They can afford to wait until someone either comes up with an offer (ie. Seattle), or as soon as a starter goes down (usually camp or preseason), they'll be scrambling to make a trade. He can sit at home until then. 🤷♂

I wonder if Baker was bragging and being loud in the Browns complex saying he’s up next or it’s his turn now referring to setting the qb market. I heard somewhere he was saying something in the line of “it’s my turn now”. So I’m wondering if Browns management was rubbed the wrong way by Bsker openly saying he’s gonna break their bank and saying it like they have no leverage or other choice but to pay him top dollar. Problem is, all these average qbs setting the qb market one after another years back was coming to an end. The money was just getting way too big for qbs that weren’t winning much. It was obvious it wasn’t gonna keep happening like that but Baker probably felt he was locked in to get record setting deal. And Baker seems like the type that would brag about it or speak about it out loud. And Browns obviously weren’t gonna offer him anything over 35 mill a year. To some extent, due to the format of the show and the way Baker consumes a segment per day, I believe Skip is contractually obligated to take the contrary position to reason. It’s like debate class in school. Sometimes, you get stuck having to argue for a position that you really don’t agree with. If that’s the case, then he’s doing a petty impressive job, considering Baker hasn’t given him much ammunition to work with.
