Hey-up you lovely lot, sorry for the radio silence! Things are a bit shit at the mo, doing what I can when I can... PS - those farts were just SFX!
U orite m8??👍🏴
@@michaelwillson6847 Not really dude, for sale sign went up this week - thats the short version...
SFX? Aye right! ;) Glad to see yer still here and about. Thanks for the post Ben. Praying things get better in yer world. Take care & stay safe.
@@dougdavidson175 Thank you mate!!!
Hi Ben, great that you have been able to post something. But, you know what, it was a great video and a great build. So sorry to hear that things aren't going well for you. I hope that you get it sorted quickly and find some peace.
Turned out better than I thought it would! lol Nice job, mate. :)
Cheers dude, I don’t always polish a turd, but when I do… I roll it in glitter 😆
Damn Ben! Absolutely magic!! Seriously, an amazing build. Always impressed with what you come up with. Hope things turn around for you. Hang in there mate.
Maaaate that one was worth the wait! Cracking build from reclaimed junk... plus your place is a lot larger than I have previously imagined. The red vinyl wrap is awesome.
Cheers dude! It’s not really mate, it’s space I can use but shouldn’t. I sometimes work on my car in the main part of the barn. I wish I had a bigger workshop!
Really enjoyed the glamour footage of the finished cabinet. Shots and edits worked really well. 🥸
Cheer dude, funny I thought it was one of my bad edits but most seem to of enjoyed it 🤷🏻♂️
I'm a "three grinders in a row" kind of a guy... cutting, grinding, flap sanding. A beautiful video as always, love the Ravi Shankar vibe in this one👍
Im always a 3, 5, 7, 9 guy - just looks better imo! Havent needed a flap sander yet though, but bet your bollocks in a barn dance I'll be getting one at some point!
Hi Ben, glad the radio silence has been broken......I love to see this sort of build (using what comes to hand) cracking video & good to hear the goat is well!
...even the drawer slides were, Ive got loads of them! Wish they were soft closing but I know from experience they fail in a workshop environment way sooner that other slides.
Still loving all your shizzle Benjamin. Great vibe and honesty. I foooooking hate batching out drawers too...
It’s so boring eh! Monotony kills everything.
That is an amazing transformation! Well done brother! Thank you for the inspiration!
Cheers dude, thanks for the compliment! I hope you’re kicking arse and taking names! 🍻🍻🍻
never tool boxes could be that sexy!!! great work man!!!
Thanks dude, thanks for the compliment mate! 🍻😊🍻
Perfect addition to the shop…need one of those so much! Kaizen foam sorts it all out nicely. Thanks Ben for the video and hope things turnaround for you quickly!
Cheers Marshall. The foam I’m on the fence about the space it takes up is crazy BUT the caveat is if a tool is missing you know what it is prior to the next time I need it. Mechanics tools I feel that’s a huge plus as always loosing those tools, especially 10mm socket 😂
Great job Ben. I can't wait to get all my tools organised. Now I just have to get a workshop then buy the tools to put in it 😂😂😂🤭🇬🇧
Cheers dude! In a similar boat to you now 😬
good job and good humour! the piece would be a piece of jewelry in every massage parlor hallway 👌
LMAO! was the red right 😂
Stunningly beautiful and magnificently utilitarian. Awesome job..
Cheers dude, hope you had a blinding weekend! 🍻🍻🍻
M8 that's probably one the fanciest and nicest shop carts ever seen 👏👏 looks amazing!🏴👍
Cheers Michael! Nice to have one that fits everything finally! Not gonna lie it weighs a ton 😂
@@HewAndAwe a bet it does did look at it and think that's a bit beast! Should be well proud it though. If only had your skills! As say you know we're a am m8 any time. 🏴👍
@@michaelwillson6847 thanks dude!
Another great bit of work Ben.
Thank you Paul, appreciate the compliment mate! I hope you’re well!! 🍻🍻🍻
Nothing like using up all the old stuff you knew would become useful one day 👍
...its up there with, chucking crap you've had for 5+ years out and needing it the next day! 😂
Fantastic mate great content 👍
Thank you for the compliment, appreciate it mate!!! 🍻🍻🍻
What a stunning shop cabinet. Great build video once again!
Cheers dude, I hope you’re well!? 🍻🍻🍻
@@HewAndAwe I am mate. I have been commissioned to do some jobs that have been slightly out of my comfort zone (sort of treading on toes of actual professionals haha) so it has been a really rewarding experience with some really understanding clients. Having said that although I have filmed quite a few projects lately I haven’t uploaded in 5 months!!! I need to fix that. Your videos are a huge inspiration to me though. Thank you.
@riversidewoodworks they’re often the best jobs, I prefer them to those I’ve done a load of before. I’d take anything at the mo though! Bad times. 😔
@@HewAndAwe I’m sorry to hear that mate. Hoping things get better for you. You deserve it! Thanks
Nice shop cart - every wood shop should have one and mechanics tool chests just don't cut it. I made my years ago during a home renovation using construction grade lumber left over from the reno - re-use, recycle, repurpose. I just added a "wall cabinet" mounted above the work surface. Actually came across your channel looking for ideas for the build and have stuck around for all your videos since.
Anything you would change with the cart you made dude? Thanks for sticking with me, it’s a bit tough at the mo to get vids done..
