- After Baker Mayfield said he’d prefer to go to the Indianapolis Colts, Indy proceeded to trade for Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan instead of Mayfield. Las Vegas Raiders backup Marcus Mariota then got the vacant QB position in Atlanta with the Falcons. According to a new report, the Carolina Panthers have zero interest in Baker Mayfield despite being in the hunt for the services of Deshaun Watson before he ultimately chose to sign with Browns. I think it was 21-0. Doesn't matter. If it was 14-0 after 1, it's the way the 14 points happened. Because I've seen some games over the last 15 seasons that ended the 1st Quarter with one team up 14-0; and those games ended up being much more competitive than what the Pittsburgh Steelers did that Wild Card Game night against Cleveland.

Every team that had vacancy filled it up immediately. Indy said gimme Matty Ice, then Atlanta grabbed Marcus Mariota literally hours later. New Orleans re-signed Jameis Winston. The only reasonable spot left is Seattle, but looking at what they've done so far, they ain't looking for Baker. I don't know of any other spots available that he can play at. Carolina don't want him, most of the teams that struggled last year either have young QBs they're looking to develop or did something about it. He ain't going back to Cleveland. So at this point Baker is either gonna be a backup or he's gonna be waiting by the phone for a team to be like "our QB hurt, we need ya"
