I think sometimes people hate on Barkley as a player because of what he says on TV. He was great, a dominant scorer and sadly that didn't get him a ring.
Edit: 6'4-6'6 PF dominating? Legendary
AJ Wright You need a great team to win a ring
Made in MEX my bad I meant to put a period
Kris Radke no shit
Charles Barkley was simply an unstoppable force. He was truly awesome and fun to watch. Many say that Tim Duncan is the greatest Power Forward of all-time but in my opinion, Barkley and Karl Malone are up there with Duncan. Yes, Tim Duncan is a 5-time champion and deserves much praise for his accomplishments. But I remember how Chuck would post up and dominate much taller players on a regular basis and at probably 6'5"? That's just insane! If I'm correct, Charles is the shortest player ever to lead the NBA in rebounding (14.6) for a season back in 1987. Yeah, it's a shame that he didn't win a championship, but like you guys have said, teams win championships. It just wasn't meant to be. Regardless, it doesn't take away how great a player he was.
I can tell you that Rodman was a short player, and he was a better rebounding than Barkley. Barkley was more than that. He was great on atack, defense and teamplays. I like him a lot.
Barkleys last year stats are better than some all stars this year 😂😂
53-59. Damn didn’t know they played that many games back in the day 😂😂 4:05
Josh Lee they didn't I don't know what the hell dude talking about
He meant 53-29. Obviously his tongue slipped lol
Josh Lee as far as I know it was really 82 games...don't know where this guy gets his info from
it's been 82 since forever
@@bluechitown6853 since *1967, not forever.
And people say Draymond green is better than Barkley lmao.
Defensively he is.
Who says it ?
D'Mario 2000 how is that an L has Barkley ever made an all defensive team in his career. Draymond already has a DPOY.
Big difference between defence in 80-90 and now
Draymond was never and will never be the focal point of the offense. That’s why he can spend all/most of his energy on defense. Barkley is a decent help defender as you can see from his highlight blocks and it kinda surprised me (i watched him from early to mid 90s) that he was up there all-time in steals.
Damn chuck was a monster! Especially being 6'4-65 playing power foward? Put some respect on that man name!
That 1993 team was a monster if they didn't have to face peak MJ they'd be remembered way more
They would've won a ring if they played any other team. It also should have gone to 7 games against the Bulls but Paxson was left open.
I agree, only if they didn't have to face a prime MJ. That was a really good Phoenix team that should have three player's in the HOF.
Kevin Johnson
Tom Chambers
and of course Barkley is in
Ahmad2423
I may be wrong but I don't believe that Tom Chambers was on that Phoenix team in 92-93... PRIME Kevin Johnson is very underrated
Church Service he was but he was near the end of his career and wasn't as good as he was in his prime.
Church Service Chambers was there fam, '88-93, Man that prime KJ was a beast. Great defender and offensive player should definitely be in the HOF no doubt!
The Sixers didn't build around Barkley and traded him for some potato chips. How many times have we heard that?
BiasedRocketsFan 34
They were just getting started on the process, 30 years ago
Sandernista lmao 😂
Sandernista 😂
Sandernista Lmao!!! Good one!
Charles was really looking forward to playing with potato chips
For those who are wondering... I know Barkley is listed as 6'6 but its well know that he is really 6'4 - 6'5(even with shoes on)... Also I know people say him and MJ are the same height but MJ has openly admitted he is 6'5 himself
Legend Of Winning I really wonder how tall Dwade is, if you watch the video of him and Charles, Charles stands over him by quit a bit.
MYJEEP GOSKEEERT look at their draft combine records. it'll tell you how tall someone is/was with and without shoes
Legend Of Winning “6’4 -6’5” But is clearly shown to be taller then 6’7 Dr J at 3:14
MYJEEP GOSKEEERT Wade is 6’3/4
#Dubnation Did it ever occur to you that Dr. J’s listed height isn’t right isn’t right either?
Being 6'4 or 6'5 the amazing thing to me is his stamina. Think about it and look and his rebounds, blocks and putbacks (basically better timed rebounds) but the point is at that height hes having to jump to his maximum almost everytime and he puts up those numbers its literally amazing to me.
