pressure does anything.
Ps. Air pressure being involved shows the precision in Craftsmanship of this puzzle. Then you throw in the manipulation of a legitimate compass... It's truly a work of art!!
The cipher at the end is much easier than you think! Just write down the letter that precedes each letter in the cipher!
"Horses of the sea. There shall be three.
Wardens of the cipher wrote. Hidden in the navigation note."
Glad I'm not the only one who got that. I was just playing around with the letters and figured out the pattern.
Any time I see a cryptogram type puzzle, I automatically look for "there" or "Where". In this case, once I found that..I was like, "wait..its just shifted over a letter..it can't be..thats too insultingly simple"...then I checked, and it was. I am not trying to boast. I don't consider myself that smart. But this was the most obvious cryptogram I've ever seen.
Ah, I was looking in the comments for someone else who saw the pattern!
Then... if you look at all of the capital letters in the note that should not be capitalized (i.e.- ignore names, the word "I", etc.) you get CRYPTEX... whatever that means...
@@brianegendorf2023 It was simple, too simple. I thought it was a Keyword Cipher at first, with the letters being shifted by the keyword Kryptos. But that didn't work, so I tried Caesar Cipher, shifting the letters by different numbers, starting with 3, cause that's what the site defaulted to, then 2, then 1, and suddenly words lol
Would love to see you visit Jesse's workshop like you did with your recent trip to Japan.
The craftsmanship that goes into these puzzles is amazing!
Code on the letter appears to be 'one letter after the displayed letter' so THE becomes UIF and so on (or the real letter is one before the code letter if you are solving it from the code)
OH MY GOD!!!
@@ChrisRamsay52 Just in case in wasn't picked up, and is later important - it was Wardens of the Cipher, not Wardens of the Fisher - which maybe pointed to using the surname in the final code?
Dude thank you so much for not chopping this down to 15 mins to please the “instant gratification” generation. This is the $hit that made me start watching and liking every damn video you put out! I loved this puzzle video and can’t wait for the follow up to it! Please continue to do what you do best and full send this $hit!
Why do you people have to constantly shit on Gen Z? I'm in food service, and I can assure you that Boomers and Gen Xers are far more interested in "instant gratification".
This - it's the process that's so interesting, along with the solution
First off I said nothing about a certain generation. I used no labels or specifications. And it’s facts that almost every creator has to adapt and change they’re videos to shorten and get to the “juicy” parts of a video quicker because retention times drop after a certain point in time. So there is in fact a “instant gratification” generation but that doesn’t necessarily mean that’s it’s gen x, y, or z or whatever. So maybe jusssstttttt maybe before going on the defensive and start with the “you people’s” just be more open minded and if you read something you disagree with try engaging in open dialogue and conversation. The point of my comment was originally about how much I enjoyed Chris’ video but has now been hijacked into a generational difference thing I guess 🤷♂️
@@claires1063 such a Gen Z response! 🤦♂️ 😂
@@phoenix1114so you're happy he didn't shorten the video for the boomers?😂 I'm gen z and I love Chris's videos
Went from “that’s cool, but simple”
To “WOW” real quick here. What a master puzzle maker. Just incredible
To imagine how the mind of this puzzle maker works is beyond me. It's such a fantastic combination of imagination, ingenuity, craftsmanship, and execution.
The production quality on your videos is amazing.
I think that's a new first place in your puzzle collection. Beautiful design and materials, supporting the backstory perfectly, That can easily be imagined to sit in the captains cabin on the Nautilus. Unusual great ways to solve certain steps. Marvelous piece.
Why do i get a feeling there was more to this puzzle. Or something missed. Was the last piece just the map
That's exactly what we thought. That did not feel like the end of the puzzle at all.
Super cool puzzle! I’ve always loved your videos. Glad to see this back on my feed. I noticed that the “handwritten” letter with the cipher had random characters capitalized - was wondering if that meant something.
The island is in the shape of a cuttlefish. Eye and all. Rather cute detail.
That´s a beautiful looking puzzle. Amazingly crafted.
So glad you are back to making puzzle solve vids. Not only is your content enthralling it is also entertaining and so professionally produced.
Dude!! The extent you go to on these videos is INSANE!!!!! Keep crushing it and producing the things you love 🤘🏻
Welcome back buddy. Thanks for being open and transparent about the struggle physically and emotionally with the “burnout syndrome” you spoke about in a recent video. Shows your self worth is measured from within and take a break when necessary. Rest is not weakness and looks like you’re having fun and that’s what life is for. 🎉
The noise you made when the suction first stopped working is pure joy. Love this puzzle
Holy cow, that was really one of the greatest puzzles I´ve ever seen. Incredibly well put together.
That discovery moment where the drawer popped out... That's why I keep returning to this channel. Love sharing in your discoveries.
