So... Cynthia.
Hi truegreen7 :D
wut
This gets my thumbs up.
love ur vids been a fan since 2014 :D getting better, keep up the good work!!
Tru
So basically Cynthia's Team from Platinum.
She knew what was up
MLG no scope Cynthia team
And that's why she was such a great champ
Just without Spiritomb anywhere.
what was her team? i didnt played gen 4
What if Arceus got a mega?
Base Stat total: Infinite
Type: God
Tier: F**k you
xD I'm laughing so hard!!!
ayy lmao I want to fucking die xd
***** What did I do?
Guessing mega raquaza is that tier
+Shadowscale 999 nah m8 alolan Exacutter
No props for staraptor, the most badass bird?
Altaria will drop staraptor
Dopplegänger, It's awesome cause that thing could somehow learn close combat
You said it bro ! Staraptor is a beast
Well, I wouldn’t call it overpowered.
What about wingull?
I started liking pokemon in gen 4 it was my first gen
"liking"
There are too many people on the Internet RN like this
It was my first gen too
genwunner
Im actually a gen 1 fan because of the anime and the cards but my 1st game was platinum
it's my favorite gen diamond was my first game and then I played platinum and boy was it a big improvement.
it was a big improvement I meant.
Me too! My brother had Pearl so we each ended up getting the other versions' exclusives. He hated my Bronzong and Torterra!
no, rotom isn't a legendary
+Bram Jans rotom is a faux legendary in gen 4, given its exclusivity?
I'm not sure, all I know is that it's stats are too low for it to be a legendary pokémon
wanna hear a joke:
Hm move defog
@George Washington Entertainment yeah, but it's still useless as hm move
HM Flash
PolaroidFreak 600
Rock Tunnel: am i a joke to you?
True lmao
@@murasakino7008 Rock tunnel map on bulbapedia: yes, you are
God, 4 of Cynthia's Platinum team was on this list. Good choices
Gen IV is my favorite by far, the special/physical split, amazing music, there's nothing not too like
I completely agree!
Well, in Diamond and Pearl the pacing wasn't very good, Defog was practically a necessity in all of the Sinnoh games, the games run fairly slowly, and the last 3 gyms can be incredibly forgettable. Nonetheless, Platinum is still one of my favorites (my favorite gen was 3)
The game is slow as a fucking 50 year old snail.
Rhubarb724 Gen 4 was my first gen but the pacing was painful. The only gen 4 games I can bear is HG/SS
Rhubarb724 except that there's only 3 fire types at most in the main story.
8:08 oh god why are you setting up swords dance against a level 19 budew, he doesn't deserve this
She doesn't deserve this
@@rajeshe5279 it doesn't deserve this
I haven't watched the video, but I'm calling it now: inb4 garchomp
i agree
You got it mate
Gg
how can you say sinnoh is forgetable .... when it fucking intoduced the physical special split
DPP is the best gen for competitive play, period.
Armageddon Knight How can it be better when Gen 5 had the exact same mechanics?
Gen 5 had team preview. Case in point: every gen after 4 sucks.
Armageddon Knight Yup, when you're a elitist that's true.
@@ninezerotwo1778 can't say they suck. But I never played Pokemon after gen 4. However I have started playing again recently. But I'm just playing platinum again on my PC haha
I understand why you don't like Gen 4 that much, but I'm bias, and that's the first game I played, and I still replay it.
@@generic_username27 Fair enough.
@@generic_username27 announced 😈
Am I the only one who liked gen 4
same I hate the camera angle in the new Pokémon Games
I think he said in his Top Pokemon Villains video that he does still like Gen 4, just less than the others.
I find gen 4 amazing
No gen 4 is my favourite and the only one I play, i only play pearl, diamond and platinum
Gen 3, 1, and 4 my fav
why does your infernape have Calm Mind but have
Flare Blitz
Shadow Claw
and
Close Combat
Damn Logic
Mr. Pineapple to raise the Sp Def u dummy
тнєʟєɢєɴᴅ 27 Use amnesia then. Calm mind is only mostly used to boost the SP attack so they are stronger, who knows if a pokemon has a SP move or physical move.
