- Hello Friends and Family ❤️😌
In today’s video, I discuss the adjustment process of moving back to South Africa after teaching in Korea. From cultural shifts to reestablishing routines, it’s been quite an experience navigating this transition! I have also acknowledged some of my regrets, and I invite anyone thinking of teaching abroad to really plan their exit strategy well and not to leave or return impulsively.
Thank you all for tuning in and being part of this journey. Your support truly means a lot to me! 🙏❤️ I’d love to hear your thoughts or similar experiences-feel free to comment below and share how you’ve handled big moves or cultural changes.

🫠not me hearing my name here🙏🏾. I’m so happy to see you back 🕺🕺🎊🎊some really good points indeed. I never had a permanent job in 🇿🇦 so I don’t know what decisions I would’ve made if I had that opportunity. I think having a permanent job really provides stability. Maybe one can save for vacations abroad?Going abroad should also be a long term goal when you’re older 😭and indeed sometimes we go out there and things don’t work out as we wished they would. Also about coming back home 💯💯💯I’m definitely not trying to settle in anywhere BUT my home, despite the drama we face in 🇿🇦😂I cannot imagine SETTLING anywhere else, but for now, I won’t be around. I love how you’re approaching things as a process, nothing is rushed, just taking it one day at a time! You’re more responsible than me 😂paying your own everything and surviving in this economy, it’s not something to take for granted. Keep healthy and well in every aspect ❤️❤️❤️you look amazing too! 🎉
Hey sis! Lol you dropped some pearls of wisdom in your recent uploads (as you always do), so I had to mention them here 😂 Thanks so much for your constantly encouraging words, and the lovely compliment ❤
it not trauma dumping, i think sharing your experiences, good or bad is an amazing thing... it helps a lot of people.
Awww, thank you for holding space for me. Ningadinwa 🙏🥺
Its good to see you back. Im really appreciating the point on a safety need and how working abroad doesnt guarantee you employment when you go bacn home as the job market is extremely hard to infiltrate.
Are you only looking into working in public schools in SA or you would also work in private schools?
Hey Ms P! Congratulations on your move to Korea, been seeing you adjusting ❤️ Yes I think creating a solid exit strategy and having savings as a safety net is really important when teaching abroad. I am applying for positions in both private and public schools 🥹
It's really something else hey. But I'm definitely seeing and learning things I do not like and will not hang around for. But I told myself that for as long as I'm here I'm going to take it a day at a time and I always need to check in with myself. I'm glad you applying for both and hope you get something soon. And have you ever considered teaching at international schools elsewhere where you will be subject focused or you wanting to be at home for now?
@zizojikizinto we finally made it after so long. And adjusting is definitely a process.
Thanks for sharing.

Navigating adulthood is challenging, you want to go out there and live life but we also want to have some form of stability.
Give yourself some grace💗.

Phillipians 4:7 "The peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and mental powers".
God is going to go through this journey with you.

Much appreciated💗
I couldn't agree more! There is a desire for adventure and exploration, while stability and progress is also super important. I guess adulting is constantly trying to balance all these elements 🥹 Thank you so much for the scripture as well, it's one of my faves ❤️ 🙏
