On today's adventure we search the area for an overgrown property that we found! However, we were faced with adversity of various proportions with each as we sought to find a property that would best help our community. Watch to find out what we are up to today on our mission to give back to our community. This video documents before, during and after transformation of the property. We hope you all enjoy!

HI! i enjoy watching your videos. i have a question and a comment. why does Casey get all "dolled" up head to toe? doesn't he get very hot under all that protection? as i am watching you do this lovely work, you are making my back hurt just by watching you guys bend over, pick up the grass/leaves, etc. walk to dump somewhere by hand. i would invest in tarps so that you can put all that stuff on and pull it to the location that you are dumping it. just rake everything onto the tarp, it will probably save your back, time and energy :) just a thought!!! keep up the good work.

You guys could use a tarp to put the branches and cuttings on, then hook it up to the mower to pull it to your truck. It would save time and your energy

I wish my son got along with me like yours.
Tarps get holes in them and fall apart and are expensive to replace. That is why they use the bins or carry it.
The tarps don't get holes in them that fast. Just be careful. I don't understand why you had to rake up all the leaves. Couldn't you have run over them with your Mower and a bagger?
Both of you do great work. I figure Casey wears protective clothing to protect from ticks he protects his eyes and his ears. I like the clothing that says CJ on it and also the water bottle
That's how I do it saves so much time & milage on my feet

Homes become abandoned for many reasons; financial; health; death; tragedy, stress; personal reasons; theft; crime; economy; gentrification; just to name a few. You guys are doing a great service to the community!
And yet Cities have no will to identify and put these homes back into use.
I love the work you guys do but I think my favorite part is break time. You seem to really enjoy each other’s company.
I think what you guys are doing is keeping the neighborhood safer. Less homeless people would occupy it if it doesn’t look abandoned. Also love to see it when older people are helped with their yards that they can no longer keep up. Never could figure why they families just kind of abandon them to take care of themselves.

I think you two do a huge community service. So very very few people would actually do something for people or the community. Don't pay any attention to the armchair keyboard warriors and negativity. Pulling vines is the hardest yard work I know of. I’ve done it many times on our property and it is time consuming and you never know what poisonous stuff you might be into. The after rewards are amazing! Thanks for helping people that cannot do this hard work anymore!

Shifting leaves and branches as suggested a tarpaulin would be far more time efficient for you both,very strange trespass rules you have ,you just make it look so good for neighborhood.
Great transformation family team! After living in the Midwest for so long, I could never deal with the Spanish Moss all over the mature trees. They do give some character to trees on the property but from what I’ve read they cause itchy rashes on exposed skin, if you touch them.

Why don’t you leave the leaves to mulch?
On this particular yard, I raked the leaves in the back because the leaf coverage is preventing grass growth. Though, it is coming up on winter and the leaves are falling, it will most likely be back in this condition mid winter here.

I started watching you guys a while ago because I lived for 20 years near your area. Pretty cool to see a mother/son team doing this. Now I watch regularly. One suggestion. Hook a rope or something to the mower chute so you don’t have to open/close it with your hands.