@@Keshav-il2hp InFeRnApE dOeSn'T lEaRn AmNeSiA
*Disappointed Cunt* It could in gen 4 from egg moves.
Yes Gen4 my favourite gen which gave me three of my favourite games: Platinum, HeartGold and PMD: Explorer's of sky not to mention the likes of Cyrus, Cynthia and Arceus. It also gave me my favourite pokémon Luxray!, my favourite early route mon Starly that evolves into a monster Staraptor moreover let's not forget Lucario whose popularity rivals that of Pikachu (got into smash too) and Gen4 gave us one of the most OP competitive Pokemon: Garchomp!.
Yup. I always loved Staraptor's cry. Garchomp broke the meta for two generations, it was amazing, and Heartgold was perfect. I actually got a gold leaf crown on a few pokemon.
+Sam Murray Starptor was badass
To be honest Luxrai is my least favorite gen 4 Pokemon
+Fifek900 Luxray was the coolest looking electric type in that game no other I thought looked that good. And it's Pokédex entry said it had x-ray vision just made it cooler. And besides shinx was adorable.
DarkshadowXD63 I like electavire garvantulla jolteon much more
I've been waiting for this for so long...
I literally watched all of the other ones yesterday
+Kristopher Ison me too
me too
+Kakashi Hatake bowie sensei dat chu?
Staraptor's Brave Birds were, and even moreso now, brutal af. It was the first truly viable regional bird (Swellow had Guts and Speed, but it's frailty is a big issue) which actually packed outright power. Murders a lot of things with Close Combat, Brave Bird and Double Edge/Return (for a safer option).
Gen 4 straight-up is tied with gen 3 for the most number of Pokemon from it that I would put on a top 10 favorite Pokemon list (if I ever make a countdown[My account is mainly for commenting and subscribing right now])
+PokeFan950 Nah lets see in ou atm from gen 1 we have gengar, both mega zards, starmie, chansey, mew, zapdos, mega venusaur and dragonite, clefable, mega pinsir, slowbro. From gen 2 we have skarmory, tyranitar, scizor, azumarill, raikou, mega heracross From gen 3 we have breloom, metagross, mega gardevoir, mega sableye, latios and latias, jirachi, mega manectric, mega medicham . From gen 4 we have magnezone, garchomp, heatran, weavile, hippowdon, gliscor, mega lopunny, rotom-w, manaphy, tangrowth. gen 5 has bisharp, excadrill, serperior, amoongus, kyurem-b, landorus-t, thundurus, tornadus-t and keldeo. From gen 6 we have klefki talonflame, mega diancie, and volcanion
+PokeFan950 so basically if we count the mega zards as different mons which they are then gen 1 has more pokemon in ou
thank you staraptor is a beast
he was talking about his favorite pokemon list, not in OU ATM
1:24 “How can something so beautiful also be so devastating at the same time?”
You haven’t met my ex.
garchomp in 3...2....1...
Weavile was my previous favorite pokemon, i started using him in gen4, breed ice punch into one. called him darth and accidently EV trained him in defense and speed...
he took out a fair share of dragons in his pkm battle revolution career.
why do you have a modest nature with physical movesets
I can't get over it either
+Ana Bang because he just action replayed them in quickly to make the video (they were all met at lvl 100). He isn't battling with them so he doesn't care about nature's or IVs
+Taiga Hirose funny cause there is a code to set their nature as well as the level and pokemon. And there is a code that sets the IVs to 31 too. And they r easy to make.
+Luke Fishron (Twatasaurus) i never said he needed to.. -_-
+Katychu Foy that's just longer to do. If he needed to do it, he may do. But he doesn't.
Dusknoir. Doesn't. DIE.
Eviolite Dusclops says hi
Well Eviolite didn't exist back then but it's still much better in tankiness from gen 5 and on
Knock Off says hi
Hyrule Legend Knock Off sucked back then. It had like 15 base power. Nobody was using it.
Haxorus' Battle-axe Maybe read what Smash 4 Gaming commented?
