Skip will forever blame Odell. Its interesting how he wasn't a problem for Stafford, though. Odell had a legitimate shot of being Super Bowl MVP before getting injured. Stafford and the offense struggled once Odell went out by turning it over twice and having several three and outs.

It was the combination of Joe Burrow and OBJ's success that were the final straw for Baker with the Browns. Management saw that and internally said he's not the guy. In the NFL, you cannot draw too much negativity towards yourself and then don't ball. Injury or not; you on the field. Baker is being publicly humbled and to a man; we all kind of go thru that in life but not in public settings.

I’m a Browns fan, and in all honesty, that Vikings game, the Ravens game when the defense got 4 INTS, the Packers game and watching the playoff games this past season (especially the wildcard and divisional rounds) showed and proved that even with a healthy Baker, they wouldn’t be able to win in the postseason, let alone the SuperBowl. But the NFL is a business, and teams are always looking to upgrade several positions every year. And the Browns got a ultra rare opportunity to grab and finally solidified the QB position (and yes I know, they passed up on numerous QB’s that turned out very good or HOF lvl).

I guess the Browns didn’t want to roll the dice on a quarterback coming off shoulder surgery amongst other ailments. I never understood why he kept going out there or why management didn’t hold him out with all the injuries….(if they truly thought of him as a franchise QB)? He was horrible in most of the games and the one game he sat out they won without him. It would have been interesting to see him have a healthy season to see if he would have continued his success.

How did a guy who wanted an extension over play his hand? The Browns investigation went on for 5 months into Deshaun Watson. Baker only asked for a trade recently. I don’t really think it’s his play that’s got him outta there….according to Mary Kay, the main voice and insider in Cleveland, Owner Jimmy Haslem and GM Andrew Berry are over his antics, his immaturity, and his aloofness. Now me personally, if I have to choose between Baker and Deshaun, I gotta keep Baker, only bc I can’t say I want an “adult”, but then go get a guy with Deshauns baggage. Makes no sense.
