THANK YOU! That worked PERFECTLY! Took maybe 20 seconds of heating and pop. Out it came. I've been in the trade 30 years and still learning new tricks.
I will try this tomorrow. I've wasted a day with a torch, penetrating oil and a slide hammer to no avail. You make it look so easy!
Did you get it to work for you?
@@Autofixpals No, impossible without a lift. I took it to a garage, they couldn't separate it either. They ended up replacing the entire aluminum casting and bearing.
Thank you, you saved my day, even my mechanic didn't know that. Thanks again.
This should be hot tip of the day. Saved my life this morning at work lol
When i learned this trick.... So much time saved and no grey hairs!
Struggled a stuck axle for two days before seeing this. Used this trick with a slide hammer and cv puller and was able to do it alone. Thanks for the tip!
I know this is old but do you remenber how long you have to heat the part, having the same issue.
Thank you! Worked like a charm! Struggled with that damn bearing for well over an hour before I found your video!
This is the best advice I have seen on YT. Thanks much for this. I too live in NE and everything is corroded on a car 2 days after you bring it home.
Life saver!!!! Tha k you brother!!! Tried this after 2 hours of slide hammering and maybe 100 micro concusions lol
Been there. Lots of cursing!
Salamat
Dude, this worked exactly the way you said it would. 2008 nissan sentra passenger side front CV Axle came right out. Didn't even use oxyacetylene, just a mapp gas torch with an extension. Thanks again!!
NVM IT WORKED THE SECOND TIME AROUND. probably cause I was so pissed off and frustrated!!!
Thanks for the helpful tip. 🤘🏾
I'm going to have to try this. My dad and I fought with this tonight for so long. We had a come-along hooked up to it trying to draw it out with so much tension. I'm going back over tomorrow and trying this.
This worked great for me, spent hours with a pry bar and penetrating oil. I did use a air hammer while torching as it was a little harder to get a pry bar where i needed it! Thank you so much!
Brother, just like that it pops out! You save me so much time and headache! Thanks Matthew.
Slipped right out. Thank you very much! It's possible to do it with the bar in one hand and the torch in the other.
Yea, I did the same.
Was fighting with one for hrs till I saw your video wow came out so easy
Got a 2010 Nissan Sentra north East ,had to rephrase my search bar but glad it came up ooo yeah it help
Thank you for sharing. Just came out to my GF’s 11 Nissan Rogue…front passenger leaking green grease. Certainly glad I came across this video.
Worked perfect! I don't have acetylene, so I used MAPP gas with a soldering/plumbers tip. 2 minutes of heat and it slipped out. Thanks!
Listen to the man. It works. You can do it yourself if you have a 90 degree pry bar and a map gas torch. thank you
Thank you I beat on this thing for a whole day and it never moved great video.
Very nice! I have one right now that is stuck. Thank you for the quick tip. I sure hope this works on the one I have. It's not rusty or corroded, just stuck. I'm Oklahoma so we don't get the rust like y'all in the N.E.
best vid on axel removal , right to the point and clear direction. thanks
Thanks bro. This issue turned my 3 day project into 2 weeks.
This sure as hell did help I was about to remove the header and then remove the bearing carrier. I was thinking heat but wasn't expecting that to work considering a manufacturer wouldn't do that to us. But I'd be wrong about that
Nice Tip!!! 30 Seconds of heat, and right out. Thanks
Your welcome.
Thanks for the tip!!! Job started with seized cv joint in hub that I worked on for an hour, ended up seperating axle and puting it in a press with 5t of pressure and heat waited and finally came out. Next inner part of axle was seized and I tried other methods with no luck. Your video helped alot!
Very good gust did one of those got it used from the wrecking yard with the bearing did not know this yet had to take the exhaust front pipe down to get it out with the bracket got it done but next time I will try what you did
I just wanted to tell u i Iove u god this thing has been kicking my ass
Thanks Bro!
Great idea! Worked like a charm! Very much appreciate you and this Video
Thanks bro, nice tip, I'm going to be trying this out later today. Last time I did one of these, I had to remove the entire thing including the f...ing bracket and put it in a press bcuz it was frozen solid.
Thanks..great video and illustration and demonstration executed flawlessly.
Dude ur life saver been trying for 3 hrs trying to get this stupid axle out
Thank you so much, it worked perfectly on my xtrail, you just saved my day
Thank you!! Worked like a charm
You are Awesome!!! YES WORKED LIKE A CHARM!!! THXS!!!
thank you very much really save a lot of time
Awesome trick. Can't wait to try it next time one comes in. That shouldn't be too long. most people at my dealership either air hammer it out of the bracket after putting some heat on it or remove the bracket and bring it to the press. This truck sounds great. I saw Eric o post a great similar trick with press in bearings and the hub.

@@davidtrethaway2524 ?
I tried it a few times with no luck. Back to the air hammer I went. Not sure where you live, but I'm in the rust belt.
worked like a charm. thanks
Got to love the good old heat wrench!
absolutely!.... You know whats funny though. with this axle if you just heat it and it gets too much heat the dam n axle wont come out. The first time i had a fight with this style axle i ended up melting the braket a bit and it still didnt come out. Then i went to work for Nissan a co-worker showed me this method and its worked like 90% of the time so far.