*Talks about Togekiss*
*Doesn't mention Serene Grace*
Paraflinch strats
Infernape is my favorite Pokemon. And my first starter
EMPOLEON CAN FUCK INFERNAPE UUUUUP
+KnOx. torterra can rekt you
But Empoleon can get Ice Beam to deal with Torterra. It has a 4X ice weakness.
+KnOx. Two words Fighting type, two more words close combat two MORE words higher speed
I love all of the starters, but my fav is Empoleon as it was my first.
In diamond I beat Cynthia's garchomp with my garchomp
What about Gallade?
They need to bring back post gen evos. We got so many great, useful mons from that, gives them a chance to fix an older pokemon after seeing what was holding it back or it's role. I still have Magnezone, Togekiss and Gliscor as regular team slots.
I knew Garchomp would be on the list like come ON Garchomp is Cynthia's strongest pokemon
And pseudo legendary
I flat out yelled "Garchomp is Number 1" at the start of the video
Glad to see you upload again!!! hope youre doing better mandals
Yeah finaly! Was waiting for this video for a while, it was worth the wait though :D
Gen 4 the worst? No Gen 1 is the worst because of the VERY broken Psychic types
I agree
agreeded
gen 1 is the worst as a gen, but 90% of red and blue problems were solved on its remakes. I think he is talking as a game
Pixeljaba Yes I meant the game. I personally think the gen 1 games can burn. And I agree the problems in it were fixed in later games. But that doesn't excuse that this game has easily the worst nostalgic factor. Just look at the genwunners of the Pokémon community. Only gen 1 has the type of fans. And this game started it all. So people could think this is the original and it should not be changed. Anyway that's what I think
I agree and gen 1 was low-budget by the way
Platinum was the most memorable for me because it was one of the first that I played
Yay, I was waiting for this!
YAS finally, I was waiting for this video :3
This is my own experience and opinion that weavile on the list because of its good speed and attack and the ability to learn TM and moves by leveling up that counter 4 out of 6 of weaviles weaknesses
The “YOU WUTT!!!!” When talking about infernape killed me
Really enjoy your well thought out analyses of each gen. Subscribing.
Dude love these! You have the best Pokemon account on CZcams!
So my casual playthrough of platinum was a pretty overpowered team being Togekiss, Infernape, Gliscor, Gastriodon, Garchomp and Giratina
Out of the elite 4 that 2nd elite was the hardest for me xD
close combat on infernape was epic!!!
Nice vid Mandals!
Gastrodon used to be surprisingly good in Gen 4. I thought it would make a honorable mention. There were many great Pokémon to choose from this Gen.
once you get to gen 6, you should do a top 10 OP mega evolutions
Oh, I will =)
I can't wait
+AlmightyMandals I have not seen the full video yet, but I am sure that Garchomp to be at least number 3
I am totally just guessing.
About time mandals!!!
love the memes you include into your videos
yay
also I the number one spot was so unpredictable
I'm surpised you didn't mention Magnezone's overwhelming weakness to Ground. I've always asked myself how the hell the Magnemite line doesn't have Levitate. Hopefully they'll fix that with a Mega in the Sinnoh remake. I want almost all the Pokémon on this list to get Megas.
It gets Magnet Rise as a move? I think that's the best Magnezone's going to get.
+SeeleSO02 But they're litterally floating in mid-air. It makes perfect sense to give them Levitate.
Yeah about that...
I spit out my drink when you put up the buzzfeed picture. Well Played Sir
Yay my bae was on the list. Infernape! First starter I ever had and god damn I fell in love with it
Gen 4 least memorable? In my opinion heart gold and soul silver are the best games yet
It's 2nd gen remake, with 4th engine...
No Gallade? Not even in Honorable Mentions?
Gen 3
hockeykings3793 no silly gardevoir is ten 3 and gallade is gen 4 and this list is gen 4
Brawlerman gallade is garbage my dude
Gallade was bad my friend
@@gavinnn3747 really not gallade he prety good and is stat is to fucking better that infernape and lucario but im not to explain to a novice if i use my gallade i can nuke easy u pok dude
I absolutely loved Bronzong. As a steel/psychic it has a few weaknesses, but they were far outweighed by its abilities.
