- Conan and Matt Gourley think that not everyone is great at swearing, but agree that Sona is exceptional.

Göt lalesi, "Ass tulip" is also one of poetic insults in turkish.
One of my faves
And it is gender friendly 😂
As a Turkish person, hearing a non-native Turkish speaker cursing is the most hilarious thing ever.
she's armenian so she might as well be a native speaker
@@elmasmelihher accent gives that she is not native, but yeah lots of armenians are native in Turkish

As a Turkish person who loves this podcast for a long time, I never would've imagined that I would hear "babanın canına sıçayım" on this podcast at some point. I feel proud for some reason😃
Same here... :)
Adamlar resmen "babanın canına sıçayım" küfürünü detaylı bir şekilde yorumladı. Conan'ın podcastinde bile as bayrakları moment yaşamak...
"babanın şarap çanağına sıçayım" dedi diye anladım ama dediğin gibi çevirdi ve öyle yorumladılar. o da değişik oldu tabii
@@dr.hakansahin, gurur duydugun seye bak gururunu arttirmak icin yabanci birini bulayim sana kallavi bir kufur sallasin ister misin?
We gotta be proud of something. Swear words? Sure why not :D
As a Turkish person It is so funny to listen this haha, and Turkish swear words usually tends to be “poetic and visual” like Gourley described haha
Visual real
sounds mothermucker in Turkish is not so poetic though hahaha
as a turkish person i would say they tend to be "shallow and degenerate"
8:07 where Turkish swear words conv begins

Thank you 😂
TEŞEKKURLER
And miss the sandpaper baby?
No thanks, I love all of their banter always
Matt Gourley is a shining example of the consequences of ungoverned “yes and.”
this is proof that matt is a robot

Sona's Turkish curse words are amazing.
Sona's -Turkish curse words are- amazing.
FTFY.
That sounds like it's from the Crusades when Christian marauders would come to fight Turks and often die there. So their fathers grave was nearby, where the Muslim heathen can poop on it.
Disrespecting graves no matter what religion it is, is HIGHLY Forbidden in Islam@@handsomejonny6211

"You're just a big sandpaper baby who's got little feet and don't even know who cheek people are" took me out 😂 had to play this part 10x
This is SO FUNNY
It’s just a string of words he put together it’s not really a joke but it’s funny because it’s pure nonsense lol
It was the second time I ever legit spit out a drink in my life, and it got all over the bed 😅
@@AtticusFinch448 English not being your first language doesn't matter in this case. It's the same jibberish to you as it is to us -- hilarious :)
I’m Hungarian and we also swear in full sentences which makes it more epic and hilarious 😂
Atilla 🤝 Attila 🇹🇷❤️🇭🇺
You know Turks and Hungarians have relation 🙂👍
I’m Turkish, and these are curse words popular in the 80s, really nostalgic to hear.
80s? what are you talking about, curse words dont have a time frame. unless you mean generational popularity
@@siangoodwater Excuse the inaccuracy in my statement. I meant curse words that were highly popular back then. Fixed the comment. Thank you for pointing it out!
Carisikancamir kapyala what that mean in english
@@JxnggukkkNone of those are words, I think you should recheck if you misspelled it. "Kopyala" means "copy" but again, "kapyala" isn't a thing and the rest is just meaningless. Where'd you hear that from?
You guys can't imagine how innovative the Turkish language gets when it comes to curse. Cursing in Turkish and speaking normally are so integrated into each other like php and html in programming :)
Which one represents Turkish; php or html? :))
"Cursing in Turkish and speaking normally are so integrated into each other" If you're from a bad family.
"Go buy some lips, you reach arounder." That is misunderstood genius.
I implore any fans of Matt to listen to the Superego podcast where his madness is unchecked and it leads to incredible things.
I watched this very late at night, and that line made me laugh so loud that I thought I was going to wake up the other people in my house. I can't believe it didn't get more of a reaction in the video.
I don't get it
This is absolutely a Don Rickles insult
@@pats.7756 There's nothing to get. It's just a funny sounding nonsense insult. What's magic is it ALMOST sounds like something. It's sensible gibberish.
If you liked "babanın canı" wait until you hear about "babanın şarap çanağı".
I love Sona going “you’re right” when Conan says she’s confusing Irish people with pirates
My grandmother always says “Canına köpekler işesin.” which means “May dogs pee on your soul.” And also for like a polite way to swear she would say things like “Ben senin sülaleni sinemaya götüreyim de getireyim.” Which means “I’ll take your whole family to the movies and back.” It’s always so funny to hear new curses in turkish and Nines’ (grandmothers) always have the best ones 😂
I never thought I would be happy to hear Turkish swearing in a broadcast:) I have known Sona for years thanks to Conan O'brein and I liked her from the first moment I saw her. I know that she is of Armenian origin and that may be why I feel close to her. Even though there are problems between us now, we Turks and Armenians have lived together for many years in history. Our food, our traditions, our swearing have influenced each other and made us richer. That's why I was happy to hear these curses today:) Love to Sona and team coco from Istanbul❤
"Hay babanın canına sıçayım"
The way she said that sounds like a northern accent, Black Sea(Karadeniz) region from Turkey. It's an interesting place with people with reasonless anger :D
Kinda similar to Scotland imo, which explains why they using a similar backpipe insturment("Tulum" in Turkish) in that region.
One time my mom’s car broke down in the middle of a busy four-way intersection, and someone honked at her like there was anything she could do about it, and in all her frustration and fury she yelled HEY, LADY!
“I have a problem!” That’s the first step, Matt.
i've been following Conan for years, finally my people are represented. I'm honoured
She's Armenian though...
Welcome Cheek People.