Barkley best player at 92 Olympics.
MadMatt41 not many peopke know that😎
Yup
mvp season right?
Also best player at 96 Olympics as well.
Crackerjack He played the best on that team
Barkley, absolute beast of an athlete in his youth. It's crazy. Looking at him now if you didn't know you'd never imagine that chubby funny guy was very mobile at all.
Large and in charge
Skip Bayless said draymond green is better then this man 😭😭😭 just remember that and use it as a factor for the next time you wanna take skip seriously.
Zack Durant, Skip Brainless should never be taken seriously.
Skip was just mad Barkley always trashes him anytime Barkley talks about Skip. So Skip will spin some BS that Draymond > Barkley. Lol prime Barkley would crap all over Draymond.
Eddie Bowles draymond green has gotta be the most overrated player ever.
Zack Durant skip only said that cuz Barkley hates skip soo much
Zack Durant I love dray but Barkley is a dif monster
Dray's got a nice all around game and his D is 1st team but Barkley was unstoppable.
Barkley can ALWAYS say to SHAQ "well if i had Kobe and Phil and i was playing in an ERA when Jordan didn't play, i could have won more rings than you" LOL. Shaq never won anything in the 90's like barkley LOL
Shaq would try to say that he beat MJ & Phil in '95 w/o Kobe. But then we all know he got swept by the Rockets that year while Barkley pushed that same team to 7 games.
TRUTH SPOKEN
And john stockton
Shaq and Penny eliminated MJ from the playoffs in 1995
@@black_iraq_warveteran150 forget that they got swept in the next season.
One of the greatest undersized players ever!
1 Bill Russell
2 Charles barkley
JoLee Vlogs 3) Iverson
4 Shaquille o neal
Bill Russell was far from undersized. He had 6’5 mailmen guarding him.
#Dubnation didnt know, bob pettit. Wilt Chamberlain, wes unseld, artis Gilmore, Jerry Lucas, Bob Lanier, and nate thurmond were 6 '5 mailman. Get ur facts straight.
JoLee Vlogs 6 10 is not undersized. Bill russel was average height for centers at that time.
*6'4"-6'5" POWER FORWARD, LEGEND.*
I remember watching Barkley as a kid he was amazing especially for a PF that was only 6-4”. The way he played was none stop hustle and energy was great but what I loved the most before the 3-second rule was invented is how he would back any Pf up in the NBA no matter how big they were and either score on them or mostly they would double or even triple team him in the post and he was such a great passer he was sort of a point PF rebounding the ball dribbling it up and making plays. The defense was still good when he played for the 76ers but they never put a team around him and he had to do it all that's when he got tired of it and left for the suns.
Barkley in the paint
3:05 Charles catches an alleyoop. His head is about rim level. Not bad for a 265 lbs truck. He could move back then.
Peter Tyrell lies
An EXCELLENT review of one of the great players in NBA history. I clearly recall watching Barkley do his thing. He was a monster. I feel he was underappreciated by the league because he didn't win championships. Keep up the good work, kid. Reviewing the "old masters" is a much needed and worthy exercise.
Elgin Baylor actually has the second most points scored in a playoff game behind Michael Jordan, 61 points against the Boston Celtics during the 1962 NBA Finals. This is still the regulation game playoff record.
MICHAEL SOWELL where ya been Big Mike! Hope all is well brother! ✊🏾
Baylor's 61 points was the record that MJ beat when he scored 63. Glad someone else caught that error.
Barkley is my favorite basketball player of all time. This man was undersized for his position but dominated in almost every aspect of the game.. The Round Mound Of Rebound was a beast!
5:58
CHARLES BARKLEY'S *LEGEND MOMENT*
I love Charles Barkley and always have, loved his style of play and his temperament on the court, he's the reason I'm a 76ers fan to this day, I know he left in 1992 but I never left the 76ers love behind,
Shaq and Sir Charles are the two best ex NBA guys and the most entertaining ones in history .... Wanna laugh and feel good watch these guys AMERICAN ICONS
Charles Barkley... arguably the most individually productive power forward in the modern era during his prime... especially in the post season... was extremely difficult to guard
You need to do a Chris Webber video
Idk every youtuber talks about webber
BiasedRocketsFan 34 I agree. Definitely one of the most under rated players.
