My own head is my down fall off 26.8 great up the range shite on course but glimmers off being good again keep at it pal ✊✊
Yeh it's surprising how much the head can take over isn't it! Keep going mate we'll get there!!
Great video mate! I'm around 25 hcp and related to soooo much of this 😂
Haha glad to hear it!!! Played yesterday and hit a belter of a drive right on the fairway, leaving myself a 97 yard chip into the green... Finished the hole with an 8 🤣🤣 the joys of high handicap golf!!!
@@MindfulGolf_ Good lad, someone has to be average like us! "Into the green is wishful thinking for me 🤣 my last round featured a birdie, many bogeys and a broken hybrid! Looking forward to more content, do a what's in the bag!😁 And get to the Midlands, some great courses here 🏴
Haha amazing (except from the broken hybrid part!) ah yeh will definitely do a what's in the bag 👍 and yeh would love to check out some of the courses in the Midlands 👌
Interesting video. Just try slowing down the back swing. It will help control the swing better. I have always swing like a looney until this was explained to me. It does work
Ah thanks mate, appreciate that. Funnily enough it was only when watching back the video that I realised how rushed my back swing looks!! Will bear that in mind at the range and try slow it down.
Cheers mate
@@MindfulGolf_ Saw this comment and just wanted to modify this thought a bit. It isn't your backswing speed, it's the speed of transition that makes it appear "fast" and decreases control. If you are powering the club all the way to the top and then immediately switching to downswing, that's a violent transition and your brain can't react to any minor adjustments that need to be made. Keep your backswing speed but try feeling like you let the club "float" up through transition and let the weight of your arms and the club start the downswing. It will give your brain just a tiny bit more time to make adjustments.
If you are a motorsports fan, think of it as an F1 car entering a tight curve. It's not 100% throttle, Steering to full lock as you put the brake pedal to the floor and then back 100% throttle. There's a balance that occurs between the entrance of the turn, the apex and then exiting the curve. Power the club back, navigate the curve (transition) by using momentum and then add throttle as you see the exit.
You end up being more in control and will likely pick up club head speed with less effort.
That's great, thanks for the addition, very helpfully written 👍
Great video, liked and subscribed plus hit the bell icon
Thanks so much mate really appreciate that. More content coming soon :)
Birdie on the first is delightful!
Cheers mate! Felt like I was living the dream haha! 🤣
@MindfulGolf_ I bet, if that was me I'd have lost my head going into hole 2 🤣
@@FightingForePar haha!!! Not gonna lie that would be my general play!!! Managed to limit the damage this time 🤣🤣
@@MindfulGolf_ fair play that's better than I'd have managed 🤣
Nice to see someone else using a hybrid off the tee! Im the same as my driver is TERRIBLE.
Haha love it! Yeh love my hybrid when it goes well!!!
For a new player i am impressed with your swing.Just a little tip if i may (feel free to ignore as believe you will become a better player than me ) from a player aged 66yrs 7h/cap.When faced with a shot you feel you have to hit a good shot ie over a hazard etc Do opposite of what your mind is telling you ,swing slow and easy not hard and fast.Great video hope to see chanel grow.Mike.
Thanks Mike, really appreciate the encouragement. Love that advice too, will definitely take that on board! Definitely have a tendency to try too hard or to get too much out of the club for the trickier shots!!!
Much appreciated :)
Your swing is getting heaps better! Tempo is solid, and you're not standing up anymore #amateurobservations 😂
Ah thanks so much mate!!! Really appreciate that 👌
That birdie was amazing. I still haven't had one! Nice video!
Haha thanks mate!! I've not had many, so that one felt great!!!