Thought you would have put Togekiss higher due to Serene Grace + Air Slash + TWave
gen 4 is my fav
Wow Kermit the Frog got a CZcams channel
"Everything covers in fear from garchomp" Ever heard something called snowpoint city?
I know this is four years ago but..
LMAOOOO
I'd say another honorable mention would definetly be Drapion. With only bulky ground types being its only downfall it remained a massive crit powerhouse and could also utilize aqua tail to deal with its weakness.
im from germany and he called his pokemon Hindenburg
Was geht
Du weißt schon dass "Burg" auch amerikanisch ist. Beispiel: Duckburg.
Duckburg ist der amerikanische name für Entenhausen. Lol
I love Gen 4
Number 2 is one of my two favourite fire starters. Depending on the move pool, Infernape can laugh off it's weaknesses like it was nothing
Mandals is awesome ^-^ more pls!!
Personally I loved gen 4. Platinum is probably my fave Pokemon game.
Was serene grace air slash togekiss not a thing back then? Cause honestly its so annoying and deserves a higher rank.
Wow, finally back!
Great work dude this one is much better than the gen 3 one. I felt that the gen 3 video felt a bit well biased because of blaziken and gardevoir but this one felt that there was a lot more research.
I hope Garchomp and Arcues are on this list :3
Arceus won't be because no legends :3
+AnimalloversMonsters technically mythical pokemon arent legendaries as quoted by serebii :)
Im pretty sure Arceus counts as a legendary, even if it has an equal stat distribution.
ywah I was thinking wait the Pokémon god isnt legendary???
+AnimalloversMonsters yes it is and I'm really confused on what everyone said
What happened to A} You and B} the Egglocke :c
I'm gonna resume (and finish) the Egglocke on Sunday.
***** i was surprised to hear that someone disliked gen 4 its generally called the most difficult gen and a lot of people like it
My friends questioned me when I said i was using mamoswine in my soul silver game. I just said that ice types are fun to use.
I love gen 4. Started at the begging but still love every new game
...."next week's video"
bruh Its been like a month
Pokemon Trainer Oswaldo two
He has been battling depression tho check one of his videos where he mentions it
RogueFox depression can be Dealt with in just a month...
??? ??? That's not a good excuse at all
??? ??? Also he seems PERFECTLY fine in his Twitter trust me
Ha.. My actual Gen 4 team was
Empoleon
Roserade
Garchomp
Rapidash
Honchkrow
Lucario
Mine right now is
Torterra
Staraptor
Porygon2
Gabite
Bibarel (HM slave)
Gyarados
That's a nice time you got there my current team is: Torterra, Lucario, Houndoom, Vaporeon, Staraptor and Luxray
for me is
blessey
garchomp
melotic
tyranitar
gardevoir
and he have like 3 or 4 more that i use to much
One of my favorite pokemon games is DP, and one pkmn you miss is staraptor, fast, great movepool and hit very hard
I wished Drapion had an honorable mention. But overall, Great Video and actually used almost all of these pokemon in your list.
Gen 4 is someone's least favorite gen? Wow, something I never thought I'd hear. #ButthurtSinnohFan
Excuse you, where is Gallade? It was unavailable in Gen 3 cuz it came out in Gen 4, redo this video.
Gallade wasn't AMAZING in the metagame, just good.
This list is only for the best
Gallade was incredible in the metagame
The insane attack stat and his access to Fighting/Psychic type STAB, plus his unparalleled versatility, made him a nightmare if you didn't already have your sweeper set up to take him out before he gets the chance to stack some more attack on.
His speed wasn't so great but there weren't too many Pokemon that could straight-out one shot him, there still aren't, and with a few Bulk Ups his Defense stat comes to match his fantastic Special Defense. One Ice Punch puts Garchomp to sleep, and some Drain Punch keeps him sustaining while he's sweeping an entire team with almost no counters.
Except its only viable Psychic move was Psycho Cut. Also, Shadow Ball was a popular move back then, and Gengar's existenholece kind of put Gallade in check. He's good, just not as godlike as you believe. Especially because he couldn't really take a Brave Bird. A Pokemon that requires setup to perform well is therefore situationally useful, and the Pokemon on the list almost all had everything they needed right from the get go.