He has in his most underrated players of all time video
BiasedRocketsFan 34 dude u have like half the comments on this video 😂😂😂
c webb gets disrespected by so many people
Remember when Donkey was offended when he was compared to Barkley? Lmao Barkley 10 times the player donkey will ever be
King yeah, it should be the other way. Chuck should be offended being compared to that overrated donkey.
I mean he is one of the best defenders in the nba and the heart and soul of one the greatest dynasties in sports... so
@@kohsmoger1567 yeah, but Barkley is way better overall. Lol
@@kohsmoger1567 Best defenders in the NBA? Barkley was a bad defender right? Yet Barkley is in the TOP 25 IN STEALS ALL TIME. Will Draymond end up top 25 in steals when his career is over? Something to ponder. Draymond will never have the career numbers Charles Barkley has. FULL STOP!
C.Barkley was a one of a kind type player with tremendous athleticism and as well an all around talented player!
He was so good
My favorite video you have done. Charles was my hero as a kid, I cannot think of a more unique Superstar in sports.
Much love Charles
This is an amaZing video and an AMAZING series idea this is exactly what i wanted!! Thank you your vids are amazing love the content
Nicely put together. Thanks for reminding me why he is my fav all time.
Brother L.O.W I truly appreciate you doing these. NBA fans need to be educated about the greatness that existed throughout the league's history.
Anyone who lived in Phoenix during the 90's knows how much fun it was to watch CB play in a Suns uniform.
Yes that 93 season was so damn fun to watch. From falling 0-2 in the first round to the Lakers just to win the next 3 in a row to advance. Suns lost in the finals but still had a very massive welcome back from the fans when they did return.
Love this. Dude was amazing
Thanks for this my guy. I always wanted to know more about Chuck.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I was the only kid in my school that liked Charles Barkley. Beyond his skills and his stats, I appreciated his attitude.
Well done as usual L.O.W. I agree with you on Philadelphia selecting him as the best thing that ever happened to his career. Having Moses Malone - who I know was his kindred spirit- did wonders for him in terms of preparing him for the physical rigors of the league.
I mean I really wonder if people realize Charles is a mini Moses Malone. The way they attacked the boards it was like they were the same person. Both were great offensive players and shall we say average at best defensive ones lol.
He (and Moses) are definitely an inspiration to play the game hard.
I look forward to the rest of your series on these overlooked and forgotten legends.
Keep it up man, good video. Can't wait for the next
44 points 24 rebounds smfh great
slick flair also in his first game back in Phoenix as a Rocket he had 20pts and 33rebs
Game 5 of the same series he had 43 pts 15 rebs and 10ast
Those Suns teams were my favorite of all-time and Sir Charles my favorite player. And I hate is when people say he was a bad defender. His defensive record was more ( I suspect) a result of how the Sixers played - I was too young to see those games- and that when it became his team he was playing a balancing act between offense, defense, the transition game etc.
4:07 53 and 59?
Connor Wilson Heard that too 😭, guess he meant 53-29🤷🏽♂️
Yea I was thinking the same thing
Thor Odinson how did fuck that up
yes! a charles barkley video! Great video man!!!!
Great content. Thanks for giving us a nice information about forgoten nba superstar.
Great synopsis. Chuck was my favorite player as a kid. This generation fail to realize how much of a beast he really was.
Hey great video keep it up good job
It sure was fun to watch him play and it's fun to listen to him commentate today.
Honestly never heard any talk about Clyde Drexler or Alex English or Joe Dumars
VyXious 2711 I would like that... barely know anything about Clyde’s career tbh and this is coming from a fan of basketball... can only imagine how little like just the typical watcher knows.
