You are holding it the correct way why do they say hold it the other way has got me absolutely flabbergasted
Orange is the deal tater!🎯
Thanks bro, great video 👍 I Ordered one yesterday,I already have a Sparrow from Simpleshot,,which I love, but I've been shooting looped band's just lately, with a cheap traditional Chinese slingshot,so decided to get a better frame for it,and the Torque is the one I've chose! Can't wait to go for a shoot with it!
Right on Tater! You are gonna love it! 👊
Pretty nice
again a great video brother👏 and thanks for the tip with the bears🤣👍
😂! The bear trick really did work! Thanks for stopping in brother! I appreciate you!👊
Nice slingshot one of my favorite.
Right on!!!🙏👊
Hahahaha Hey....I recognized that Dude hahaha.....Great Video as Always Brother....Boomlicious
Thanks brother! 👊😂🍺
Danny and I laughed so hard when he showed that clip 🤣
Awesome!
Thanks brother!👊🙏
AWESOME video, Tater, cant wait for the next vid.
Thanks brother! Appreciate you!🙏👊
Glad to see this after the discussion in one of the groups on fb the other day
Thanks brother! 👊🙏
The orange is more accurate lol....that was awesome.
Thanks Tater! 👊😂
What's up my Tator.
I hammered a few rabbit heads with this one…. I like it. 23/18 .7 yellow sniper sling 😎🔥
Right on brother! 👊🙏
I shoot 22 to 14 as well except it's 290mm long for butterfly. With .5 simpleshot I get about 285fps or faster with a quick release. Great video as always and good shooting brother. The Torque is a classic and one of the best.
Thanks brother! I appreciate your feedback! One day I am going to try full butterfly! Appreciate you! 👊
@@canvandal4503 I'm putting together a video on shooting butterfly. It will probably be 2 videos. I shoot very unconventional but it still may help others get into it, I hope. 🤣👊
Thanks for the nice video, Bro!
Thanks brother!👊
Orange is the new Black
Right on!🤣👊🙏
Copied the frame at 85%, made myself one of a. Oak shelf. You convinced me how to hold it. Greetings Flanders Belgium EU
Right on brother!👊🙏
Loved it man!🙂 Such a fun frame. I just recently got the clips. I’ve got a Scout XT and Hammer on the way and I’m super pumped to shoot and review! I hadn’t gotten around to the upside down pose yet 😂. Great content brother. Shooting spinners is beast mode level haha
Thanks brother! Yeah it’s a brilliant frame! And the ones you’ve got coming man, you’re gonna love them! Looking forward to your reviews! 👊🙏
@@canvandal4503 thank you bro! You do some great work on here buddy. May have to reach out for some pointers haha
My favourite sling shot in my collection, It's funny, when I started I got the torque and the scout LT, and oddly enough I was far more consistent with the torque! Also it fits in your pocket really well. Good review man! I kinda want a orange one now lol.
Right on brother! I tell everybody that the Torque is one of the most underrated slingshots out there! It is definitely one of my top shooters! And yeah brother, you gotta get your orange one!🤣🙏👊
Nice! I've been using this frame with 25-18 yellow Snipersling 0.70mm for a few months now. Perhaps if I had an orange model I would have improved much faster haha! Awesome and informative as always man!
😂! That’s right, the orange is more accurate!😂 Thanks for stopping in brother! Appreciate you!👊🙏
Looks good. I like wide fork tips too. Nice place to shoot 😎👊
Thanks brother! Yeah, the park is awesome! 👊🙏
There's a family of bears i'm trying to photograph...😳... Now that's funny...🤣👍... I'll remember that one...👍... Just bought a torque and i'm setting it up for quarter inch... We'll see...
😂! The Torque is such a fun shooter! Let me know how it works out with the 1/4 set up! Appreciate you!👊🙏
Great reviews better get one after Christmas
Definitely one of my go to frames! Thanks for stopping by! 👊🙏
Very nice ,,,,and good shooting mate,,,👍👍🍺🍺
Well I appreciate that brother! Thanks for stopping in! 🍺🇬🇧🇺🇸

Great stuff, I need to get a Torque.
Yeah, you need another frame! 😂 I’m curious to see how you’d like it. Thanks for stopping in brother! 👊
Good video with great shooting 👏
Torque is only "normal" OTT frame, that I have had fork hits without any reason.
