Our life is full of creations by other people in the world. We also work partly for the world. But we are not happy because, we never work for ourselves.
So dont go to school. The only thing school teaches one. Is how to be content with being uncontent your whole life. Aka insecure

That standard alarm-clock beep, the one used in the beginning of the short? That noise is so deeply ingrained into my husband's psyche that he, next to me in bed, stone-cold asleep as a narcoleptic boulder, just shot awake because he barely heard the alarm in the video through my headphones, and his brain hit panic mode because it's not *supposed* to be a workday.
Seemed relevant to mention.

Me pareció fascinante.

When you think your job sucks someone always has it worse.
Someone will always have it worse but it really won’t make you feel better.
Faizan Aslam exactly! Talk about missing the point: a film about how we should rebel (watch till the very end!) and this guy interprets it as a sort of palliative optimistic resolution: “hey it could be worse, ya know?” - the recipe to maintaining the status quo.

This is so powerful and thought provoking. Thank you for making this.
Basically exposing the hidden human element behind the products and services that allow society to function. These things are done by people, and they are subject to financial and social oppression by the people the bosses they labor for. Capitalism delivers products to consumers as if they magically appear and the credit often goes to business owners but the human labour behind it all is hidden by the system. Also the fact that people are forced to sell themselves in service of others or perform mechanistic tasks turning them into literal machines designed to be programmed by someone else. They don't have their own freedom. Really creative way of depicting these issues I think it's more poignant because of how visually explicit it is.
After watching just a tiny portion of this video my entire mindset and perception of everything completely changes. Shaking my head at the realization of reality.
¡Me encantó!
O agachamento do capacho resultou incrivelmente expressivo.
How about imagine there are smiles on those people?

and we also can do our best to help them out...

Just look around, how many people had helped you?
the desk we use? the phone you love? the road you drive or walk on? the book you read? the person you talk to?...

E assim a roda gira

Most of our jobs lack meaning, we are just a gear in a big machine. And we focus so much time on that job that we have no time for meaningful relationships, we even abandon ourselves. We feel a deep insatisfaction with how the world is today, but we can't quite pinpoint it, we are just going through the motions. A "self-discovery" trip to India won't be enough this time, we need to look within ourselves.
This guy is getting paid to lie flat on the floor all day doing nothing! By far the best job in the entire cartoon!
This expanded reality, like a hyperbole, like a metaphor, is getting closer and closer.
All exists for him to work as door mat in the end! So impressive.

My father used to wake up at 5am for years, everytime i woke he was never there with us, and when he came back he was so tired that he couldnt even talk but sleep. When it was raining, snowing or when the sun was too hot he still went to work so that one day, when the time comes, we will enter the cycle and do the same for our kids.
Same my dad still does it. And it's because of him I feel even more motivated to work. To never complain because no matter what we do in the end we have to strive to survive.

Damn, this one is soooo great! I love it! It literally gives you so much to think about especially with this last shot. Even though you feel like your life is better then some others' at times, there're still people who are above you. And all that is left to do is to play their doormat. That's actually a reality for many working-class people.
he didnt feel his life was better.
But even for the big capitalists they are in constant competition with each other trying to buy each other out. It's dog eat dog all the way to the top. That's what makes it so awful, everyone suffers, but some bear the expense far more than others.
Time to abolish hierarchy
Modern society also maintains many bullsh1t jobs, sometimes deliberately. In the last shot, it could also be the boss' desk reporting in for the job, so it is really everyone stepping on top of each other and treating the people around us like literal furniture.
It is really normal for humans, it is written in the history of the Hebrews etc. that in the beginning, there was only darkness until gods stepped in. That is our mental state too.
