- The WEN 6524 Oscillating Belt and Spindle Sander. Unboxing and testing this sander to see if it's worth the $160 I paid for it. A handy device for any woodworking shop, is this the right sander for you?? Depending on the time you watch this video, it may be on sale! It was for me!! Footnote: Yes I know I should've worn a dust mask while using the sander, but it kills the audio, and I didn't use it but for a moment!

Maybe it's because I'm middle aged, but I usually just skip through the unboxing portion of a tool review.
Set-up, operation, and results,.... that's what I'm looking for.
I've been looking at these for a while now, because I could use a spindle sander, but since I already have a couple of different belt sanders, I think I will save a few bucks and just get a plain spindle sander instead of one of these combos. They cost a good bit less, and have a machined aluminum top.
For someone with limited space, I could see these being perfect for them though.
Yeah the one I looked at was $125 and this only was $160, just felt it was worth it, but I feel the standard one would be just fine!

Thanks for the review! I picked up the dedicated spindle version of this tool a few weeks ago and I love it! Also, mine came with the same wrench and I couldn't find anything the the big end fit either.
Beats me! 😂 I’ve looked it over. There’s a slot into the body of the sander for a larger nut for something! Who knows?!
