Holy shit that looks gorgeous! Did you plan to make it not fully close? Is there a way to close the ring after making it?
Thanks mate yeah I planned to keep it open but the ends could be fused together to make a connected band, you could also draw then ends out and tie them together like traditional examples of viking braided gold rings.
what did you spray on it (about 7 min in)?
Flux, Auroflux specifically
How think is the wire you started with?
Sorry for the late reply, it was 2mm I believe
where did you get that torch, link?
It's a Smith Little Torch, I got mine through Cookson Gold.
What is the weight of gold you started with
I started with about 30 grams of gold wire which split into two rings.
🐝💤💥❤💫👍
How thick was the wire?
1.6mm I think
That would be about 16 gauge.
Gorgeous ring. Can I buy one from you?
