  • Amplicon sequencing is a highly targeted approach that enables researches to analyze genetic variation within specific genomic regions. This deep sequencing method allows efficient variant identification and characterization. With the advances of high-throughput sequencing, amplicon data is becoming more convenient and accessible. Thus, it is one of the most used technique to investigate complex microbial communities. With the aid of various bioinformatic pipelines, this sequence data can be clustered to obtain microbial profiling and its diversity. Therefore, in this webinar we will share the fundamental of amplicon sequencing, the challenges, overview of bio-informatics analysis and methods to access sequencing data to understand the microbial profiling in a sample.