Alex English was the greatest scorer of the 1980s decade... he is indeed underrated
A lot of casual fans believe that Wade is the 3rd greatest shooting guard in the modern NBA... I still strongly disagree with that idea... I believe that PRIME Drexler was greater than PRIME Wade and Drexler is the 3rd greatest shooting guard in the modern NBA
Drexler is very underrated. He and the blazers franchise as a whole is overlooked
that’s because the sg position was dominated by 🐐🐐🐐 so a lot of the SGs were kindof overshadowed
For the decade of the 80's Alex English scored more points than anyone else... PERIOD.
Time goes by.. People forget.. All 3 of those guys were fantastic.
Legend!!!
Nice to see other players besides the "all-time greats" get recognition. Makes for good content.
This is the 1st time I've watched a video on this channel, I'm impressed, whoever does these has/need a position in a cinematic/media production company... But I really commented cuz I'm a musician and who/how/where tf do I find the instrumentals in this video my G.
Sonically or maybe cuz I'm under the influence, it was well put together.
I really appreciate this video so much. When I was a little kid my favorite players were Isaiah Thomas, Shawn Kemp and Charles Barkley.
Great video man
Legend!🙌🏀
Barkley was also money from the mid-range. His mid-range jumper doesn't get enough credit. Yes he got shots at the rim but he took a lot of jumpers too. Barkley shot 57-60 percent from the field while averaging between 23-28 ppg for seven years
In the early 90s the lakers were gone and there were about 5 teams in the west that could win the title. Getting out of the west was incredibly hard because every playoff series seemed like you were playing the world champions.
Awesome vid. ppl need to remember the old skool
_classic masterpiece bro_
there is a moment in the 1987 all star game where hakeem bumps on barkley and get thrown literally out of the court with charles just jumping vertical(not a foul call) ..the commentators of the time commented that hakeem has bounced off a mountain of muscles 5 6 meters away..there is another instance in a game against the celtics where he gets the rebound in between two celticks that split side ways the way an axe is splitting a piece of wood on the chopping block..the commentators take notice and cant believe their eyes commenting the event because you see charles rising in the middle a while after you notice two bigger bodies jumping and getting pushed sideways from an unseen inside force one to the left and the other to the right..
Nice video. Out of the 6 rings of Chicago, i remember that in those 92 finals more than 50% of people were considering Suns as favorites to win. It was the only time Chicago was not a fav
Why doesn’t LOW have 1 Million subscribers yet?😭bro I love your channel 💯
Dope video idea!!
Always cool to look back at the greatest players before my time
Can someone tell me Charles Barkley's actual confirmed height because there are so many sources that say he's either 6'5 or 6'6 and I'm pretty sure LOW said in the video he was only 6'4 so I'm really confused...
Daiton he's the same hieght as jordan who's also listed at 6'6 so unless both of them aren't that hieght he's most likely 6'6
New Royal Oh ok thanks dude
New Royal. Jordan admitted he’s 6’5 and Charles is 6’4 WITHOUT shoes, these are not speculations, these are facts straight of of both of their mouths themselves.
MYJEEP GOSKEEERT so that Would make them both 6'5 with shoes since they are the same height in pictures together
Daiton I have a 1990 basketball card that lists him at 6'4.5" so I consider him about 6'4"
Many don’t know how good prime Barkley was. A Beast
You should do a video about Dr. J no one talks about him and he is one of the most underrated players in nba history
Ada Ughanze 🤔
Ada Ughanze
Thank you very much... PRIME Dr. J is among the most underrated NBA players of all time... him vs. Larry Bird is still an ongoing debate... discreetly
Church Service no its not. Lmfao. Its a forgone conclusion that bird is better. He literally has him beat in everything but total points.
Church Service-Prime Dr. J didn't play in The NBA.
He's in 2 of my dream games
1: his draft class vs 96 class
2: his 93 Suns who loss finals to Jordans bulls vs Bron 2016 cavs who won title
My favorite player of all time.

Shout out Low love the content
Great video. The only thing I would have added is that when they lost to the Bulls in the finals, Barkley and Johnson were playing through injuries.