@@Snaakie83 Just like Cher! 😊
Tiny penis represent!!
My mother-in-law used to say “son of a biscuit box maker” when she got angry but after she had dementia she swore like a stevedore. It made us all laugh through those tough years.
🤣🤣🤣
Turkish swears are very creative and fun to say lol. Also, I recommend checking out Turkish proverbs.
As funny as "Big baby" was, I would have died if he called Sona his "Big daddy" lmao
Conan should come to Turkey and discover the depth and beauty of Turkish swearing.
"She's gone to a better place.....THE WATER SALINIZATION PLANT!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
She's gone to a better place - FLUSH...
Which of course makes no sense. Who salinates water? 😅
she is so fluent with those swear words, i can listen to her curse in turkish for hours
This is my favorite thing to watch on CZcams. Always guaranteed a laugh.
100%!!!
I second that 🤚
@acerjuglans383 why isn't Sona part of the interviews?
@@paulsmith9192 huh?
"Oh, Moses" is a wonderful forlorn curse.
Brilliant turkish performance Sona, like you more for that, braavaaaa! 😂
Literally these three are comedic soulmates and this podcast is years in the making for the stars to align in just the right way for me to be alive for this
"Go buy some lips, you reach around"
Omg... I literally laughed for 3 minutes straight at that
This is the hardest I have ever laughed during this podcast. "you don't even know who cheek people are" 😂
Sonia's performance start at 8:15
Wanna hear more poetic turkish Swaer Words from Sona :D
Conan izleyen türkleri seviyorum
Küfür konusunda yetenekli değil bence.Küfür doğal olmalı belki de.
0:18 Conan adopting Sona mannerism 🤩
really subtle bit great find
These three are so perfect together
I was amazed of Conans quality keeping the podcast together after the Turkish swear words but, that he went back to his irish households way of swearing. Kinda calming the mood but still a funny story and it keept the podcasts going ❤. Man I love Conan
“Go buy some lips you reach-around!”
He actually said “go BUY some lips” which makes it even funnier! Watched it twice haha
Just to let you know as a Turkish person, things Sonya said are just beginner level of curse words in Turkish.
Let me tell you, Turkish is the BEST language when it comes to cursing :D
(Also as someone who learned English thanks to Conan, I'm dying to see a Conan Without Borders episode in Turkiye.)
I'm so happy they showed the Conan's punch before the recording 😂
I don't think I'd ever laugh without this podcast. The laughs are so potent that they even get through to my negative nancy-ass. Thanks you 3
Finally a medium where I can find other Turkish CONAN fans, we need a visit by the man himself!
"sometimes I start speaking before I was headed!". That hilarious 😆
I love the "replay" while narrating. Great editing, Matt. Please do more of those. And don't worry, some of us got the Tequila bottle penis joke, though the drink is Mezcal.
PS: connected closets is a horrifying concept.
Conan’s childish and older brother slap 😅
My brother and I had these in our house too. And it's as awful as it sounds.
I re-listened to this bit on the podcast at least a dozen times.
This is gold😂 you made my day😂😂
I love you guys since the old days, much love and greetings from turkey
Omg I never curse but hearing these was golden 😅 I love when cruse words are graphic AND poetic and we have that a lot in Turkish
As a Turkish Litreture Graduated (Turkology) Fan of Conan & Sona, let me explain. “Eşşoğlueşşek” (eşşek oğlu eşşek) means “donkey’s son donkey” and its a little bit light swear. Maybe you can ask for it Cenk Uygur…And Yes, Conan’s father should not a Turkish Man, but i am sure his older roots ate Turkish food at 1800s. Thanks for content, loves from Istanbul - Turkey 😂😅
its been obvious for a long time Sona and Conan have sibling energy, but seeing them taking physical shots at each other is just too funny
"Oh no I just flushed grandma!" Gourley is hilarious!
That room just looks like so much fun
"You're just a big sandpaper baby whose got little feet and don't even know who cheek people are"
This is my new go-to when bullies at recess try to steal my lunch money
😂😂😂❤❤❤from a turkish podcast listener ı like your high energy level 🎉🎉🎉
Bahahaha! That was a surprise cry-laugh thanks to Matt 😂😂😂
Matt Gourley was absolutely going to call Sona his B but caught himself :D
Definitely 😂
I liked the Buick Skylark part. That detail just made me laugh. Keep em coming.
Saying it was a solid C+ was some Norm style humor made it an A+ instantly. Conan’s just gotta channel more of that humor Norm is trying to send him from beyond.
in turkish , swears are as art. Also some swears as a conjuction between two words. But I’m against to swearing.
LMFAO this was the funniest 11 minutes I've experienced in while, thank you kindly!!!
Hey Sona... how about when the realtor was showing my turkish aunt an apartment and she walked into the kitchen and turned to my mom and declared, bu mutfuk cok ufuk... the realtor thought she was cussing up a storm... but it merely translates to "this kitchen is too small"

