So sorry to hear this buddy. Your channel (and watching your amazing adventures) was one of the big reasons that I bought my Interceptor in January. You’re an inspiration and you’ve brought me so much joy. Sending you best wishes and hope that you can get back on two wheels soon. If you’re ever on the South Coast (Worthing specifically) then drop me a message and we can go for a ride.
Thank you very much James, I really appreciate your kinds words. Hope you’re enjoying the interceptor on the beautiful roads of South Coast. I actually never have been to Worthing so will definitely let you know once I’m back on a two wheeler 🙏🏍
Hey Man!! I really feel for you, those little F*@#ers should be held accountable but they probably won't be. One thing that you might consider is negotiating with the insurance company if they decide to write it off is let you keep your gas tank and then possibly remount it on your new ride if it's another GT. That way at least you'll have a piece of your old bike and the memories associated with it. good Luck, keep us posted!!
Thank you man, I have already got the bike back and started the restoration process, can not wait to have her back on the road again! Thanks for the message, I really appreciate it 🙏
Learn to fight back. If the guy literally within your reach knock him down. These guys normally run when they see their mate down. I had 2 motorbike stolen and I feel your pain.
What a heartbreak! I don't understand people to steal like this...and over here at least, getting caught has very little consequence. My own thoughts here, being a diver you know as well as anyone the damage done by corrosion from water submersion. Especially in the long term long after the insurance company has closed the claim. If it was just dents and scratches, that can be successfully fixed. I'm assuming that it was salt water? Regardless, I hope insurance does you right. Although you had some great customizations on the bike, you may have a new opportunity to do some other customizations. I hate it when bad things happen to good people. All the best!
Thank you for the message Joanne, I appreciate that. It’s heartbreaking but fortunately the engine seems to be ok and rest is cosmetics, I will do my best to restore the bike and bring it back to her former glory. 🙏🏍
That’s awful news. I feel for you. You’re right owning a bike is so much more than the machine. These people have no idea of the damage they do. You’ve done so much on that bike! Glad you’re ok, the situation could have been worse. Hope you get it sorted quickly 🙂
Sorry to hear that….yes a lot of crime unfortunately in both Manchester and Liverpool as remember. It probably best that the insurance pay for a new bike where you can have a shop put all extra accessories on the bike. Even if you ave to travel to other parts of the UK to get someone to build the new bike. I’ve seen and viewed CZcams videos of bike shops customizing the Enfield.
what a total waste, very sorry to hear your sad news, I too have watch all your videos and traded in my Triumph Tiver for a Continental and Himalayan inspire by your riding chanel. Your right to not get bitter about it, just move on and replace the bike and start a new adventure.
Thank you very much Chris, I really appreciate your message. I think you have one of the most perfect two bike collections, I love the Himalayan, a characterful and honest motorcycle! ride safe 🙏🏍
So sorry to see and hear all these. I ride the exact same model here in India, and seeing all these broke my heart. But I am glad that you have restored the motorcycle and I hope it is working like it should be. Stay safe and ride safe. Cheers.
Thank you very much I really appreciate that. It was really heart breaking and difficult for me but I’m glad the bike is restored and looks better than ever. Also a reminder of RE solid engine reliability that despite of being flooded, it runs and performs as good as ever. Ride safe and enjoy the GT🙏🏍