I remember that series against the bulls. He was awesome. I got the championship bulls hat that year but I also go a Charles Barkley jersey. Actually my first NBA Jersey.... You should do Dennis Rodman. Young people don't realize how dominating rebounder and defender. In my opinion the greatest versatile defender of all time.
Please do a video on Earl "the pearl" Monroe and Walt Frazier
Great, great player. Man he was awesome.
My favorite POWER Forward as a kid! I was the 'chubby' one often picked close to last, but couldn't be moved much on the low block or baseline. Right, I played the 4, Lol. #RoundMound
Well said youngster!!! Looking forward to more of your videos. I wish my man Charles played defense, he probably would've had a ring smh
Keep it up bro keep basketball knowledge alive do David Robinson and Moses Malone
Coast to Coast Signature Move.
He’s a freak of nature !!!
Dr J I listed at 6`6", and Barkley`s right there with him.
Photo is at an angle, I've met Barkley, I'm 6'3" and he is barely taller than me. Maybe 6'4 1/2.
Zion Williamson reminds me of this dude. But tbh I can’t see Zion being better than Barkley was in the nba
Zack Young Zion and Charles are nothing alike
Zion can rebound and dunk. Dude won’t be shit if he’s makes it to the league, he has no significant skill just stronger than everyone. He’s reached his peak athleticism, he won’t be bigger than his competition for much longer.
That’s if Zion makes it to the nba. He dominates 5 feet white kids and everyones on his dick.
Zach horvitz thats where youre wrong buddy they play very similar. They both use their strength and agility on the open court and post to score the rock. They both have great handles and speed which make them unstopable on the fast break. and if they have room to dunk it, theyre gonna dunk it. Think about it Zion is a 6,7 280 lb power forward. Charles Barkley is a 6,5 250 power forward. They are built super similar and both have games that look similar to eachothers.
MYJEEP GOSKEEERT Lol what are you talking about all chuck did was rebound and dunk. And dont be fooled they can both facilitate the ball about the same. And also Zion is about 6,7 270. Charles is 6,5 260. So Zion is already larger than Chuck. Zion dominates against anyone he plays against in high school. His aau team plays a national schedule agiants the best players at his age level in the nation and zion still puts up like 40-20 every night. he will be smaller than the average power forward but he'll still be a cervicable player.
5 star Podcast *****
kids nowadays dont how great he was, people love watching him play especially when he was with the suns, it amazes fans on how good he was able to grab those rebounds against bigger guys
Charles Barkley was a straight-up BEAST!
What's up CZcams it's legend of winning aka low and I'm back for a new video (love that intro)
Top 25 all time in my opinion..also he was the nest player on the 92 dream team and lead that team in scoring
Hakeem is top 10 all time, but people sleep on him
20th in rebounds while being 6'6 is incredibly impressive
44 points and 24 rebound?!?!?! Damn
my fav player
Aside from 3-pointers, Sir Charles could do everything on offense, starting with rebounding and scoring, but also blocks, steals, assists.
you know you’re great when you make it into a Public Enemy song
Do a video on the top 10 underrated players of the 90s
Young people don't appreciate Sir Charles because he has no ring and see him as the big ol dude in TNT. This guy was straight vicious during his Philly and early part of his Suns career. He attacks the basket with killing intent, he won't let anyone stop him and some defenders know stopping him at full steam will likely end up someone getting hurt.
He was always in the top 5 players of his time during his prime in arguably one of the golden periods of NBA
Whats amazing is he did all this at roughly 6'4" in an era dominated by big men on the shaded lane and physicality.
Yea. They don't know. They just Google stats or use Siri. Lol
That block on the X Man... ridiculous.
4th on my list of pf’s all time behind Timmy, Rodman (5 rings dpoy) and Kevin mchale
I met Charles Barkley after the rookie sophomore game at a kendrick Lamar concert
Kris Tolbert I read that you met him after his rookie and sophomore year on the sixers at a Kendrick Lamar concert and I thought that was hilarious
Miguel Gonzalez oh no I mean this year's rookie sophomore game or whatever it is
He was awesome
my best of thee best all time!!!!!