Sorry to hear about the fork hits. Did you figure what was happening?😮
I don't own the torque, but hear me out.
I'm with you on the upside down.
I always shoot low with my Ocularis at first. Because I'm trying to keep the shooting device downwards, away from my eye level. I eventually correct it but I can see where shooting this frame upside down helps with my particular problem.
The torque, upside down, keeps your wrist, palm and fingers low (I could've said "hand" but whatever) and it gives the shooter a sense of security, knowing that the hand is low but the actual shooting platform is higher, so your hand doesn't have to be as much in line with the eye.
I get and I buy it. And I will next :)
I'm waiting on a Uniphoxx Enzo and a Wasp Devil to arrive.
But i promise you sir, the next slingshot I buy will be the Torque, because of your video.
Right on brother! ThNks for the feedback! 👊🙏
Nice shooting! Looks more like UT orange though!😉
Yes sir! Go VOLS!!!😂👊
Orange is more accurate, but red is faster.
🤣Right on!🤣
great video, I prefer wide fork tips, you can choose from a wide rubber thickness variety for different purposes ... enjoyed a lot, thanks for sharing
That’s the truth! The Torque tips are huge!!! Thanks for watching brother!👊🙏
I started using it the normal way but I put my clips on the wrong direction yesterday by accident and yeah, it feels better in an upside down position. To me it feels like it allows my hand and arm to support the draw weight of the bands better. I’m shooting a 25-15mm taper (short draw) and it feels solid. Feels like it works pretty well for everything up to about 7/16 steel. 5/16 freaking zips!! (I’m using a bit softer draw band at the moment. Precise 3rd gen .5) (Sorry SS, much love 👊, I’ll try yours this evening 😬)
That was almost my experience verbatim. I discovered it accidentally. Thanks for sharing!👊🙏
@@canvandal4503 haha you bet man. That’s what brought me here. I was looking up how you’re supposed to hold the dang thing. Thought maybe I had it backwards from day one and finally flipped it the right way. That’s how much better it felt 😂. Nope, just a happy little accident. I’ll take it!
Are you going to East Coast Slingshot Tournament in Alverton, PA this weekend?
No. My daughter is graduating that weekend. I hate I can’t make it but she only graduates once. 😆👊
Would you say over the top is more likely to give you a return to sender then through the fork ?
That’s a great question. Fork hits are the result of bad form. I don’t believe one orientation is more susceptible. With good form a frame hit can be avoided on either.
In my own experience, the torque performs far better with looped tubes, i tried bands and clips once but seemed to always hit high, I much prefer 1636 looped tubes with 8mm steel
Yeah that’s the good thing about the Torque... It works great with either bands or tubes. I need to shoot tubes on it a little more. I might break some out this evening. Thanks for the feedback brother! You’ve inspired me!👊
@@canvandal4503 just my personal preference, I always understood tubes to be inaccurate in comparison to flats until I tried them, I seem to be more consistent with the torque/tube set up than any of my others, great video BTW👍
@@neilclaydon2038 thanks brother! Cool to hear your perspective!
I tried it and didn't like it at all but I do agree it's way more comfortable "the wrong way". Well done video brother 👏👊🥃
Hey brother! Yes, it is definitely an acquired taste. Thanks brother for the feedback!👊🍺🙏
Do you sell it ?
Which one you like more looped tube or flat band?
Brother I’m gonna have to go with flat bands.🙏👊
I've never held a torque, early on it was the model I used for my first board cuts. I ended up with a passing resemblance to a torque, but definitely not a copy by any stretch of the imagination. I suppose mine is closest to the torque "upside down" My top fork tip is a good inch or more above the knuckle of my index finger on fork hand. Once I learned to adjust my anchor, I found it provides a very clear forward aim point. In terms of drawing and fire quickly, I'm the most accurate with that sight picture.
That is awesome brother! Thanks for sharing!👊
What Park were you at it looked a little like Umstead?
Sorry I have not answered you yet. Your comment didn’t appear on the video in CZcams but only in my CZcams studio. The park is De Hart Botanical Gardens.
If I put wide taper bands on a slingshot does that give me more power.
