Thank you for continuing to produce interesting videos! The EL-9000 and EL-5200 (same) are beautiful and quirky little machines that are quite capable for their time. It seems the Casio fx-7000 sucked all the oxygen away from lesser known brands that sometimes produce very interesting machines. My only complaint is that graphing is a bit slow and the screen is half the size of the fx-7000. But in return the EL-9000 has more features and more memory to do useful things with. And who can't resist showing off a "Super Scientific" calculator?
For me, the downside of that folding form factor is that (I presume) you probably wouldn’t want to fold the flap all the way to the back, to not stress the connections between the two halves - so you end up having a large(r) unit sitting on top of your documents. Also it’s not quite as ergonomic to just grab and move around because of the „flappy“ bit. I have a similar feeling about „landscape“ versus „upright“ calculators, that the „upright“ ones feel like they take up less space and fit in better. (probably because we write horizontally?)

So what is the difference between the EL-9000 and the EL-5200? They look to be the same calculator.
I can’t find the reference now but I read somewhere the EL-5200 was European version. Maybe someone can confirm?