Great video “you da man”
Nothing like that acetylene🔥cool video😎
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!
Best video on this problem I have seen than you so much !!!!
You just help me out big time! Thanks!
Good day, Is it similar for an AWD in the 2011 Rogue? TIA.
Update :- 10 minutes of heat from Bernzomatic UL 100 does the job and thank you for the video, cheers.
Great tip.
This worked really good idea
Doing this job tomorrow, do I will definitely try this.
Good stuff
thank you for awesome tip.
what a life saver 😂👍🏻👍🏻
Yep that was my next step lol 🔥
I’m struggling on a 2009 Nissan Sentra 2.0 passenger side axle. I’ve been beating it for 3 days. I’m going to try this method. Last resort is cutting the axle out as I need to take out engine and tranny out anyhow. I hope I can save the axle. If the method works for me, I’ll be sure to return and update my comment
What about putting the axle back in----- will it just slide in
It worked perfectly! Thx for the tip
HELL YEA BUDDY WORKED PERFECT THANKS MAN!!!
Straight to the point. Thanks for the help.
Good video thanks alot. Relieved my headache
Will 1 of those barbeque grill lighters with the long stem work instead of a torch?
bloody brilliant thank u
How much pressure did u have to pressure 1 being the least and 10 being the highest, and again thank you for that
ide say a 6
Any info on replacing the actual support bearing
I can see how the hole sky is open for me! Wonderful! An so smartly!
Great tip video. Thanks
Heck yea worked like a charm
Yep ,this helped
Got one in the shop now from Vermont( I'm in S.C., cars dont rust). Been beating from the backside of this axle for about an hour now..gonna try this tomorrow. Only have mapp gas though. Thanks for the tip!
Oh yeah,subbed
not sure if mapp gas is going to get it hot enough fast enough. You need to get it hot quick. If your willing to spend a few bucks, see if they have this little kit at a local HomeDepot. Its puts out a lot of heat, but the oxygen dont last long. "WK5500 Brazing Torch Kit" google it.
let us know how you made out with getting that axle out.
Had to get a bracket. It wouldn't give up the ghost. Lol. Nissan dealer had a bracket on the shelf thank goodness. It might have won the battle but I won the war! Lol! Thanks man!
@@mikemcelveen2973 lmao.. Wait til you get a 2013+ Pathfinder or 2015+ Murano from up north and you are the unlucky person that has to remove the RF axle. Its worst than the Rogue, Cast iron braket that wont even let go when cherry red from an oxy acetylene torch. I end up cutting a straight slot in it, cracking it with an air hammer then weld it back if its a customer pay job. If its Nissan well i put a new bracket in and axle Just to make Nissan pay for making such a stupid design. .. Glad you got it done.
I have a 2008 rogue. Changed the left side cv axel. And right side still has vibrating
Is the drive axel casing wasted because it has a vibration I want to know is it the driver axel ???? Please reply
Worked for me to. Thanks again.
Thank you very much. Great tip and video!
Will this leak out all transmission fluid when pulls out of transmission?
Any tips on how to remove the axle seal, i have used a seal puller and it still didn't work out. i have the car on jacks and thank you for your time.
Gracias sir u the man
Great video, i now have a new channel to watch lol thanks
Thank You
My man!👍🏽thank u for this.
On an Awd Rogue isn't normal that you can manually spin the front wheels while the front is lifted while the selector is in parking position?
yes its normal. The differential allows the wheels to spin but in opposite direction only. They both wont spin the same direction when in park.
Nice, appreciate it
Thank you ! for sharing.
Am bleeding with my stuck axle
Ill try your method bro
Tomorrow 😢
Thank you!
Not necessary just remove the bracket bolted to the block.. 3 13mm bolts and axle out of the way
Is it possible to install the drive Axle with the bracket on?
great video nice work
Is this the same as the 2011 Murano ? Front passenger.
Great video!
thanks
I be doing one tomorrow
Hi, will a Burnzomatic Torch produce enough heat ?
Update: worked perfectly , Thanks ! , took about 15 minutes using a standard propane Bernzomatic torch. before this I tried everything including air hammer form back and slide hammer.
Hopefully this keeps me from swearing again tonight.
Can i use a hand kitchen torch
it wont get hot enough fast enough.
Even I bought a torch from autozone, I used penetrating and wD404. It don’t wannna come off. I spent the whole day in this Axle.
why not remove that bracket holding the bearing then pop bearing on the bench?
Lots more work and even then, doing it on the bench bakes it more difficult because its not fixed to anything as sturdy as a 3500lb vehicle. My work bench don't weigh that much.
Well dune 😎
That's my issue right now but the shop ran out of oxygen...fml
I'm the %5
Sorry to hear that! Sometimes they just wont come out.
@@Autofixpals had to replace the housing of the bearing and that involves removal of the cat
Nissan pathfinder you not heve video s.
Didn't work for me. 🤬🤬🤬
Thai video is stupid. It’s missing 90% of the actual process
Thanks
