The Shambles is a historical street in York England and happens to be the best preserved medieval street in the world. It is located in the heart of York and it consists of beautifully preserved houses and shops that date back to the 14th and 15th century. It is a narrow cobblestone street, as you walk down it you can not help but be transported back in time.
It is very picturesque and the timber houses date back to the 14th century and their unique architecture captivates visitors from all over the world. The Shambles is believed to have been the inspiration behind Diagon Alley from the movie adaptation of the Harry Potter series.
This was filmed in December and it was busy but it rarely is ever quite here.