This is the coolest puzzle I have seen, so much detail into such a small box. So dope!!
Loved the artistic lead in story. It really helps set the mood, and lend some mystery to the story as well as insinuate questions about the government's role and motives.
You physical and logical skills in solving this are at wizard level.
Super praises to the designer for that crazy magnetic sliding decoder linked to the compass and map. My mind has been NUKED!
THANKS for taking me on this journey with you! I look forward to the next steps!
Jesse Born’s puzzles are alway epic. I was able to get The Lost Vault of Jesse James and the craftsmanship makes it a work of art, not to mention the mechanics of the puzzle itself. Another great intro and video.
What an intro! The work you put into making them so cinematic is astounding. Love watching your videos. I hope you're doing ok. Much love from here in the UK 🇬🇧 🇺🇸
Yes, seriously. This could be a legit trailer for a major movie. The continued quality and attention to detail in these videos is awesome.
Dude is Canadian so not sure what the American flag is about. 🇨🇦
@@ObsessiveGeekthey could be British American lol.
Love it. I’m gonna buy one now. Thanks Chris.
This puzzle is a work of art
I am so excited to see you back! Just wondering if you had plans to release puzzle boxes on your site? While im excited that you can show off these amazing works of art that i could never afford, i cant help but feel like you're leaving money on the table. Given your stamp of approval, your fans know its quality and puzzle designers can get some support. I cant be the only person who has thought this.
The imagination these pizzle creators possess is stunning. The artwork is amazing
16:54 😂 i’m here, screaming look at the compass, because when he turns the puzzle box, the compass dial also seems to move lol
18:25 I was screaming check the other hole to, it’s difficult to watch sometimes when you can see things he can’t.
Well done and thanks. Just started watching your videos a few day ago, I find them very relaxing, enjoyable, thanks for sharing.
Don't know what could be better than a puzzle that stands alone AND has a connection to a theme series!
The brain a person would have to have to not only create these puzzles but solve them. Creativity, critical thinking, intuition. Like, I could never. That’s why I watch you do it! Absolutely awesome, beautiful puzzle.
This is one of my favorites, love this episode, production and puzzle. Awesome work as always!
I loved it, the box is so well made and beautifully decorated. Another great video, can't wait to see the next in the series.
love the cipher. always love ciphers. I seriously thought you were off track with the solve of that. I thought it was going to be a further physical sequence/maze where you adjust the drawer so that the needle matches up with the order of the written lines, which are obviously not in order so you would make it face SE, E, NW, W, SSE. and then ta-da magically something else is unlocked you didn't even know to look for
There was a lot to such a small puzzle. Great job on the solve!
Cant wait for part 2. The attention to detail and visuals are insane!
Dope! I was just watching your older videos when the notification for this one came in.
This right here is where you shine! This is all I want to see from you, really! Nobody else can do what you do, bro! Keep it up!
Who knew that watching someone solve puzzles would be so .. brood pumping and calm at the same time
Another amazingly built puzzle. Really fun to watch him go thru this! Can't wait for the next puzzle in this series!!!
Love these puzzle videos Chris, and you introductions are epic! They set the mood so well. I love to sit and watch you solve these with a cuppa tea after a busy day! Keep them coming my friend! Epic Content!
17:26 open a bottle of wine, I reckon.
hahaha
Cool video!
My only issue is that everything was so dark, I couldn't really understand what was going on half the time.
I love these puzzles. Cost is my only barrier. These vids are a path to enjoying them. It hurts to watch you solve them at the same time though
76yr old Kiwi in New Zealand, found your channel recently and am totally hooked on watching you solve puzzles, thank you.
Another bangin' intro 🔥🤘
I have a copy of your escape room and I cannot recommend it more... especially at that price 🤯.
It's a beautiful deck you get too (the ace of spades is awesome ♠️
I always love when one of your solves has a dramatic build-up - and this one was no exception 😁🤘.
What a beautiful, incredibly made, challenging puzzle.
Great video, great solve, Chris 🙏🤘
So glad that Chris gives us the chance seeing a puzzle like this! I could never effort one of these no matter how much i love those!
It’s a mind blowing one!! Since years you give me so much joy with magic and puzzles living the life i always dreamed of! You are such a great content creator and a much better person! Thank you so much! And a special thanks to the team! ❤ much love from germany
such a cool puzzle, i'm happy youtube finally recommended one of your videos to me again on my page
All of your puzzle and magic trick send me into the craziest form of awestruck. Keep it up! ❤️
Are you sure you finished the puzzle? What about that one peg that was moving next to the other three that wasn't?😂
Even though it's very obvious that he's done this puzzle before filming I still love watching these videos
What an awesome puzzle, and an incredible video! Your puzzle solutions are just so much fun to watch, and this one in particular was really spectacular and just a beautiful piece.