The "cart" I built has 5 drawers at 1200w x 600d - 2 ea 75h, 2 ea 150h and 1ea 300h. I am a Heavy Equipment Mechanic by trade so design was based on what I like about HD tool boxes but sized and using materials friendly to my woodworking tools. Because I didn't have a fixed idea of what I was going to put in each draw while I keep adding to my collection, I was slow to put in dividers to organize stuff, so, yeah, I would get on organizers sooner rather than later.
IMHO, if you are running out of steam to get vids done, I would rather wait longer between videos until you are excited about sharing a project or having a rant than seeing you hitting burn out and throwing in the towel. Have you thought about building a wooden boat? That will get your head going - nothing but curves but they all have to be straight. Haha.
Hang in there dude and keep doing what you love.
@@hamishkirkness6933 it’s not so much burn out but a wall, a wall of what future is there for me, my furniture doesn’t sell, the barn the workshop is in is now on the market to be sold, CZcams doesn’t pay enough to rent another workshop - that’s the short story dude 😞
Great video as always! Thumbnail could be better though.... Show off those beautiful organized drawers!
Cheers Chris, thanks for helping out too! Thumbnails are a nuisance, it’s really tough to get right - you don’t want to show the end product and create intrigue so people click but then like you say show it off a bit I can never see which even more irritating is a vid lives of dies on a thumbnail, doesn’t matter if the editing is good 🤦🏻♂️ thumbnails are my weak point for sure 😔
Brilliant 👏 👏
Thank you Andrew! Appreciate the compliment mate, hope you’re kicking arse and taking names! 🍻🍻🍻
Epic bit of kit Ben. Less Snap On more Hard On.😂
This cracked me up, got out of my pit to read this as my first notification 😂😂😂
Not sure I'd be happy to have that in my workshop.... but my bedroom....😊
…stocked to the brim with lacy red lingerie to match - for her of course 😆
@@HewAndAwe we could have Hims in the left drawers and Hers on the right
That was epic mate! What a flipping video and project ❤
Cheers dude! Was a whopping 13gb upload 🤯 …I can’t work out why.
@@HewAndAwe 35 minutes at 4K I suppose 🤷♂️
@dainermade I’ve had a 55min vid at 4k half that size though. 🤷🏻♂️
@@HewAndAwe I’ve no idea mate. This is totally your department
I just do what you say with tech where I can 🤣
@dainermade haha I’ve updated to the new OS insomnia and the latest FCP wishing I hadn’t.
High level reuse, respect 👏
Cheers dude! Hope you’re well!!! 🍻🍻🍻
I would have that in my front room 👍
Careful what you wish for 😂 cheers Warren, hope you’re well mate! 🍻🍻🍻
Another great video. Been looking for your next offer. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, hoe youre having a lovely weekend!!!
Those vinyl sides (or whatever) make this super saucy! I love it! Hope things get better for you soon mate.
Cheers dude, was gonna say they can’t get any worse but Sod’s Law and all that 🤦🏻♂️
Wow such dedication to detail I love it. Bruce
Cheers Bruce, appreciate the compliment mate! Hope you had a lovely weekend! 🍻🍻🍻
(came late, read the comments...) Great cart, bad news.
Hope it all turns around, to the best of ways. Cheers mate, be well.
Cheers dude, fingers crossed another door opens. 😊
Where did you get that immense sound library? Your edits are so entertaining. Love your videos, keep em coming.
Thank you mate. I used epidemic sound, they’re okay and they allow you to download all the stems too which makes shortening or lengthening the track easier. And if you’re like me suck at thinking of the right search terms the UI still finds what you’re after.
Thanks. I look forward to your next opus!@@HewAndAwe
The easiest way to remove those vise jaws would have been to clamp them in your vise..........
Was my thoughts way back then, along with chicken and egg. But no way was gonna put that in my woodworking vice, especially with heat.
EPIC!
Cheers dude, hope youre well!!!
That’s a masterpiece!❤
Cheers dude, hope you’re well mate!!! 🍻🍻🍻
Awsome😁
Thank you!
Nice work man
Thank you Aaron! Appreciate the compliment mate! Hope you had a lovely weekend 🍻🍻🍻
Pretty cool toolbox
Thank you 😊
Oooh suits you sir! Letting that grinder hang loose, oof suits you
Lmfao!!!!! Cheers Phil, that’s cracked me up!!! 🍻🍻🍻
Now who can knock a bit of red leatherette ? .... Nice..
Love red me, especially poppy red! Black lingerie should be banned 😂
Great vid. I am curious, why did you rip the big slab into so many pieces, then glue them back together, instead of cutting two parallel, straight edges on the slab? Is it only design (visual) choice, or does it serve a role in the block's resistance to stress?
Thank you for the compliment. Seasonal movement, a board expands and contracts mostly across the face of the board, rip it and flip it then the seasonal movement will mainly expand and contract upwards instead of side to side, hope that make sense?
I can see how adding the steel on top warrants a dimensionally stable substrate, and other methods of accounting for wood movement would not work in this application. Thank you for the clarification.
He said bukkake!!! 😅😅😅
I wonder how many googled that 😂😂😂
As a society, I hope 99% had no idea what it means but I'm pretty certain only 1% were befuddled...
Ewe BASTA#D ... let my tea get cold !!!! watching this dam video..... 🤣👍
LOL I try and watch YT with my dinner!
