  • 2015 Nissan Rouge need a transfer case so I removed the old one and put in a new one!! The axle carrier bearing would not come out. No big deal. Watch to see what I did. Up close shots of driveshaft bolts and exhaust hanger toward the end. I hope you enjoy and thanks for watching!!!

    I can fix PC's and build PCs - But terrible when it comes to vehicles lol - I have 2014 Nissan Rogue and my transfer case needs to be replaced. So, I had no clue where it went and or what it does for the vehicle. Thankfully, my buddy is a solid mechanic in our town, and he is letting me do payments on part and labor. Great Video!

    Well, glad I saw you do this. Just replaced the exhaust yesterday on my 2008 rogue awd and noticed some leakage and play where the shaft enters the transfer case. The prospect of dealing with these craptastic fasteners is not appealing at all. I was hoping it might just be replacing the seal but now I'm thinking the bearing would need to be replaced too which I'm sure requires pulling the whole thing out, disassembly, pulling and pressing in a new bearing.

      @@Rac19802000 where'd you get a transfer case? Wife's 2014 Rogue went to the dealer and they said hers is leaking. Quote about 3500 parts and labor

    Are these transfer case input shafts held in by a snap ring? I have one in the shop with a broken input shaft. The broken piece is stuck in the trans 😅

    Yeah, I have to replace my wife's 2017 rogue TC. Dealer wanted $5k lol ($3K pre biden). Now I have to find a part, service manual, replacement parts, and book time on a lift.

    so how many hours of labor did this take? I have a 2009 Murano that's been sitting in my driveway for a very long time. It has a destroyed transfercase.

      @@doingstuffwithdylan4367 It would help a ton if you had more light on it. Cannot really see what you are doing. I have a 2012 that seems to be leaking trans fluid into the transfer case. Do these transfer cases fail a lot? ~120k, should I just replace the transfer case while I am at it?

    • @doingstuffwithdylan4367
      @doingstuffwithdylan4367  Před 2 lety

      @@renof2505 These transfer cases don’t fail very often. If you’re trans mission fluid is leaking into the transfer sounds like the seals bad. We do transmissions on these a lot more than we do transfer cases. Thanks for the comment I hope I was helpful. And I have since upgraded my lighting. thank you for the suggestion

    Yo, yo from one fella Mechanic to another I really appreciate your videos Wow, you did a wonderful job. You could use a lot more lighting on the bottom of your vehicle throughout the duration of your video but other than that it was awesome video. It helped me understand the axle process and taking the passenger lower ball joint on the front wheel off. Thank you so much. @madmikescustomdaily

    What was wrong with it? I have a 18’ I think that has a T-Case going out. It has a noise almost like a baseball card in a spoke wheel, very noticeable in town driving. Front wheel bearings and CV shafts were replaced before I got it