The compass moving with the puzzle is insane
Killer intro as always and an amazing design!
These intros are sick!!
Soooo good bro. Thanks for coming back again to share these with us. Definitely the ultimate puzzle channel
What an absolute beauty of a puzzle! Another great video man! Keep up the grind. Much love ❤️
Thank you for another great video! I paused the video and tried the cipher myself. I got almost the same thing except I got 'warden of the cipher' instead of 'warden of the fisher'. That is based off the entire alphabet being shifted by one letter. Also starting with 'the' I noticed that U being T, H being I, and F being E made the pattern of each letter representing its proceeding letter. Did anyone get it the same way?
It’s a ROT1 cipher
That's it ?!!
I loved this puzzle, it has many new features i've never seen before, the vacum thing, and i had the same reaction you did when you understood the magnetic decipher thingy, insane !
Shipping to the UK! Great stuff.
Dude went full Joe biden in the escape room ad
lol
Like, share, su-uhhh, you… you know the thing.
@@Henrydingus01123 Okay, listen here bal..
?
@@ChrisRamsay52 At least three, Jack
32:40 Cipher is n-1.
"Horses of the sea, these shall be three. Wardens of the cipher wrote, hidden in the navigation note."
Typed text on the bottom of the note appears to be a cipher. Ran it through a decoder to get "Horses of the sea. There shall be three. Wardens of the cipher wrote. Hidden in the navigation note."
Love watching your videos while I paint, not sure if I’ve mentioned that before but helps me zone into what im doing so much. Very awesome content. This puzzle was insane!
I've seen so many amazing puzzles on your channel. Beautiful big, expensive puzzles, and simple little wooden puzzles. This for some reason is one of my favorite looking puzzles ever! I'm not a puzzle person, I get frustrated and my brain just doesn't work that way. For some reason, I really want this particular puzzle. Great job, as always, on that amazing intro!
The intros are so captivating. Every time. I watch them and every time I feel like you should be getting more recognition, everyone should know your work. It just blows my mind.
You really do great work Chris, this is so entertaining. Thanks for the solid content.
Hi Chris, Have been watching your videos for years and get so much enjoyment from them! I now build/design Escape room props and puzzles and this is one of the best ones i've seen! it's so lovely to see a puzzle box like this that doesn't just SCREAM laser cut 🤣
Thank you for finding a way to ship to the UK😀. What a unique and cool puzzle
I LOVE the intros that you tell a back story with. ❤ I especially loved the story line of the future and disappearing Chris!😊
@14:02 As soon as you blocked the holes and began to push the plunger, I knew that it was an aha moment. Very exciting for me because I was right there with you in that moment. This puzzle is the most extraordinary example of folk art, craftsmanship and engineering ingenuity that I have ever seen!
Loved this puzzle! Thanks for sharing
Downloaded video while back and watched now during loadshedding. Dont think i have enough patience for these puzzles like chris. But these videos are interresting and relaxing.
Awesome puzzle, my son and I love to watch you work these out!
Love your stuff Chris! The intros always so neat to experience.
I loved this puzzle and I loved how he incorporated captain nemo from the book into it.
One of the sickest puzzles I’ve seen. Wow!
This was one of my favorite puzzles I've seen you do yet!
This was amazing to watch, thanks for posting these great solves!
Awesome puzzle, thanks Chris
these are my fav kind of puzzle! its so beautiful and has a good vibe and great story, love it!!!!!!!
Can't wait for part two of this. Till then I'll still be watching ur videos. just subscribed to Ramsay tv.
Such a cool puzzle man. This is why I love your channel. Keep it up!
I'm from Sri Lanka and it caught me off guard that our country was involved with this. I'm soo happy and thanks. It's not common for foreigners to know our country.
He is awesome, little steam punk puzzle type, i love his shop, and his workers that helps him
ok so I was digging this but when the compass moved with the drawer....that's a really cool puzzle, one of the best I have seen!
Amazing puzzle, and I love the coral decorations that make the theme pop.
I can't say I'm totally satisfied with the conclusion because it's part of a bigger chain of puzzles, but this is the kind of puzzle I wish we could see so much more of! A puzzle made entirely of physical mechanisms.
The electronic gadgets can be cool, but even if they all actually worked, it's honestly still pretty lame. You can program anything you can imagine into a computer, but making a puzzle box that just physically works...that's a true art form of deception.
I'd also love to see some more innocuous looking puzzle boxes featured if possible. This one was a pretty good example, but to be specific, it would be very interesting to see some puzzle boxes that don't look like they're hiding anything until you start uncovering their secrets.
That was a great watch. Thanks Chris 👍
Just an amazing puzzle! Thanks for sharing this!!
Wow this is a beautiful work of art.
Always love the short cinematics in the beginning. Beautifully done!
