You can actually get Abra to the right of jubilife city.
But why bother when you wont need it until the short while later when you can capture Kadabra?
@@ThePrimeDirective_ um you should get a Kadabra by roark (depending on how many members you are raising), which means you can get an Alakazam around that time if you can trade.

@@Eminster Mystic never makes these teams where you have overleveled Pokemon during your important battles, always on par -- and Roark's Pokemon go up to level 14, not 16, which is when Abra evolves. As many people pointed out, Monferno can handle Roark's team with Mach Punch, so you wouldn't need that. If you wanna argue having it for Gardenia, I get it.
@@ThePrimeDirective_ personally I agree with you. I think having an alakazam before the first gym would make half the game boring as anything and easy. Some people might like that yes but not me. I want to be challenged

Monferno learns close combat at level 36 right before it evolves into Infernape, so you don’t have to wait until level 41.

I know fighting is times four effect on weavile, but 70% accuracy and the fact that weavile is supereffective on alakazam still makes it a big risk tho
I love the team, but why did you not give Porygon-Z Tri Attack
This team would have a difficult time with Volkner, as the only ground type move is on gyarados...
it's not like he is tough so lol
I mean even neutral attacks can most likely take care of him
dusknoir being immune to that monster electivire is all that is needed to be worried about honestly, just 1 tap the rest
Infernape can also learn dig via tm
I think you can't actually get into Lost Tower until you beat Fantina, if so, you can't use Duskull for that battle (luckly you can just use Gyarados' Bite for it, if that's the case)
You're right, in Platinum there's two people blocking the gate to the lost tower route until you get the relic badge
Or use the true best starter turtwig and use bite/crunch

Sinnoh is famous for 2 things; New stone evolutions and trade evolutions. You went with the latter.
Also, looking forward to what we can use in the remakes later this year.

But technically, you're right and wrong.
Garchomp, Lucario, Drapion(ik Underrated n not popular), and the Legendaries/Mythics like Arceus, Dialga, Palkia, Darkrai, etc.
I think in remakes togekiss and azumarill will be very usefull against cynthia if she will have her platinum team but I have no idea what other usefull pokemons might be because I don't know if we'll get pokemons from new gens before post game or just from original gen4 games
In an ideal world, I'm hoping to use Torterra/Yanmega/Carnivine/Bastiodon/Quagsire/Drifblim.
First four are ones I've never used yet really like, haven't used Drifblim since my first ever Pokemon game, and Quagsire is my all-time fav. I love my derpy salamander boi.

I feel like Gastrodon would be a better pick over Gary, electric immunity and one weakness covered by first 2 mons already. Good special move coverage also 😁

Dusknoir 👻 and electricvire ⚡️ are two Pokémon that goes well with Iron fist 🤜 ability.

You don't get the stone edge tm until after fighting Cyrus. You could use the rock slide tm from Mt. Coronet or teach Infernape thunder punch from the move tutor on Route 212.

I had a gyrados called unagi in platinum and I so agree with it's place in the team. It's pretty bulky and hits like a truck
Talonflame is one of those pokemon that looks like the attack stat is a lot higher than it is
Infernape does well against Roark if you evolve chimchar into moferno with mach punch, it may have to be careful, but speed should help it pull through. It should have been mention.

Gyarados is such a cheat code in playthroughs especially since the physical special split that it almost seems unfair kind of like with staraptor and Excadrill

Infernape, Luxray, Lucario, Garchomp, Gengar, Abomasnow was my first playthrough of Platinum, and I think one of the best teams to fight Cynthia.
Mine is Infernape, Jolteon, Crobat, Garchomp, Scizor, and Gastrodon. Cynthia was a walk in the park with this team.

Unova will be hard since there are just SO many different variations of pokemon you could use for basically every use
I’ve never used a Porygon at all on my team so I’ll gladly use this
Sinnoh needs more fire pokemon i didnt realize how big of a problem it was until i played brilliant diamond i missed generation 4 growing up
I highly suggest that you replace signal beam with tri attack because of
1. Stab
2. Bug is only good against grass and dark but you already have ice beam for grass and most important draj type that you have to fight in this game are either part fire or poison
Bug is also good against psychic but i agree that tri attack is stupidly good, especially because Porygon has adaptability.
So tri attack damage is effectively doubled. I'd even argue to just have 2 coverage moves and have both tri attack and hyper beam.
Porygon-Z with adaptability has the most powerful hyperbeam in the game. Its base damage is 300 while coming from the massive 135 base special attack!!!
Staraptor is a great addition, if you pick Torterra.
Wow, you didn't disappoint here. Yet again, we get another great no restrictions team, and with Alakazam (again). Great work, Mystic. Really love this best team. :)

Alakazam is dangerous in any region you can get it, because as long as you can counter or keep it away from it's weaknesses it will slaughter just about anything else that looks at it wrong.
Still remember Team Four Star using one with a similar moveset to the one mystic posted (albeit Shadow Ball over Focus miss) swept cynthia after 5 calm minds despite her pokemon being at higher levels.

Before fairy was introduced, dialga was always a no brainer for me (for a non restriction team).. the typical box art leg. stats combined with the amazing type of dragon steel only weak to dragon was just amazing

Does this actually include all the VMs that you need for getting around in the game, or does he not consider them? I'm not sure I recognize them all because I played the game in German, but I could swear not all of them are in there...

And garchomp is not that great only good against Bertha and Cynthia garchomp and if you got out sped you're screwed
@@Zxeyious you'll have one for Volkner it'll sweep, and for the league it's good against Aaron with Rock Slide or Stone Edge, Flint, Lucian with Crunch and for Bertha it can Earthquake. For Cynthia Spiritomb has no weaknesses, so use Swords Dance and EV trained it's speed while grinding and it'll sweep (idk if u can get Swords Dance TM before the league but it can still kill most of Cynthia's mons without Swords Dance)
Just imagine how cool Infernape will look in Sinnoh Remakes
When you pick Infernape, Staraptor becomes redundant. Crobat is a better pick. Has higher speed, which is always helpful.

pretty solid but I'd swap the abomasnow, Ice ain't my fav type, I'd rather use a magmortar and swap the houndoom with a grass tyoe

He's putting Gyarados in a team with a perspective of not having any HM Users. Otherwise, Surf could easily be replaced with Dragon Dance.

I still think Milotic is better than Gyarados. Sure it's late game and a pain to get. But a modest or timid Milotic is insanely good.
I have some other candidates to this team. Garchomp is really obvious, Giratina also is really good (I supose being No Restrictions means legendaries are allowed) and Blissey, if used correctly, it can null any special attacker through its massive special bulk, Serene Grace and Charge Beam combo, healing with Soft-boiled and great special movepool. Pokémon Challenges has a video talking on why did he ban Blissey from its Nuzlocke challenges, so think how broken is it.
I think he didn't include the Legends because they are only at the end of the game.
Can I replace any member of the team for Electivire?
Replace Dusknoir. Dusknoir isn’t worth the effort
I personally would get gengar instead of dusknoir, especially for the diamond and pearl games.
My Team would be;
Empoleon, Gallade, Porygon-Z, Houndoom, Rhyperior, Altaria.
But you can get a Abra from a trade in Orburgh City. Just get a Machop and it has the Modest Ability
