I wish they could get a proper Knight Rider movie (or tv show)off the ground. I love the idea that Michael Knight would be the new president of the Knight Foundation. This Tesla KITT is pretty awesome. It’s the wheels, the paint job and the red scanner that makes KITT stand out. Who would voice KITT, and who would take Michael’s place behind the wheel? I don’t think anyone could pull it off.
@@-taz- Sure, but with only half a season, and the car not being a true character, there is not much nostalgia for it. Also, I don't remember the car being put into crazy action scenes. There has not been emotional attachment from the audience to the car (an LP 400). But there is nostalgia for others that are re not characters : Ghostbusters' Ecto-1, Batmobile (TV's series and Burton), Outatime DeLorean, the A-Team's GMC Vandura, Starsky & Hutch, The Fall Guy's GMC K2500 Sierra Grande, The Duke's General Lee Dodge Charger, Hardcastle and McCormick's Coyote (inspired by the McLaren M6A). Still KITT is unique, and possibly the one with the most nostalgia of them all, as it was a character ... a witty character :)

i get a little tearful when i see the return to original location segments as it reminds me of my childhood which i think we all have fond memories of.
I was fortunate enough to meet the Hoff twice growing up in Hawaii. Once was when they were filming portions of the pilot episode of “BayWatch” (they had to film the underwater scenes in Hawaii instead of California, I assume because the water was warmer, and they used Makai Pier which my dad owned an engineering company on, and I was able to meet the Hoff while they were filming). The second time I met him was years later when they were using the same pier for an episode of “BayWatch Hawaii”. Very friendly guy.
I just found the raffle and got a ticket.. love this and since trying to make a car I bought 3 years ago, well had enough.. and this, you made an amazing car, and perfect KITT ... Love all what you have done to the KITTesla, and just amazing.. and like one actor in the show, '' it does look like a spaceship'' Amazing.. gosh.. always loved KITT and the show, watched so many times and this car is just as the real KITT.. Half the revenue of the tickets if not enough are sold, and he keeps the car. So if 19,999 tickets are sold, Peri pockets ~$56,000 and keeps the car. If it turns out this is a super-popular raffle, and 40,000 tickets are sold, Peri will be clearing over $200,000 for the car.

KITTesla looks amazing. You done a good job keeping the dream of Knight Rider alive. I’m 52 now and I grew up watching the series when it was first aired in the U.K. in 1982. It’s a shame General Motors hasn’t come up with a modern day successor to the original Pontiac Trans Am. Whereas manufacturers like Porsche have cleverly rehashed the original 911 to look like a modern day Porsche but still looks just as good as the original. Not an easy task to achieve though.
It’s like the science fiction can now be a reality. You’ve done an amazing job. Also what are the sunglasses you’re wearing they have a cool retro vibe to them.
A loooong time ago, as a conservationist working for the USDI - Bureau of Land Management, I designed, surveyed, and did the environmental clearances on the perimeter fence at the El Mirage OHV area. More than a few movies and TV shows the have been filmed there.

I wanted a KITT big wheel. I had a Green Machine Big Wheel. My Father bought a new car back then and to this day my Father still laughs about me asking him to take to the Car Dealership to trade it my Green Machine for a KiTT Big Wheel. I had BIG Dreams back then haha! Every car I get now is all black exterior... with the exception of a Black and Red car I had.

Very nicely finished off. Great job. I didn't even realise how "grey" it was before the wrap. I knew it wasn't black but still looked ok. Love what you've done with the car. Also as someone who is, shall we say "EV hesitant", I enjoyed listening to your counterpoints.
It has been an honor and a privilege to watch this project evolve from the very beginning and watching it now ending. We really need to put Tesla's tech into a Trans Am. When I got my model 3 back in 2019, black was the default colour. I had to pay about £1500 extra to get grey. I really hope you didn't upgrade the paint to grey only to pay for a black wrap.
Imagine Kit Tesla driving in the highway and suddenly car stops and starts opening and closing doors, hood and trunk repeatedly and a loud voice coming from the car says “that was a big fart Kit!”😅
A great ending, but also a bit sad, but it has been a nice walk down memory lane. Even if alot of my Knight Rider memories are now being mixed up in my head with a fractic stand in.

Always good to see David. Only criticism about the action scene recreation: Need a bigger belt buckle. The belt buckle was as much a part of the Knight Rider team as was David and KITT. Great job with the car! It's been fun watching the vision come to reality.

Really depends on how your area produces electricity, many areas still run coal plants, and there is also the fact that at the end of battery life you have to add in the battery production again. However, battery production is getting better and better so who knows by the time you have to replace them the first time it may be much less. Personally I think they are about the same, a propane or natural gas burning engine however can be tuned to emissions of 0, and a hydrogen burner is naturally no pollution. The biggest upside I see to EV’s is maintenance and much less reliance on oil. That in itself is a huge win. Now if we can only make a long haul 18 wheeler we would really be getting somewhere. FYI the Tesla truck is not long haul…. Yet

Less electric cars burn than gas cars? True. Tell me more about context: How many gas cars are there? How many electric cars? How old are they? What's their maintenance history? What are the consequences once the fire has started?
@@reibax In the video I clearly detailed that the fire data is comparing 100K gas to 100K EV cars. Therefore your "How many" is already answered. You are welcome to research answers to your other questions. We can agree to disagree about which car we personally prefer :)
