Exposure therapy with Benny!
This sweet boy was recently attacked by a group of dogs while walking with his family (who were also injured in the event). He didn’t have a lot of exposure to other dogs prior and is now fearful and anxious is a sees any. We first got to work cleaning up with leash manners and teaching basic obedience. This helps us create a consistent routine that becomes a predictable pattern, even around triggers. We then began implementing this clear leadership with dogs that are controlled and can remain stationary when needed. Although this is only the beginning, he’s already making progress and even starting to sniff with curiosity! PUPS Grad, Henry, along with current students, Mookie & Maverick, did a great job helping.
