You got a quiet day, you said beware of the crowds and as a resident of York can confirm weekends are jam packed. Great video showcasing the town.
Agreed, I don't bother going out on the weekends now.
All the "pub crawl lads" that come from all over, my friend got jumped and robbed at an ATM near TSB
I'm at York Christmas Market right this moment, just as I received the notification telling me why I should visit haha!! 👍😁🎄⭐️
Xmas will be hard for many of us this year. All I can say is, stay strong and let's hope for a better 2023.
On a side note. If you have mental health issues and you're still here battling it daily, never forget, you're a warrior!

I remember being in York when it snowed, and York Minster's bells were ringing out. It felt so Chistmassy..although it was Easter!😊 Cheers Tim.

I went to York Christmas Markets in November 2017 just 1 month before my Mum passed away in December that year 2017.
Will be interesting to see how it's changed since then & the memories it will bring back.

I must admit york has always been a place I've longed to visit it just looks absolutely stunning very quaint indeed and what a Christmas Market!
You just have to. Stunning whatever time of year it is. Be prepared to dodge crowds though as its always busy!

It's thanks to you Tim that I get to see these places and York is my favourite Christmas market and one of my all time favourite places full stop. I just haven't been able to get there for the last 3 years due to being housebound right now due to illness so thanks for your videos 🙏 loved the snow effect by the way

Commented on your Whitby fish and chips video a few weeks back. In August we were in Yorkshire and absolutely loved York. York Ghost merchants was the only shop I was desperate to go into and it was closed, I was gutted!! no ghost for me :(

Best Christmas market was Lincoln with the highlight been going to a candlight choir in the cathedral. You should visit Chatsworth House in Derbyshire at Christmas. Every year is a different theme. The year I went was a nutcracker theme and a ballerina was dancing around the house. Such effort is put into the decorations and each room has the wow factor.
The leather goblets and beer mugs/steins look like something from mid evil days, something you'd see from in a castle in days of king Arthur and the knights of the round table. Love the Christmas markets

The do a amazing kangaroo burger , think they do world food Christmas market 1st then 2 weeks befor Xmas they do the gifts
They also do a drinks hub where you can hire them out for a few hours with friends

You should Tim visit with family Stratford upon Avon Magic Alley The all round Christmas decorations shop and the stratford upon Avon Victorian Christmas Market for 2023 Christmas. Plus the Stratford Sweet Shop witch is pretty nice. A walk down by the river is really nice in winter months or summer months too.

Definitely a great market, particularly with, as you mentioned, such a wide range of unique items which are available to purchase. Liked the leather mugs and the Christmas jumper decoration. I could imagine a little Thumps wearing it!

We got engaged in York down the shambles in a Greek restaurant candle lit it was so romantic we love the white rose of Yorkshire city

Blenhiem Palace you have to do sometime and should be top of your list of places to visit nothing compares to it.
Loved the video - we spent a few days in York last Christmas and had the most magical festive time. The potions cauldron was doing some sort of mulled wine that is the best I’ve tried. Hoping to visit again this year as it’s not far for us.