+Sam Murray 1.) Put a focus sash. 2.) He also got Close Combat, Leaf Blade, X-scissor, swords dance, rock slide, poison jab. And if you chain breed, shadow sneak. 3.) Gengar is Frail as well anyways, but with something like Swords Dance, Focus Sash, Shadow Sneak next turn, gengar is done for.
+Nep Nep this video says OVERPOWERED* not necessarily the "best"
Great video!
I fell in a thorn Bush years ago, it felt like millions of needles stick in my whole body for a second then it numbed my body so then it didnt hurt eventhough I had thorns stuck in my whole body, I still to this day have 1 thorn stuck in my neck, u cant see it because its stuck too far in my neck
So there was no good water type Pokemon in this generation?
Gyardos was very good. But not a gen 4 Pokemon
+YourNameHere lol
+Zandira 21 PALKIA
The only good Fire type was Infernape well In Diamond and Pearl, it was fixed in Platinum
Floatzel was a good water type. Empoleon is pretty good too. But that's pretty much it.
Surprised Spiritomb with Wonder Guard didn't make this list
Cuz that's an illegal ability...
why not slaking with hugepower?
While you were talking about Lucario it reminded me of something, can you do a video about a list Pokemon that became popular from the get-go? Like Charizard, Greninja... et cetera. I think it'd be interesting talking about them.
I love infrenape and it's pre evolutions chimchar is my favorite gen 4 starter
I accidentally over leveled my infernape so much with close combat
NUMBER ONE:
Magikarp.
mandals, hippowdon had amazing special defence in the sand, which its ability sand stream helps out
Yay your back
Hmmm Froslass is by no means 'overpowered'. Have you seen her stats? 80 attack/special attack is terrible and 70 HP/defence/special defense makes it frail. The only decent stat is its speed and yet it still gets outsped and insta-skilled by the likes of Weavile and Alakazam. Dusknoir is a far superior ghost type in gen IV overall for craft and stalling potential
Yet, Froslass has one of the best abilities.
Try using Double Team during Hail.
*flashbacks*
Ice shard psychic shadow ball ominous wind blizzard hail she is deadly believe me she can kill my bulky Emboar and Samaratt
Staraptor should ve been in dis
+Ace Trainer David
Staraptor is too frail
StrasbergProtégé he know nothing about stats
oh nice that buzzfeed burn, loved it!
Yes! I love this series!!!! ^w^
#TEAMINFERNAPE
Infernape should be number one
But you fight lvl100 vs lvl12 so it doesn't show us its power.
And also good pokemons are the ones that can defeat all gyms+team galactic +#4 and the champion.
Video is good I just think it's irrelevant when u try to prepare good team.
What units that may be good at taking on story content might not be for actual pvp trainer battles. On top of that I've ran games where I only use 3 pokemon for every bit of those fights so its really not difficult.
He is back!
I'm a massive dragon ball fan and I didn't even know my favorite Pokemon (lucario) had the same voice actor as goku until like 2 years ago 😂😂
What about johto it was so boring for me
Hell no, jhoto was awesome. It was basically a better version of kanto that had kanto in it. Silver/gold/crystal are my favorite games in the franchise.
Are you like 5???? holy hell
Johto was super boring and lame to me too, you're not alone man, gen 2 was really bad :/
If you're talking about the Gen 2 games (not the remakes), then yes, they didn't really hold up that well after all these years.
+TempestMauve Im talkin about both, the remakes were better but still lame in my opinion
Gen4 is better then these X,Y, Sun,Moon gay gens, nerd!
Sun and moon is gay but x and y is alright
It definitely is but how are people gay by thinking another gen is better than the other?
Kingtony it is... gameplay wise, and pokemon wise. X and Y was way to easy and barely had any new pokemon and sun and moon had a lot of text to go through making the overall experience boring, nothing wrong with the pokemon though I had fun despite that.
THANK YOU
Still prefer Gen 6 over Gen 4 anyday, I can’t go back to slow gameplay all of those games suffer from. Even Pt/HGSS was slow in my eyes.
i just realized how new this video is
A couple words. Attack Boosting Nature, Choice Banded, Close Combat from a Gallade.
