Yeah uh this duel was weird af in the actual show. btw Cornelius was the name of Marik's dad's pet snake, Tristan and Joey killed Cornelius Jr in one of the previous episodes in the desert, and now Dartz summoned this magic snake cornelius, so clearly their's some snake canon in Little kurriboh's abridged series that needs to be unraveled lol

For those who dont if kiaba had fusion card on the field and yugi brought out black luster soldier onto the field if he had them in his hand he could actually make the ultimate dragon champion since it was made using his teammates monster and knowing kaiba he would add tyrant wings or something for a power boost
Fusion summoning a fusion monster with another monster has existed since the dawn of the actual tcg so it's always been a thing though it probably wasn't a thing in the US until 1 or 2 years later

This was a really great episode, even though the cardgame stuff was bullshit. Dartz apparently has a field card that can only be played if there's a specific field card in play, and one that can only be played if THAT is in play. The Legend of Heart card lets you indeed summon all three Legendary Knights if you banish the matching Legendary Dragon spell cards from your hand/GY, but you also need to tribute a Warrior monster so this is nigh impossible to pull off. And yes, Dartz' snake monster does exist in the game as of last month(!): it is the Divine Serpent Geh. but instead of infinite Attack points it can half the Attack and negate the effects of any monster it attacks, and it can also give itself an Attack equal to the highest monster on the field. Oh, and to summon it one of your monsters has to be destroyed after which you have to pay half your Life Points. It could give itself infinite Attack, but only if it attacks or is attacked by a monster with infinite Attack. That means that dealing with it is actually pretty easy: if you have the monster with the highest Attack on the field throw it at the Serpent and it dies.
To be fair, looking at this duel as a kid was really great. But I understand it's still bullshit XD
But to be fair, fusion knight could actually have more than infinite atk. It has infinite atk and floats, which is more than gehs infinite atk and nothing. The same way blue eyes only has 3000 atk, while beelzeus has 3000 atk, is indestructible and gets zenkai boosts.
Actually... pulling off Legendary of Hearts, with the right deck, would be a piece of cake. You'd just need to send the right cards from your deck to the graveyard (quite a few cards you can use for that), and have 5 or 6 good warrior type monsters in your deck (plenty to choose from). The only thing that would be a bit difficult is getting the card in your hand, but I believe there's also a few cards that might make that possible.
And you'd have three 2800ATK monsters with effects that can, for lack of a better way of saying it, fuck your opponents shit up.
But you forget that the Legend of Heart Card was invented like 2016 or so in the real Card Game and the Card and its effect is from an tv show from 2000 xD

This was pure brilliance, but, as a yugioh player I call bullcrap not because the cards are OP (cuz they're really not), but, because had the show used the cards actual effects than yugi still would have beat Dartz. By that point in the duel yugi had activated Relay Soul and brought out Dark Magician Girl while Dartz put all his chips in on "Cornelius" (aka Divine Serpent). That snake did indeed have infinite attack points, but, Dartz had to toss ten cards from his deck to his graveyard just to attack (so the number of attacks he'd have are pretty limited). Yugi could have stalled him out, but, if you wanted to write yugi a proper win then this is how it could have went.
1)Use legend of heart to bring out the three knights.
2)Use knight Timaeus's effect to fuse the three knights to form timaeus knight of destiny (it's a real card and that is legendary knight timaeus's actual effect.)
3)Divine Knight Timaues's effect activates when it hits board and his attack points become the same as the monster with the highest attack on the board. Since in this situation that would have been Divine Serpent then Divine Knight Timaues would have had infinite attack strength as well.
4) Divine Knight attacks divine serpent, destroying both. At this point yugi would have won since yugi's relay soul trap tied his life to dark magician giel who was safe in this whole sequence. Dartz tied his life to Divine Serpoent and since monsters with similar attack destroy each other if they do battle while both are in attack mode then Dartz would lose his life line and therefore the game.
Had life points been an issue though:
5) Divine Knights second ability activates when destroyed by battle, resummoning all three legendary knights used to fusion summon that card back from the graveyard during the battle phase which would have allowed yugi to attack directly with three 2800 ATK monsters for 8400 points of damage.
They didn't need to make it a contrived win when the proper effects of the kights would have won yugi the duel in a way that, i believe (and i think i could argue it), would have been more satisfying from a game mechanics and storytelling standpoint.
Btw, that sequence of events is one i managed to pull off with a legendary knight deck against a stardust dragon (or some other monster) that had it's points buffed past 5500 ATK. It was the only thing on board at that point and it was a long, grueling duel. So to get the win that way after everything else in my deck had been thrown at the opponent was oh so satisfying.
Also, could not stop laughing from start to finish. Such a hilarious episode!

That is completely wrong. Just because the anime has been dubbed in a different language does not magically mean the company who made it doesn't own the rights to it anymore. It's not as if it's an entirely different show, it's the same show just with different voice actors and since it's dubbed by 4kids, a very different script. Same rights owners though, just add 4Kids to the list.

Yeah.. The Legendary Dragon and Seal of Orichalcos cards (in the anime) are OP as fuck. In the actual game the ones that have actually been made were heavily nerfed to not only have less broken effects, but also hard as balls to activate. But that's only the ones that have been made, which is basically just the Seal, Dragons, and Knights I think.

it was?..what makes it different from most of the duels...asspull one shot card deus ex machina at the last second to win for atem...the only finales to duels i liked were the ones of atem vs pegasus and yami marik ..those 2endings were great

The threes dragon joey, kaiba, and Yugi used this season spell monsters that can fused with special cards. Kaiba if I remember can fuse with trap cards and the others I forgot maybe one fuses with spell cards though I can’t remember.
Yugi's fuses with monsters to being broken, Joey's fuses with monsters to form equip spell card(in the actual game more like union monster that work on anything and Kaiba is yeah Trap cards
Next is the season 4 finale/flashback episode then season 5 will start.....with another filler arc till we finally get to see bakara as main villain

So the card he called thief shipping is actually called relay soul and its pretty interesting, what it does is it special summons a monster to your side of the field and as long as its on the field ypi take no damage and if it leaves the field you lose the duel
If you think fusing and already fused monster is wierd, the old Fusion Monster Fusionist(a cat with wings) is actually WEAKER than one of its materials, and doesnt have an effect.

That's actually kind of accurate to the trading card game. Mirror force dragon is created by having the mirror force card in your backrow or hand and 'fusing' it with critias
Actually if either one of them brought out a the creator in exchange for one card in their hand they can special summon anything from the grave yard even cards used as fusion material meaning use it twice and use and use another fusion thats 2 ultimate dragon champions and yugi could pull out slypher and obelisk so lets do the math here 4500x2 plus every dragon in the graveyard giving it a boost then theres 2 gods then they could with luck they could get out the god of gods by using obelisk to absorb one dragon champion ditch a card resummon it breakout ra it and well fuse all the gods power then play the magic card allowing u to summon all 3 Atlantian knights so literally beyond unlimited power
Cause fusing the gods is a insta win if u call an attack so ya its literally possible to have more than one insta win monster out but as long as u dont attack u can set up several insta wins exodia , the creator of light and a few others