I implore any fans of Matt to listen to the Superego podcast where his madness is on full display.
My father did the same thing. "GODDAMNIT ANYWAY!" (7:25) Also "SONOFABITCH ANYWAY!" I never understood the 'anyway.' Eventually, I came to think of it as 'Why should I have expected anything else? It's my fault for thinking it would go right.'
My Brasilian grandfather helped raise us & always swore in Portuguese; so that's always in my head & i lol every time I think about him & those swears! 😂🇧🇷
I just start laughing the moment Sona start laughing LOL
Conan Learning Turkish Curse words? Waow. Definitely a watch later since I am outside right now. 😂

'If my grandmother had wheels, she would have been a bicycle' - Gino D'Acampo
This is the second time Conan talks about his childhood home. Last time he talked about how he broke his arm and got promoted to the second floor. And now all I can imagine is his family living in a Weasley style house with endless floors and rooms for all the red headed children 😂😂😂
oooooh moses!
He talks about it a lot actually lol
"Go buy some lips, reacharound!" is the best insult I've ever heard.

Literally DYING Matt unfortunately speaks just like me 🤣😂 I always start talking before I formulate where it’s going.
This should be helpful. I worked at a Casino in Germany, all you ever heard were these words and phrases 😂
Literally laughing out loud 🤣🤣
I ❤ Sona!
I was already crying laughing but “HAP-PEE BIRTHDAY!”sent me over the edge
Is no one gonna talk about the recap of the moments before the start of the recording. 😂
It’s funnier to me because they fitted the video of Conan and Sona fighting in a window while their ongoing banter.🤣
The gotdamn HELLOOO kills me everytime! 🤣🤣🤣💀
Finally, wouldn’t let me watch this yesterday!
I'm also good at cursing. I was raised by my grandparents & my grandpa was a Teamster.

There were probably great insults through out time that were said by languages humanity no longer speaks.
Absolutely. Old world curses, like the ones Sona learned from her dad, are some of the best.