This is an old video I made that may answer the question. Give it a watch, and if it doesn’t feel free to ask me any specific questions you have.czcams.com/video/gxHyJf6RFx8/video.htmlsi=DqYDOBjuRjDJfuea
As advertised..... I must be a noodle head!;). Mine is green..... Must be why I miss occasionally.
🤣! Now that’s funny!!! Thanks for stopping in!👊😆
It's funny but I just had my own Torque out to shoot just now for the first time in months. I have it banded up with SS 0.5mm 25-14 and shoot 3/8" ammo. I put a nifty paracord wrap on the handle that some CZcamsr did a DIY video on a couple of years back. I like all of Mark Seljan's designs and I'm in the process of reproducing some of his natural frames. I shoot mine upside down too, but I'm not very smart.
That’s awesome brother! 👊🙏
Awesome shooting bro! And I might get one!
I think you will really like it. Thanks for stopping in brother!👊🙏
@@canvandal4503 Welcome, bro and does the Torque come in TTF?
@@slingshotwarrrior8105 No. It is only OTT.
@@canvandal4503 Hmm I would prefer TTF?
@@slingshotwarrrior8105 have you tried the Scout XT? It shoots either way.
Yo, we both shoot on the left. Are you left or right handed? I'm right handed but hold with my right.
I am right handed but left eye dominate. So I am a right hand holder!
I am a new shooter and I have no idea what a taper is.
I own 3 slingshots, a scout LT, a torque and a cheap $10 sling shut off for Amazon. Oddly enough I shoot the torque upside down Because it feels more comfortable that way. I am a left-handed person that happens to shoot right handed. Perhaps that has something to do with me shooting it upside down. If you can make a video going more in depth about tapers then I would appreciate it.
Right on brother!🙏👊
Absolutely! Thanks for the comment! That is wild how you to shoot the torque upside down! I’ll definitely get to working on some videos!
Everyone has a "right" to an opinion but you aren't obligated to recognize it!
I was thinking about buying one, but OTT is nothing for me
I totally understand. 0TT is not for everyone. Thanks for stopping in brother! Appreciate you!
Torque was the first slingshot l purchased from Simple Shot. I got it in black, a mistake as shooting with black bands causes some difficulty. I purchased an orange ocularis for this reason. At the moment my torque has 1632 looped tubes and they send 3/8 steel balls flying in full butterfly. Did suffer some frame hits in the beginning but l am fine now. And one more thing, it l buy another torque, it will be orange😄😄😄
I definitely prefer the orange! Thanks for the input brother! 👊🙏
What bag was that?
It is a Condor Rover pack. I’ve had it for 15+ years. Really great pack!
Really weird 'cuz I've known about the Torque since it came out. Yesterday afternoon, I was looking at the Torque. Actually if you go where the pictures are of it before purchase, scroll over until you see them grip it. They're holding it "handle low side". Notice the gap shape, one side drops lower with regards to which side the handle is laying in hand in picture. Its what detered from buying it but, 😃☺🙃☺🙃😁i didn't give it a thought of flipping it over👍🛒👀 I want the Scout LT in blk 1st, since I'm accurate w Scout XT. I like the Tater. Q: is the texture on the Tater (in a thumb supported grip,) is there texture where the thumb sits? I've wrist surgery, a steel screw in wrist. With Scouts they have the thumb curve cut shape. Is there a hole for lanyard on end of Tater frame?
Man...I might just order that Tater. Rolling up bands, sliding 'em in frame. Do you notice any band breakage at them points?
Thx for sharing!👍👀
Thanks for the feedback brother! As far as the Tater goes it is about as basic as you can get. That is the appeal to me. There may be a little texture for your thumb if you grip it that way but not much, and I do believe mine has a hole for a lanyard. As far as the scout LT goes, it is my all-time favorite frame! I would definitely pick one up! Thanks again for stopping by brother! 👊🙏
Also as far as the Tator I haven’t shot it enough to really answer about band breakage. It hasn’t so far.
Great vid, as usual. I shoot my torques as advertised
Awesomeness! I really appreciate your feedback! 👊🙏
That looks pretty far how many yards is it my man.
Hey Tater! Well, that video was one of my older ones and to be quite honest I don’t know exactly. If I had to guess it was about 15 -20 yards.
@@canvandal4503 right on my tater tot.
