- 2015 Nissan Rouge need a transfer case so I removed the old one and put in a new one!! The axle carrier bearing would not come out. No big deal. Watch to see what I did. Up close shots of driveshaft bolts and exhaust hanger toward the end. I hope you enjoy and thanks for watching!!!

Man brother, your video saved me alot of money!!! The transfer case was pretty simple with the tips in your video!!! Thank you!!!
Thanks for taking the time to comment! That is why I make videos! Thanks again glad it was helpful!
I can fix PC's and build PCs - But terrible when it comes to vehicles lol - I have 2014 Nissan Rogue and my transfer case needs to be replaced. So, I had no clue where it went and or what it does for the vehicle. Thankfully, my buddy is a solid mechanic in our town, and he is letting me do payments on part and labor. Great Video!
Thanks I’m glad you got it handled thanks for the comment!
Well, glad I saw you do this. Just replaced the exhaust yesterday on my 2008 rogue awd and noticed some leakage and play where the shaft enters the transfer case. The prospect of dealing with these craptastic fasteners is not appealing at all. I was hoping it might just be replacing the seal but now I'm thinking the bearing would need to be replaced too which I'm sure requires pulling the whole thing out, disassembly, pulling and pressing in a new bearing.
We Just replace the transfer case.
I found used transfer case for 150 just replace it!!!
@@Rac19802000 where'd you get a transfer case? Wife's 2014 Rogue went to the dealer and they said hers is leaking. Quote about 3500 parts and labor
How about a bright light so we can see better.
I have recently upgraded my lightening! Thanks for the tip and watching!
Are these transfer case input shafts held in by a snap ring? I have one in the shop with a broken input shaft. The broken piece is stuck in the trans 😅
Yes but the carrier is often seized.
Hey I need to put the oxygen sensor bracket back forgot where I removed it from can you tell me plz?
Probably near the o2 sensor it’s been a while. Sorry thanks for watching and the comment
Is this the same set up process removal transfer case for a 2017 Nissan Rogue AWD 2.5L?
Probably similar just got a look and see
Thank you sir!
Now I just need get a lift... 😩
Or a pit. 😫
Or a guy. With a place.
Yeah, I have to replace my wife's 2017 rogue TC. Dealer wanted $5k lol ($3K pre biden). Now I have to find a part, service manual, replacement parts, and book time on a lift.
Good luck. Atleast it’s newer. I find Nissans pretty easy to work on anyways! Hope all goes well and this video is helpful! Thanks for watching and the comment!
so how many hours of labor did this take? I have a 2009 Murano that's been sitting in my driveway for a very long time. It has a destroyed transfercase.
Looks like 4 hours or so. A guess but probably pretty close. Thanks for watching and the comment!
@@doingstuffwithdylan4367 It would help a ton if you had more light on it. Cannot really see what you are doing. I have a 2012 that seems to be leaking trans fluid into the transfer case. Do these transfer cases fail a lot? ~120k, should I just replace the transfer case while I am at it?
@@renof2505 These transfer cases don’t fail very often. If you’re trans mission fluid is leaking into the transfer sounds like the seals bad. We do transmissions on these a lot more than we do transfer cases. Thanks for the comment I hope I was helpful. And I have since upgraded my lighting. thank you for the suggestion
How you get to that 12 mm bolt in that corner, it two?
It’s not easy sorry this video doesn’t have the best lighting or explanation
Yo, yo from one fella Mechanic to another I really appreciate your videos Wow, you did a wonderful job. You could use a lot more lighting on the bottom of your vehicle throughout the duration of your video but other than that it was awesome video. It helped me understand the axle process and taking the passenger lower ball joint on the front wheel off. Thank you so much. @madmikescustomdaily
Thanks for taking the time to comment man I really appreciate it. That’s literally why I make these videos. I have since I upgraded the lighting thank you for the constructive criticism.
how to find and replace an awd control module and coupler on a 2018 nissan rogue
Not sure man. Good luck!
This must be a rogue select.. I dident have a ptu shaft that went into the trans.
That’s good! Easier that way! Thanks for watching
Bulllst. I. Just. See. A. Crazy. Fellas. Work.
Light. No
Close up. No. Working like . crazy. Yesssssssss😂😂😂😂😂
Sorry I’ve got better lights now and explain every thing better. Thanks for the feedback.
What was wrong with it? I have a 18’ I think that has a T-Case going out. It has a noise almost like a baseball card in a spoke wheel, very noticeable in town driving. Front wheel bearings and CV shafts were replaced before I got it
Honestly I’m not quite sure. I’m just the r and r guy on this job. These trannies go bad a lot. Just take it some where you trust and have them check it out. Thanks for the comment!
It's a good thing he has a lift and air equipment lets give it a try on jack stands with only hand tools!
That sounds awful thanks for commenting and thanks for watching
Great information except it was so dark and basically only 1 angle so it was really not worth watching for those that kinda need to see what is actually going on... Thx
Sorry, I’ve since I upgraded my lighting
Can't see anything 😢
Sorry I have since upgraded my lighting.
Would be better if you could improve your lighting. Can't see anything.
